Hi, Hoping it's okay to join. Have read all of the first thread and the new posts on this one from the sidelines and thought it was time to actually contribute something myself!

First pregnancy, late 20's.

According to NHS website would be due 17th June, so am 6 weeks now. Feeling sick on a daily basis and have had cramps on and off today too.

Have self referred last week to maternity unit, is it worth having an early private scan rather than waiting?!

Not great news here. Empty sac at the moment, which the doc just thought meant it was too early... but that doesn't match with my dates at all when I think I'm at least 6 weeks. Had bloods today and need to rescan in 10 days but gut instinct says I'm out xx

Welcome @PlodandPod 😁💕. Your around the same as me, my due date is 16th June. I self referred today. I had no symptoms yesterday but they’re well and truly back today lol, just feeling very sick haven’t actually been sick. Food choices are quite difficult 😞.

I was debating whether to have an early scan too, but think now I’m just going to wait for the 12 week and trust nature will do it’s thing.

5 weeks today and can relate to so many of what you guys are saying regarding the anxiety, especially @PeeAche

My last cycle was a miscarriage and I just feel like this isn't even real (despite 10+ really strong positives 🤣), like I'm actually worried ill go for my first scan and they'll be like errr hun why you even here you aren't pg 😅
Genuinely at the stage where I'm just wishing every day to be over so that I'm another day closer to the safety zone... what a sad existence 🤦🏼‍♀️

Early scans are a personal preference. After 2 losses, I have decided that I shall but I'm waiting to the 8 or 9 week mark - that will be further than I've ever made it, if I make it. Which is the thought behind my own choice.

I think if I had no history of miscarriages, I would just wait until 12 weeks. But that's largely because I hate medical appointments!

@jadeypies you sound so much like me 🤣 also thinking they're gonna be saying ermm why you even here hahaha! Glad to know I'm not alone

The older I get, the faster time goes. Until I got pregnant. Now life is moving at a snail's pace and I'm wishing it away.

I've been meditating. It's hard. Thinking no thoughts is really hard!

Hi everyone! Alison, 31 from Manchester. Currently 5+3 and due 20th June. Feeling a little anxious after a mmc in December when I was 7 weeks. Booked in for an early scan next Wendesday to hopefully put our minds at rest!

Feeling very bloated and my boobs are so sore and I've been getting some headaches. No nausea yet, kinda hoping it stays that way

Has anyone else got cramping? It's not extreme so not thinking the worst but sort of like light period cramping. Had it on and off yesterday combined with nausea. Can deal with the nausea but hate the cramping as it makes me anxious 😥

@imhereforthecake I'm just hoping my nausea stops by then! Not getting my scan until 12 or so weeks, so days are long and filled with lying on the couch eating dry crackers 😂

Also, who knows why, we are maybe looking to move house. We were meant to move last year but covid put a stop to that! Would be good to live closer to family (currently over an hour away from my mum). But first trimester house viewings? It must be hormones driving this terrible decision!

Hi everyone, can I join?
7 weeks today. I had a scan yesterday as I'd been having spotting and cramping so they wanted to rule out an ectopic but all was fine. Got to see the little heartbeat 😍.
Does anyone have a date for their booking appt yet?

@Plodandpod yes I have been feeling some cramping I don't like it!

Yesterday I was so upset and sensitive, which is really unlike me, ended up in a ball in bed.

I am so tempted by an early scan for the same reason some of you have described, I wonder if I am pregnant at all! Even though I have been getting positive tests every morning for nearly a week now.

@PlodandPod - yes also getting occasional mild cramping. I think it’s quite normal.

@hellointhere - me too! Apart from mild cramping I haven’t had many symptoms yet (otherwise than lots of BFPs over the past 5 days or so, as I’m only 4w+2), so I just want some outside confirmation 😂

@Imhereforthecake - time is passing sooooo slowly before my first ante natal appointment! Work helps but I’m struggling to concentrate at the moment. And I’m trying to keep busy/in a normal routine with gym classes, seeing friends etc, but it’s still always on my mine!!! I think I will try meditation.

I've woken up this morning feeling really glum, and just convinced somethings going wrong but I have no reasons to even think like this! So im sat here trying my best to switch it to positivity!

Aside from my successful pregnancy 8 years ago, the furthest I have gotten so far is 6 weeks, which is in 2 days time, so im putting my anxiety down to that! My EPU phoned me yesterday and I have a reassurance scan booked in for wednesday! So I think I need to put the digital tests down!! And wait till then and be positive and hopeful that this pregnancy is the one ❤️🤞

Has anybody suffered from thrush yet?
I'm 7/8 weeks - got my midwife Booking appt early next week so planning on asking her about it then but wondering if we can just use any over the counter thrush creams in the meantime?

I never had this in my 1st pregnancy but it's getting quite sore/itchy down there 😳 I'm assuming it is thrush!
