Welcome @AnyaC84 and @restingbface and congratulations!

Brightsmoke · 28/10/2021 08:49

Has anyone had a headache as a pregnancy symptom before? I'm on day 2 of a tension headache, and I've googled it and it's normal apparently, I've just never heard of it before!

I'm with you with the spots, my skin is awful suddenly. When does the towing start? 😂

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 09:10

Welcome @AnyaC84 and @restingbface

Congrats on your BFPs!

@rathernotshare I am struggling with this too and I have just been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. Sparkling, sugar free, (alcohol free) ginger beer is good. Tiny sips every few minutes.

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:09

Scan update: we have baby! We also have a flock of fibroids. Anyone got any part experience of these during pregnancy?

Baby is small but in right place. Given my bleeding, she said it's not a dead cert yet: but it's a very good start. Back in a week and a half to see how it's going.

Prema112 · 28/10/2021 10:15

@RoseValleyRambles Woohooo!! So pleased to hear your wonderful news!! Praying baby continues to grow and develop beautifully!

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 10:22

So happy for you @RoseValleyRambles !

How far along are you?

Unarosaes · 28/10/2021 10:24

@RoseValleyRambles so great to hear you got to see your baby. I hope they continue to grow and you can see them again soon :)

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:25

Thanks guys. Still very small: 4 or 5 weeks. I think 5 based on dates. So early days yet.

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:26

Thanks @Prema112 - prayers massively appreciated.

Sunflowers81 · 28/10/2021 10:30

@RoseValleyRambles congratulations on seeing the baby!

I have a large fibroid, 5.5cm, in the uterine wall, so they have said it's not a problem. Do you know where yours are?

i123i · 28/10/2021 10:30

Great to hear @RoseValleyRambles. Praying for you and baby too 🙏🏻

MrsNT · 28/10/2021 10:40

Congrats @RoseValleyRambles ..how many weeks are you

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:43

@sunflowers81 in the wall and outside the outside, which I think are both preferable to inside the uterus. They're slightly larger than yours. Consultant didn't seem too worried and said they're very normal, but because I have a few they'll just want to keep tabs. Sounds like it'll be more of a third trimester thing if I get that far.

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:43

@mrsnt prob about 5 weeks. Still early days :)

RoseValleyRambles · 28/10/2021 10:45

So lovely getting all your messages guys - thank you. I don't want to tell anyone until we (hopefully) get to 12 weeks given it all feels a little rocky, so it's lovely to have folks to share with.

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 11:05

I am chomping at the bit for my early scan. Two weeks to go.

Unarosaes · 28/10/2021 11:07

@PeeAche I feel you! I have a scan tomorrow and I swear this week has been the looooooooooongest. How far along will you be at your early scan?

TTCjourney2021 · 28/10/2021 11:09

@RoseValleyRambles what did you see today being 5 weeks? Congrats glad everything went well

rathernotshare · 28/10/2021 11:28

Also scanning tomorrow! At 8+0. Fairly confident on my dates as we were tracking ovulation

Wellthiswasunexpected · 28/10/2021 11:35

@Unarosaes thanks for the good luck ❤️
@RoseValleyRambles yay so happy for you!!! Congratulations!

Just came back from our scan, saw a heartbeat and measuring at 7+6 :)

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 11:49

@Unarosaes I'll be somewhere between 8 and 9 weeks. My cycle has always been fairly irregular, so it's hard to be sure until I'm dated.

This is partly why I've left it later (instead of going at 6-7 weeks). Also, because it limits the time between my early scan and my NHS 12 week scan. I know if I went now, the reassurance would only last a day for me and then I'd be back to pacing the floor and pulling out my hair with anxiety.

If I wait until after 8 weeks, and a heartbeat is found, my risk of miscarriage would be low enough then that I might relax a bit more.

(I've lost 2 pregnancies at 6 and 7 weeks. This week is danger-zone week and I'm feeling pretty wound up.)

PeeAche · 28/10/2021 11:50

For all you scan ladies, please let me know:

How close are you measuring at scan to your presumed dates? How close are you in actuality to what was estimated based on LMP?

pregnancydiaries · 28/10/2021 12:15

Hi ladies,

I really should be introducing myself as number one stalker given I have been watching this thread for a month now, but after 1 MC and 1 MMC this year I couldn’t bring myself to join until after our first scan.

First of all my deepest wishes to all those who are going through the uncertain phase right now, I have been there with the empty sacs and wish there was some way to take it all away for you. My only advice would be to be kind to yourself and to keep on going, one day it has to work out for us all and we will all be better mummy’s for it xxx

Today I had my first reassurance scan with the NHS after some previous complications and measured 6+2 with a heartbeat. Lots and lots of tears as this is the furthest we’ve made it this year. It’s so hard to relax and I’m already worrying about getting through the next 6 weeks but trying to take a bit of my own advice!!

I ended up in hospital yesterday and have been diagnosed with Hyperemisis - wondering if anyone else has experience of this? I’ve been given stemetil to take but of course am full of paranoia.

Love to you all, xxx

Pandamama88 · 28/10/2021 12:24

@PeeAche I was bang on 8 weeks at scan and based on LMP

Unarosaes · 28/10/2021 12:57

@PeeAche I am very curious about the dates everyone is going for their early scans. I've been reading about the 8 week statistic, so it sounds like the best approach to wait a bit longer. I hope these two weeks don't drag on too much.
