If you scroll back there’s a couple of people who are admin, as it’s a private group. X

Pineapple87 · 19/07/2021 13:28

Kinsters · 20/07/2021 02:19

Yeah you can message me with your name and what your profile pic looks like (maybe town as well if you have that info on FB cause it helps filter). Then I can add you in x

Had our 20 week scan today and it's team pink! 💖

Sparklestars86 · 20/07/2021 19:48

Lovely news @Babycakes39 staging a bit of a fight back for the girls! 💞
Is anyone else struggling with hip pain in this heat? I say in this heat as I feel it's only come on since it's been hot and didn't know of that was causing swelling or something. I've got a bit of a bump but nothing big- yet my right hip hurts and feels like it's going to collapse in on itself when I walk 😫 hurts to get up or turn over in bed too.
I was ready for this when Im dragging round a big bump but not for it to be here for the next 20 weeks! Any advice? Xx

2020mission · 20/07/2021 20:30

Congrats @Babycakes39! Our 12 week scan nub and skull looked like a girl to us but we'll see at the next scan 😅 but I might be joining team pink. I've still got a few weeks to wait until my 20 week scan.

Babycakes39 · 20/07/2021 20:45

@2020mission we kind of knew it was a girl as we paid for one of those companies to look at the 12 week scan! Nice to have it confirmed though! Can't wait to hear what everyone else is having! Xx

Em39ma · 20/07/2021 20:56

@Sparklestars86 I get awful hip pain in pregnancy but hasn’t kicked in yet.
Please tell your midwife, I got physio as soon as I told them last time.
Mines caused by 24 years of carrying children around on my left hip, it’s now 3 inches lower than the right.
The physio didn’t get rid of all the pain, but it did help ease it.

Sparklestars86 · 20/07/2021 21:09

@em39ma thank you. I'll give her a call and see what she says! Xx

Lindzers83 · 21/07/2021 05:48

Just for fun
The Chinese calendar is meant to be 96% accurate at predicting gender based on age and month you conceived. I'm predicted a girl but won't find out until Christmas

1ce1cebaby · 21/07/2021 09:50

I had looked at the calendar for my last and was predicted a girl - but had a boy. Predicted a girl again this time - will see! All the ‘old wives tales’ pointed to girl last time - heart rate, how I was carrying, cravings etc so I don’t pay much heed lol

Made a decision on my vaccine. Didn’t want to chance it in early pregnancy, especially with my allergies. Going tomorrow and will tell them my history and see how they want to proceed.

AnonymousXXIX · 23/07/2021 09:54

@Lindzers83 hehe my prediction was def wrong! We found out the sex yesterday and while DH is thrilled because it seems more real now, I think it's made me more stressed? I woke up at 5am and could't go back to sleep : o society is so gendered, and there's so much pressure from other people to behave in certain ways either way... Properly having a bit of a panic about it.

flowersatthecastle · 23/07/2021 11:49

@AnonymousXXIX can you share what you're having? Either way, just remember that regardless of their sex you will bring your child up to the best of your abilities and as you see fit to make them the happiest and kindest person they can be Smile they don't need to conform to gender stereotypes and the world is slowly becoming more accepting of that

AnonymousXXIX · 23/07/2021 11:59

@flowersatthecastle I know and I agree : ) I'm just very critical of the behaviour of others (family, teachers, television). It just comes with parenting and I need to let go, I am sure! But until yesterday it hadn't really sunk in yet I guess.

Sorry to be disappointing, but we're not telling anyone ; ) Very excited to get thinking about names though!

Hopesandsunshines · 23/07/2021 12:36

Hi, I'm 17 w 4 days. Having a girl, I've been having period pains since 6 am gp felt my tummy and made me cry when pressing just bellow the belly button. So I'm going for an internal examination, I'm worried about placental abruption. I have no bleeding but I know that does not mean everything is ok.

BrodieKD · 23/07/2021 14:07

Hello. Catching up from the first couple of threads. Good to see everyone keeping well. Can't believe that's us around half way mark already.

Anyone else not finding out what their having? We've decided to have a surprise but enjoying seeing what everyone else is having.

XandraB · 24/07/2021 06:11

Team girl for us too! We have two girls already so I have to confess I did have a pang of disappointment we won’t ever be having a boy (definitely stopping at baby no. 3) but baby is healthy and girls are obviously wonderful so we are excited ❤️

NightDreaming · 24/07/2021 08:15

@Hopesandsunshines how did it go at the examination? Thinking of you x

CityGirl182 · 24/07/2021 12:56

Hope you're all doing well ladies! I had my first day without cyclizine yesterday! Felt fairly sick all day but not like I was going to be sick so decided to power through and see what happened, and all good. We'll see what today brings...
Also had anomaly scan and all seems well and baby was super active during the scan, I'm feeling a lot of movements now, and had a couple of times when you can see a kick on the outside too, exciting :)

CityGirl182 · 24/07/2021 12:58

Also, has anyone else had their second Covid vaccine yet? I've got my second booked for three weeks time, which will be 10 weeks after first, but I've been offered to move it closer. Can't decide whether to shift it closer and just leave it...
Better long term immunity if you leave a bigger gap apparently, but I'm also paranoid about catching Covid before I've had both vaccines Confused

Sparklestars86 · 24/07/2021 13:06

@CityGirl182 mine is due for 21.7.21 which will be 12 weeks from the first. I got a text saying I could bring it forward.
I didn't know about the longer period between the 2 being better- that's interesting! I thought they'd pushed it to 12 weeks for the logistics of getting more people at least covered by their first dose.
Was going to bring it forward a bit- if nothing else to change to a more local venue as there are several now that weren't available when I first booked. Xx

Scarletpig1 · 24/07/2021 13:09

Not had my second yet but was told to expect it 8 weeks after my first. I'm just going to get it 8 weeks after the first so I'm better covered when pregnant

21.8.21 even- I'd have missed it otherwise! 🙈 Xx
