@HPmagic. I'm 14+4 and haven't put any weight on either. Lost 2 kg since +test. I'm sure I will start putting it on now that I'm feeling better.

I never out on much weight with my last two either and they were both healthy

Kinsters · 01/07/2021 02:35

I put on 2.5 stone with my daughter. Most of it went on between 20 and 30 weeks if I remember correctly.

Moo37 · 01/07/2021 18:19

Now I'm starting to stress out a bit.. after worrying about high fetal heart rate the other day, I now can find a heartbeat at all 😟

burtle4 · 01/07/2021 18:40

@Moo37 try not to panic, I tried to find mine last week after experiencing some spotting and it took aaaaages to find it, and when I finally did it was really really quiet. I actually just think he/she had moved position as it wasn't where I usually find it x

Moo37 · 01/07/2021 19:19

@burtle4 thanks. I'm trying to stay positive. I seem more stressed this time because of my age lol. Will give it a wee try again tomorrow after some sleep. Maybe it will move again

burtle4 · 01/07/2021 19:46

@Moo37 I'm older too and feeling a lot less calm about this pregnancy - mainly because if anything happens I don't think I'd have the time on my side or energy to try again! It feels like the last chance saloon (although I'm incredibly grateful to have the two we already have ❤) I definitely think just try again once it's had a chance to change position and try not to worry about it too much in the meantime - although I know a lot easier said than done!x

CityGirl182 · 01/07/2021 19:51

Hey ladies, haven't been on here in a while, think I'm finally feeling less sick! I'm still on cyclizine but feel like I could maybe reduce the dose soon, whereas until now I wouldn't consider it.

Anyone getting baby movements? I'm 17+5 and think I can sometimes feel baby but not sure yet...

CityGirl182 · 01/07/2021 19:55

@Sparklestars86 late to the party, but I've been getting really bad headaches too. I'm drinking gallons of water and occasionally paracetamol but trying not to take too much. I agree, not much fun.

XandraB · 01/07/2021 20:03

Probably is! I’m 17+5 today too and couldn’t work out if the movements were the baby (or gas!) but today I felt a definite kick. Nice to have the bit of reassurance as 20 week scan feels a while away yet x

Sparklestars86 · 01/07/2021 21:18

@CityGirl182 I had my 16wk midwife appt this morning and she said not to worry about being over restrictive with the paracetamol dose- can take the full 4 times a day as usual if needed. She also told me to ask GP for prescription of dihydrocodeine for days where it's really bad. Xx

CityGirl182 · 01/07/2021 21:32

@Sparklestars86 that's good to know, I'm going to mention it next time I see the midwife if they're still bad

AnonymousXXIX · 02/07/2021 20:53

Do any of you have experience buying pregnancy-related items second hand? I love the look of those bbhugme pillows, but the price is ridiculous. Same for possibly things like the Elvie pump. What are good websites to look for pre-loved items? I did have a browse on Gumtree, but not much there, and Ebay stresses me out.

Moo37 · 03/07/2021 16:48

If I was to feel baby move at 15 weeks. Where roughly woul I feel it ?

Em39ma · 03/07/2021 18:50

Is anyone else having to remember when to book their appointments in. Suddenly remembered yesterday that I didn’t have a 16 week appointment, fortunately phoned up and got one for next Saturday.
Was so much easier when they booked them in at the previous appointment.

AnonymousXXIX · 03/07/2021 19:22

@Em39ma oddly, I have a 16 week appointment with a Dr at the hospital, rather than midwife? Bit confused by this and wondering if I am meant to have a midwife appointment also, or if that's just how their letters work, or... (and they had originally forgotten to send me the letter, just happened to ask about it at my 12 week scan!)

Firstbornunicorn · 03/07/2021 20:23

@AnonymousXXIX is this your first? I have a 16 week consultant appointment and an 18 week midwife check.

AnonymousXXIX · 03/07/2021 20:42

Haha yes it is @firstbornunicorn.

Pineapple87 · 03/07/2021 20:53

I was just told as my 8 week check that I will get a call at 16 weeks.

Em39ma · 03/07/2021 21:13

My doctor appointment is September. I think they are just trying to confuse us all. They keep saying will be less appointments, but I’m high risk and normally you have a lot more.

Mayneedanextraroom · 03/07/2021 21:27

@Moo37 I have been feeling very slight movement very very low down, I’d say where I would feel period cramps low- if that helps? Mainly to one side. This is baby no.3 never felt movement early with my other two x

I had my 16 week appointment booked at my booking in appointment with my midwife and had it as 15+3. I have a consultant appointment booked for august but it’s just a telephone appointment (also classed high risk)

Cumspe · 04/07/2021 11:02

Hi all,

Been offline for a few weeks things have been pretty full on so the weeks have just gone.

Re appointments i am considered high risk with my twins and have appointments coming out of my ears for scans, with consultants and the midwife. They were all booked at my 16 week appointment.

I have been feeling movement for a few weeks which was surprisingly early for FTM. Mainly igher up on my left side which is twin 2 and twin 1 really low down like @Mayneedanextraroom.

Though finding with two not getting as much of second trimester energy I was expecting some days are good and others I am just wiped out. Perhaps I just had unrealistic expectations

Hope everyone is doing well

Hopesandsunshines · 04/07/2021 13:58

Hope you are all well, on my 12 week scan appointment I also had an appointment with the consultant who prescribed me a low dose of aspirin daily due to my risk of preclampsia because of my mom having it when pregnant with me, also I had the thrombophilia test done and I am currently waiting for the results. Fingers crossed it is all fine.

Kinsters · 04/07/2021 14:32
@Kinsters can I join Facebook group

I am obese anyway and trying not to gain too much as I did in my first pregnancy, so not pigging out like normal.
Did you get my message? Didn't want you to think I was ignoring you!

Hopesandsunshines · 05/07/2021 20:55

Hi, I just started wondering today how long should I be taking the folic acid for. I'm now 15 weeks should I stop taking it?

Babycakes39 · 05/07/2021 21:18

@Hopesandsunshines I think it's 12 weeks. That's when I stopped taking mine, but still taking the vitamin D.
