Good luck for your scan too TTCjourney2021 (& to everyone with scan tomorrow). Yes, I've been to my mum's today, and could barely eat lunch as it was so painful. Hopi g this is a positive sign, as much as it doesn't my feel positive at the moment!

rathernotshare · 26/10/2021 20:06

Does anyone find when they move too quick they get cramps? Sometimes I sit with my knees up towards my chest, then I go to stand up and it's agony for a few seconds! Like tearing a muscle if you move too quickly

Prema112 · 26/10/2021 20:15

@GingerBrummie I haven't taken anything for the sickness as I find it's weirdly reassuring and I'd start panicking if it got better! So silly to want to feel ill. I only starting feeling sick at 6 weeks though. I'm 9 weeks tmw and I've had 2 scans already as I've had some spotting. My next scan is at 10 weeks to check on a bleed they saw on the last scan. Can't wait to be out of the 1st trimester, it's been the longest few weeks of my life I think. I had a twin MMC 3 years ago so I'm quite paranoid

Clomid1 · 26/10/2021 20:15

Without an early scan (which I really don’t want to do unless I bleed or am in immense pain) i am sitting here wondering about all the possibilities. Is it possible to get all the way to a 12 week scan without bleeding or major cramps to find you had an ectopic, a missed miscarriage or a blighted ovum or anything else really.

rathernotshare · 26/10/2021 20:31

@Clomid1 I think you would know about an ectopic or blighted ovum before 12 weeks, I'm not a doctor though! Missed miscarriage scares me but they're quite uncommon

Seabreeze2 · 26/10/2021 20:36

I’m getting horrible digestive issues too, burning in my upper stomach. Anything could help this? Gaviscon/Rennies?

@Clomid1 I’ve been wondering this too as I’m also putting off an early scan. After looking at good old google, I guess it would be very unlikely and unlucky for that to happen, but it’s not completely impossible. Not the most helpful I know but try and think positively that it would be very unlikely :) x

Dogmum5 · 26/10/2021 20:43

@rathernotshare im with you on the moving to quick. But its mostly when im lying down and turning over in bed. Which means I wake up a lot during the night.

MrsNT · 26/10/2021 20:50

Does anyone feel like they will be sick by just looking at certain foods.?

MrsNT · 26/10/2021 20:52

@equimum i dont have a lot of symptoms. Some days i have cramping..some days i have zero cramping. But 2 3 nights in a row afterr dinner have had heartburn

Wellthiswasunexpected · 26/10/2021 20:53

@MrsNT So I think maybe the beginnings of nausea have kicked in because yes, I had this today. Once because I literally thought about popcorn and started gagging, later my husband dropped pasta into boiling water and for some reason the look and sound of it sent me gagging again. Noooo idea what is going on!

CurryandSnuggle · 26/10/2021 20:59

@MrsNT yes this is me!! Some things the smell sets me off (BBQ beef hula hoops had me retching the other day), sometimes it’s the mere thought of certain food (basically anything that’s not plain/basic right now), and sometimes looking at it as well. I’m just all over struggling for things to eat as I can’t even think about them, let alone look and smell them lol. It’s quite miserable isn’t it?! Sad this will pass soon I hope. Thought I was coming through the other side as I had 2 days minimal nausea, but came back with a vengeance yesterday, almost vomited just after I sprayed my deodorant. It smells nice so no idea what that’s about! Confused

Clomid1 try not to drive yourself crazy with these thoughts. It is unusual that any of those are detected as late as the 12 weeks scan. I had a MMC detected at the 12 week scan, and have only known one other person say that they had the same experience (& I have two older children, so have sat through lots of toddler etc where everywhere has retold their horror stories). I think ectopic are usually detected by 8 weeks. My GP said last week that he thought I would have a lot more symptoms if that was what was wrong with me (at 8ish weeks), so that's highly unlikely too. Honestly, the vast majority of people who get there have a great 12 weeks scans, so do try to relax.

Is the pain quite low down rathernotshare. I was told that was round ligament pain if it strikes with sudden or fast movement.

I believe Gavisvon tends to be prescribed Seabreeze2.

Yes, until today mine has been worst in the evening MrsNT.

MrsNT · 26/10/2021 21:19

@Wellthiswasunexpected ur username goes with ur post today 😂

MrsNT · 26/10/2021 21:20

@Wellthiswasunexpected Btw i love popcorn. Anyone watching t20 cricket worldcup lately? I like having popcorn with it

AlbatrossSociety · 26/10/2021 21:25

I'm really craving popcorn now!!

I walked past frozen scallops in the supermarket the other day and retched!

Wellthiswasunexpected · 26/10/2021 21:27

Hahahaha you’re right it does!

I love popcorn too I literally ate a giant pack of it to myself yesterday but for some reason the thought of it today was pure 🤮😂

Unarosaes · 26/10/2021 21:30

@Equimum I also have horrible heartburn after lunch every day. My nausea is super random and not very frequent, but I can rely on the nasty heartburn to make an appearance...

I am terrified of a MMC. I spent some time reading about them when I should have been working and yeah, it seems like they are very rare. So trying to stick to positive thoughts only! Everything is fine until I'm told otherwise 💪

Equimum · 26/10/2021 21:55

Unarosaes When I had a MMC, I got asked so many times whether I was absolutely sure I hadn't had any pain or bleeding, that I came to the conclusion that even for medical professions, true MMC at 12 weeks are retry unusual. Try to relax. Easier said than done, I know, but the chances really are minuscule.

TTCjourney2021 · 26/10/2021 23:07

Well it's bed time for me!! So That means I have officially made it past my milestone of 6+1! And it's scan day tomorrow!! Hoping I can jump on here with positive news!
Hope every bodies doing okay!! X

I had a mmc that was found at about 9 weeks although the baby had died a couple of weeks before, I had a little bleed and so went in for a scan, similar to what others said, the nurses kept asking me about bleeds and seemed surprised I had not had more bleeding so think it is uncommon to get to 12 weeks without anything.

I know it's so much easier said than done, but I have a wee talk with myself every time I feel anxious.

For now I am pregnant and all I know is that I have a healthy baby.

I hope your anxiety settles. Have you told people your pregnant? If not, perhaps telling someone close to you to share your anxieties with would be good.
