@MadamMaltesers I was worried in my first pregnancy and ended up getting 3 early scans because I just couldn’t believe I was pregnant. I wish now I could have just enjoyed not having the symptoms because I really struggled in my third trimester. Good luck for saturday

Dogmum5 · 28/10/2021 19:59

I have an early scan on Saturday, should be 6+2.

Good luck for everyone with scans coming up🤞

pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 20:07

Has anyone had the flu jag yet or the COVID booster?xx

MadamMaltesers · 28/10/2021 20:33

@Stargazer89 thnx, im just going to enjoy it whilst it lasts and il try not to let it consume my thoughts.

@Dogmum5 good luck to you too!

@pregnancydiaries

Has anyone had the flu jag yet or the COVID booster?xx
I've had my flu jag this week, due my Covid booster in three weeks X
Imhereforthecake · 28/10/2021 20:56

@pregnancydiaries I had my flu and covid booster at the same time, before I knew I was pregnant. All was fine Smile

CurryandSnuggle · 28/10/2021 22:13

Are pregnant people supposed to have covid booster if they’re double jabbed and not in an “at risk” group?

OP posts:
pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 22:31

Thanks @unknownscot @Imhereforthecake I’m so paranoid this pregnancy so it’s good to hear others going ahead.

@CurryandSnuggle sorry I probably should have said I’m in an at risk group as I have Chrons so that’s the only reason I know I’ve been offered it, not sure about the pg rule in general xxx

CurryandSnuggle · 28/10/2021 22:35

Oh ok thank you, I was worried I’d missed the memo! Grin

@CurryandSnuggle
Yes, sorry I'm an NHS worker hence my booster so early too
X

unknownscot · 29/10/2021 07:05

In saying that - does anyone else work in the NHS, or work 12 hour shifts?

I'm really really struggling with the tiredness. Genuinely don't know how I'll cope as 12h today and tomorrow!

CurryandSnuggle · 29/10/2021 07:19

Do you think you could tell your employer about the pregnancy? Would they in future be able to ensure you don’t have two back to back?

OP posts:
pregnancydiaries · 29/10/2021 07:34

@unknownscot I also work in the NHS here in Scotland but I’m mon-fri 9-5 with a couple of on call shifts so definitely not as bad as the 12 hour shifts, especially if you are front line. I would always want my team to let me know so that I can try to help in any way so really suggest speaking to your line manager. It’s really better to get that convo out the way than put yourself through all this stress and ultimately pain too!!xxx

Imhereforthecake · 29/10/2021 07:54

@unknownscot I work in nhs too and 12 hour shifts, so I feel your pain!
I told my manager and she's been really helpful. It's hard because the first 12 weeks where we tend not to tell people are really difficult and that's when support is needed. Thanks

unknownscot · 29/10/2021 08:16

Thanks guys. My managers and some of the team know.
I have my risk assessment meeting today so maybe something will come from that regarding splitting my days so I'm not 12h back to back days.

I was in bed at 8pm last night after a 9-5 yesterday. 😂

CurryandSnuggle · 29/10/2021 08:30

Good luck with your risk assessment. Hope your shifts go better than you think Flowers I really feel for you!!

pregnancydiaries · 29/10/2021 10:19

Good luck at your risk assessment @unknownscot be honest about your worries and put your foot down!!xx

PeeAche · 29/10/2021 10:32

I have always been the most irritating type of person in the mornings. Up with the lark, and have completed most of my chores before I even have to start work. I usually wake up naturally at about 6am and it's my most energetic time of day. I've also never bothered having an alarm unless I have to catch a flight or something.

....

This morning I overslept for the first time in my life. I woke up at 9.12am. 12 minutes late for a meeting.

Can I blame this on pregnancy? 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

CurryandSnuggle · 29/10/2021 11:06

Lol probably @PeeAche I’d start setting an alarm if I were you! Pregnancy is exhausting!!! Grin

OP posts:
pregnancydiaries · 29/10/2021 11:24

Absolutely @PeeAche and I’d take it as a good sign too!!!!xx

PeeAche · 29/10/2021 11:26

It is exhausting 😪

Also, is anyone else experiencing really vivid dreams?

rathernotshare · 29/10/2021 12:08

Just had my first scan, baby is fine and measuring 8+1 Smile bit overshadowed by the finding of a 10x10cm cyst on my ovary! Has anyone else had this? She said it's no harm to the baby but I need to go the the GP urgently and I'm so scared

PeeAche · 29/10/2021 12:16

Don't be scared @rathernotshare I'm sure it's going to be something GP has seen many times before.

Congratulations on your scan! ❤️

Wellthiswasunexpected · 29/10/2021 12:27

@rathernotshare congratulations!!! I had exactly this identified yesterday myself. Midwife said if it was bigger she’d bring me in more often for monitoring but all good unless I get sudden pain in the area.

Tofu35 · 29/10/2021 12:30

An exciting day for me today gang- first day in two weeks that I've not been constipated 🥳 happy Friday everyone!
