@PeeAche I’m 7+4 according to LMP but measured 7+6 this morning.

Didn’t opt for an early scan deliberately/consciously, it was just offered as the first “viability check” where I’m currently living (outside of the UK) so at the time it was booked I thought that was standard practice.

TTCjourney2021 · 28/10/2021 13:08

I don't go for mine on purpose either! It was recommended to check it was in the right place and not another ectopic I didn't want to risk losing another tube and/or ovary

HWka · 28/10/2021 13:38

I’ve got my 12 week scan through, 6th December! I’m definitely going to book a private scan mid November to help my anxiety.

MrsNT · 28/10/2021 13:42

@momtobe2022 congrats hun and welcome to the forum..
Yes its very normal to feel this way as everything is hidden away ..
Just try to stay calm and positive and do what you feel is best

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 13:43

@ttcjourney2021 Not much. Small sack and a hint of yolk, hence she thought it was likely week 4/5. My Monday scan showed nothing at all.

DaimDillyDoo · 28/10/2021 14:10

@pregnancydiaries congrats on your pregnancy. Another HG sufferer here but I have been much better this pregnancy.

It's truly awful! I take 3 x Cyclizine a day and 4 other tablets a day, it's working for now. Thanks

pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 14:38

@DaimDillyDoo hello from one HG sufferer to another and congratulations on your pregnancy! This is my first time experiencing it so nothing much to compare it to but omg it’s constant. I’ve been extremely paranoid this pregnancy and only drinking water/sparkling water but joined the HG thread on here and looks like drinking some sprite etc is ok, and I’m now managing to keep that down. Have been started on stemetil in the first instance so will see how that goes, so far not great 😂 xxx

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 14:39

@pregnancydiaries I have just been diagnosed with HG too. It's very difficult to even keep water down. I'm tired and tearful. But hopeful that this is a good sign because I had no sickness whatsoever with my previous pregnancies (losses)

rathernotshare · 28/10/2021 15:12

The only thing I actually fancy is a Brie panini. Alcohol I can quit no problem, but Brie?! 😩

DaimDillyDoo · 28/10/2021 15:23

@pregnancydiaries this is my 3rd HG pregnancy and I've learnt to manage it so much better. Drink and eat whatever you can manage. Some days I barely eat anything and all I've managed to drink is sparkling flavoured water. Last time I was hospitalised from 5 weeks and was vomiting about 25 times a day.

How long have you been on your meds? Are they helping? HG is the work of the devil. Please feel free to reach out if you need too.

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 15:23

My dear @rathernotshare you can eat Brie if it is steaming hot. So get that panini maker fired up!

Question: can I also eat wine if it is steaming hot?

Just a joke.

pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 15:37

Hi @PeeAche, I am the same and also pregnant after losses so I understand completely the worry you are going through. The sickness really is a positive though. I ended up in hospital yesterday with the HG and everyone kept saying it was a good sign and right enough this morning I was scanned and we saw a little heartbeat. Fingers crossed for you. There is a good thread on here too I’ll find the link for you with some tips x

@DaimDillyDoo 3rd round of HG I don’t know how you do it!!! I’ve only been on the medication since last night. I ended up in hospital yesterday and was given an injection and then today onto the oral meds so fingers crossed they kick in soon xxx

HWka · 28/10/2021 15:41

@rathernotshare omg I would kill for a Brie and bacon panini right now 😋

MrsNT · 28/10/2021 15:44

Everything is annoying me today..had a horrible phone call with a door company as they had the most rubbish customer service..then everyome at work is driving me nuts..not sure if its them or my hormones lol..

Congratulations new joiners and everyone who has had scans, feels like such a long way off for me! I haven't had sickness or fatigue yet (sorry those of you with HG, sounds so tough) but my boobs have been so sore and I have stretch marks on one boob already!?!? Is this possible!? Anyone else's boobs grown enough to leave a stretch mark already? I'm only 6+5!

Also really fancying cheese, gorgonzola to be specific, is it the same rule - okay if cooked?

Sending you all the positive thoughts @RoseValleyRambles, it's weird how nice it can be to think that a bunch of technically strangers are going through all of this and thinking of each other!! Echo @PeeAche sentimentality, this is such a lovely group!

pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 17:28

For those of you also suffering with HG this page is really helpful. If you look for a comment on p31 from Lucinda it is super helpful xx

Unarosaes · 28/10/2021 17:37

It is true what they say that symptoms can come back with a vengeance. I had a silly panicky day yesterday because I was feeling really well. The Universe has paid me back with non-stop nauseous feeling all bloody day. I feel for all of you suffering with HG. I hope it doesn't last too long for you!

@MrsNT I'm sure it's all them and our hormones have nothing to do with it!

@AlbatrossSociety I am not sure if it's the same rule with blue cheeses. I have been applying the same rule, but I have to admit that I have been a little bit lenient with food restrictions when it comes to cheese....

MadamMaltesers · 28/10/2021 17:55

DaimDillyDoo · 28/10/2021 18:29

@MadamMaltesers oh please don't assume the worst! I didn't get any symptoms until about 6 weeks 5 days. Had a scan which showed a baby with a healthy heartbeat at 7+2 x

@MadamMaltesers I agree with @DaimDillyDoo please don't count yourselves out yet! I didn't get any symptoms with my first pregnancy until almost 7 weeks and then just mild nausea and my son was perfect

Stargazer89 · 28/10/2021 19:35
