@Wiltshire90 so you're the earliest on this thread then I think. I'm due 29th Nov! Although my first was a week early!

Interesting how USA trimester differs from UK!

PeanuttyButter · 25/05/2021 08:53

Hi all, I'm 9+2 and had my booking in appointment yesterday. Midwife changed my EDD to 27th when all the things I've put my dates in say 23rd but I'm sure we will find out soon enough with the 12 weeks scan.
Got a private scan booked tomorrow will be the first scan I've had. Getting nervous now

1ce1cebaby · 25/05/2021 09:51

Hi All - I’ve been reading from the start of thread 1 but MC last year had me too nervous to post incase I jinxed it - mad how the mind works. It’s great seeing how everyone is progressing and similarities. Had my 12 week scan yday and measuring ahead at 13+4 now. Calculator originally had me at 12+6 and early scan 13+1. My symptoms were really bad up to around 9.5 weeks - sickness constant nausea but have subsided since (which had me worried) so feeling better from then. Still a bit drained but def more energy. Still some food aversions. I was due my second vaccine at 6 weeks but postponed and will book it again now. This will be baby #2 - DS will be 2 in August. My booking in was done with my scan. Scan, bloods, height and weight and then a phone call on the way home to go through the booking in. Think it will be a phone call again at 16ish weeks to discuss bloods (just the general ones) and arrange pick up of folder.
I’m sorry to anyone that has suffered a loss - it’s so unfair and hope you are all well.

Elm98 · 25/05/2021 09:53

Hi everyone,
I can’t keep up with these threads they move so quickly!
Had our private 8 (and however many days) week scan on Friday and little bean was measuring exactly as they should and we got to hear the heartbeat which was lovely. (I will attach scan picture) I am officially 9 weeks today!

We also had midwife booking appt and she was lovely.

Recently had some pulling/pain when I get up too quickly on my left side towards my groin and assumed it was early round ligament pain but this morning it has hit with a vengeance, I actually got up from the toilet (finally pooping tmi) and the pain took my breath away, it’s like a sharp pulling pain from my groin to my vaginal wall. It’s fine when I’m sat down but only feel it when I stand up again.

Has anyone else had this? I don’t know whether to be worried or I’m just being an overworrier.

Hope everyone is doing well and loved seeing some scan pictures!

Welcome @PeanuttyButter and good luck for your scan tomorrow :)

@1ce1cebaby welcome and sorry to hear of your previous loss. If you are 13+4 does that make your due date 26th Nov? :) My son will also be 2 in August :) were you on the August 2019 threads?!

@elm98 that's great, nice scan. Yes I have definitely had those sharp pains in groin as you describe. All the fun of pregnancy!

Wiltshire90 · 25/05/2021 11:42

@Horehound I was certain of my dates too because of Fertility Friend and Clear Blue digital ovulation tests so I was surprised at the dating!

@Elm98 yes I've had lots of that sort of pain!

1ce1cebaby · 25/05/2021 11:47

@Horehound yea due date 26th Nov - I thought 1st December but not complaining it’s earlier - but so far everything is so different this pregnancy so I could go overdue this time! I had seen that in previous posts and thought we were very similar. I wasn’t on the threads then - I don’t think I knew of mumsnet at that time. I had the Ovia app and only really used it. Not sure if there are better ones that I could use this time. This thread def looks like one of the busiest months and note another few December / Christmas ones too

Horehound · 25/05/2021 11:53

Yes there's quite a lot of us on here! Lots of babies coming in time Christmas hehe

I used to have some Baby+ app bit it doesn't seem to be working. I used to religiously use the apps with #1 but now I know what's coming on barely looking really lol

AnonymousXXIX · 25/05/2021 12:02

TMI - So the last two days I have really felt like throwing up... but when I try, nothing happens? Is this the case for anyone else? I do not throw up often in general, only e.g. when I have had severe food poisoning... but I have never spent so much time next to the toilet heaving but not actually being sick...

Moo37 · 25/05/2021 12:49

So after all my stressing over the weekend, I had an early scan today and all is perfect measurements are bang on what I thought ( well I had treatment so I knew😜) hope I can relax now. Today I seem to having a minimal nausea day so enjoying some raw fish free sushi .

gizmo167 · 25/05/2021 13:02

@AnonymousXXIX, yes hun, this is very much me, constant nausea wanting to be sick but heaving more than actual vomiting! I had one day I vomitted 4 times in one day but other than that just an occasional day when I actually am, mostly just heaving!!

1ce1cebaby · 25/05/2021 15:22

@AnonymousXXIX I spent a lot of time heaving - and knew I wouldn’t be sick so didn’t even need to go to the toilet - was disgusting. Did vomit sometimes too but think was just the nausea at it’s peak making me wretch.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 25/05/2021 15:31

Thanks for the tag!

@Sair44411 I'm so sorry. I hope you're doing as well as possible.

We video chatted my partners parents last night, they opened the parcel we sent, tiny little newborn socks and got it instantly 😊

That made me smile - we told the in-laws last night at 10+1, using baby shoes. They just looked confused Grin. It took a while for them to get it! Then lots of tears. I think they're happy.

I am bone tired today. I slept until 9:15 and now can't concentrate on work at all, and my head is sore. I have absolutely no idea why.

Two weeks today until my 12 week scan!

tuxedocat · 25/05/2021 19:46

So jealous of all the countdown to scans. The only thing I’m counting down to is my booking apt!

TreeRoad · 25/05/2021 19:48

Scan tomorrow afternoon, got the usual night-before nerves. No reason to believe anything is wrong but I’m sure many of you will know the feeling of “what if...”

Currently watching One Born Every Minute. Don’t ask me why I’m putting myself through this 😂

Cheekyrach89 · 25/05/2021 20:04

Hi everyone im new here! I’m due around 15th December. Dates are currently 10w 6d got my dating scan next Wednesday. Already have three boys at home and this is our final baby before hubby has the snip Grin

climbershell · 25/05/2021 20:29

@TakeYourFinalPosition yes partners parents got the newborn socks instantly, but my dad looked confused! Ha so passed him the next 'present', wrapped up scan and then the penny dropped 😂

9.5 days til my 12 week scan, can't wait! By Jove I'm shattered again too. Into bed v v soon!

flowersatthecastle · 25/05/2021 22:17

@TreeRoad did you watch baby surgeons delivering miracles on Channel 4?? My husband couldn't understand why I was doing it to myself but I can't get enough of one born and anything else with pregnancy / birth Confused

Horehound · 25/05/2021 22:44

@treeroad is it a new series?

Welcome @Cheekyrach89...are you hoping for a girl or is half a rugby team the dream?! Lol

Cheekyrach89 · 26/05/2021 06:24

@Horehound a little girl would be perfect now! Lol. Never dreamed of having 4 😂 2 was my number until I had my third then he was meant to be my last and hubby was meant to have the snip then we all got stuck in because of COVID haha.

Horehound · 26/05/2021 10:15

Hehe well my fingers are crossed for you getting a girl then :)

Horehound · 26/05/2021 10:17

To anyone who might be interested... I just download the NHS/red cross app Baby and child first aid app. Its quite good giving demonstrations and quick notes on what you should do if your baby or child needs first aid.
Could be handy and good to have as a back up.

MigMog · 26/05/2021 12:20

Dropping in again. 9+2. I've got my 12 week scan next week (hosp mixed up my dates then told me to keep it anyway). Also had my first covid jab today. So much relief!

I'm also feeling good today. So far. Almost like normal. But I think, the placenta takes over this week so I wonder if that's something to do with it.

Hopesandsunshines · 26/05/2021 12:54

Hii I just noticed the thread was closed. I have been missing you ladies. I am now 9 weeks 1 day time is flying! My MS has improved so much I was being sick 4 times a day and now it comes and goes, my boobs are still a bit sore, I have to admit I worry about this symptoms easing, I am experiencing cramps very similar to period pains, but no bleeding, I've read somewhere it is normal to have cramps at this point. Being pregnant triggered my asthma I haven't had an asthma attack since 2017 and yesterday I was in A&E until 3 am due to the asthma. I hope my baby and your babies are happy and growing healthy

Horehound · 26/05/2021 13:09

@MigMog if you were wanting the testing for downs, Edwards syndrome and the other one I don't think you'll be able to have that at your scan date being so early. I think it needs to happen between 12+14 weeks? So you may like to discuss that with your midwife just FYI.
