Hi ladies I have just got my BFP after ttc for a year. I'm 34 and it's my first pregnancy. I just thought I'd start a thread for anybody who has also just got a BFP. I'm excited but also terrified that something will go wrong! How are we all feeling?

Congrats @NinjaBreadMan and @Lovebug06

@ConfusedNewbie21 There's defo a faint line on that! You may be super early if you're unsure of your cycle. Keep testing every few days, fingers crossed the line gets darker Smile

Bluepop09 · 04/09/2021 18:39

Oops sorry I meant to tag @Mummymagic25 there, this gets confusing haha. Congrats Grin

Mummymagic25 · 04/09/2021 19:20

@bluepop hi I'm so confused by this myself😂how are you feeling today I've been having alot of stretchy type pains so hopefully they ease😊

Mummymagic25 · 04/09/2021 19:21

@bluepop09 sorry about that my head's all over the place🤪

Lovebug06 · 04/09/2021 20:49

Thanks everyone.

I guess it's just a bit of an anxious time until the scan. When you struggle to concieve you just expect the relief and excitement when it finally happens!
Which of course I am, I just want the next 4 weeks to hurry! My friend said it flies by but I think it's going so slow 😂 xx

Bluepop09 · 04/09/2021 21:11

I think it's going slow too! I haven't been getting the crampy pains this week but weeks 4 and 5 up until I came into the 6th week they were every day. I still don't 'feel' pregnant. Apart from the sore boobs and slight nausea. Had a hot curry tonight and regretting it now imagining how the sick would taste if I throw up for the first time tomorrow GrinEnvy

junglejane56 · 04/09/2021 21:14

Anyone else ridiculously tired? I'm 6 weeks and so so exhausted. I'm sleeping well but I just wake up feeling knackered. I hope this subsides soon because I'm struggling to get anything done! Also been quite nauseas this week.

wellitywell · 04/09/2021 23:52

Aaah so glad I found this thread! Really helpful to see what everyone's going through.
I'm 35 and this is my first, I reckon I'm about 5 weeks...
I have no symptoms - I'm maybe a little bit bloated but honestly if I didn't know I was pregnant I would probably never have noticed.
Slightly in denial, and almost a bit worried about how this is going to change our lives forever. I'm very active and outdoorsy and I hate the idea of not being able to do certain things while I'm pregnant (I went mountain biking last week... whoops) is this normal? I mean, this was intentional- we have been trying for a few months, but I think I'm like "oh shit, now it's real"
Hope everyone's doing ok xxx

wellitywell · 04/09/2021 23:56

God, sorry, that post makes me sound really selfish doesn't it? I am excited, I think I'm just a bit overwhelmed.
Also I'm trying not to get too carried away just incase.
Big love everyone
Xxxx

junglejane56 · 05/09/2021 00:04

@wellitywell I totally understand that. I'm a bit the same. I already have a ds but he's older and pretty independent so I'm kind of nervous about going back to being totally responsible for a tiny human. My ds also spends EOW at his dads so we've been used to having loads of free adult time which we will no longer get. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit sad for the things we'll miss, it's totally natural. But kids bring so much joy and happiness that any changes will feel totally worthwhile. And you have to remember that they don't stay tiny forever. Pretty soon you'll be able to pick up your hobbies and even include your kids in some of them.

@NinjaBreadMan - thank you! That sounds just the ticket.
@junglejane56 - ahh ok, glad I'm not the only one worried. Thank you too xx

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 13:20

How's everyone doing today? I feel so sick. Haven't been sick but it's that constant feeling, like it needs to come out.

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 13:22

Congrats @wellitywell it does feel a bit weird when it's sinking in, it's natural to be a bit like 'shit, this is happening'. When the baby's here I'm sure it will be like they always have been and like pp said they'll be joining in with your outdoor adventures Grin

wannabeamummysobad · 06/09/2021 13:34

@Bluepop09 I cycle through waves of nausea which catch me off guard. Other than that weeing constantly with intermittent cramping and irritability. Annoyingly my excema is flaring up- GP
says is normal but I hope I can get it under control.
No spotting.
Will be 7 weeks on Friday!

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 14:01

@wannabeamummysobad Oh no, hopefully it eases up for you. We're about the same, I'll be 7 weeks on Thursday Smile

candyfloss18 · 06/09/2021 14:17

@Bluepop09 I'm feeling so nauseous too I'm ok when I first wake up then around dinner time it hits me and lasts the rest of the day , not actually being sick but the constant feeling I'm about too, trying to keep my toddler busy too while I'm feeling so tired is hard

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 14:35

@candyfloss18 Tell me about it, I feel like I could lay in bed all day at this moment in time. It's the same for me, I'm fine after waking up then the sickness hits at lunch time and lasts all day.

Flamingogirl08 · 06/09/2021 14:53

Yeah same for me. I have found ritz crackers are quite good for the nausea. I've just eaten some for lunch 😁

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 15:03

@Flamingogirl08 I can't stand ritz but do love cream crackers so might have to give them a go and see if they do the trick

grannybee55 · 06/09/2021 15:19

I'm so tired and so nauseas this week. Really struggling to focus on anything Sad

Ruibies · 06/09/2021 17:14

Hi everyone! Sorry to hear so many are struggling with nausea - none of that for me yet (but I am still only just 4 weeks) all I've had so far are really achey boobs. Just filled out my self referral for the first appointment and should hear back from them within 2 weeks. Time is moving SO slowly haha. Hope the nausea passes relatively quickly for those of you deep in it now!

Bluepop09 · 06/09/2021 21:16

Thanks @Ruibies and congrats

@ConfusedNewbie21 How you getting on? Have you taken another test yet?

wellitywell · 06/09/2021 22:27

Thanks @Bluepop09 - I can't wait to teach "the cells" (baby's current nickname) to do all the stuff we love. How early is too early for wild camping? Grin sorry you're feeling so nauseous- hope it goes away.

Anyone got any app recommendations or email sign ups? I've got Ovia... I'm just trying to work out when I need to do certain things! I have at least got my booking appointment sorted now

ConfusedNewbie21 · 07/09/2021 12:17

@Bluepop09 thank you so much for asking. I don't think it's looking good 😞 despite some positive tests I have been bleeding lightly ever since Friday so it's looking as though it's a BFN for me. So confusing and hard to deal with the roller coaster of emotions
