Hi all.
I know some people are against Doppler's, but was just wondering if any that have one have a high fetal heartbeat? Mine is averaging just above the 180 all I'm finding is that at 14-15 weeks it should be around 140 ? I'm not stressing too much just curious. I have midwife in two weeks so will have it confirmed then hopefully.

Em39ma · 29/06/2021 10:52

@hporter10 yep I’m the same. I’m not slim either, just show.

I quite like being big early because I haven't put anything on social media so when I see people and tell them it takes away that awkward "I thought you were just getting fat" issue XD

NightDreaming · 29/06/2021 11:10

Hello all 👋
Joining in late. I’ve been part of the Jan 2022 group as I had due date of 1/1/22. My dating scan last week brought me back a day to 31/12/21, plus I think with this one they’ll be wanting me to have a c-section so will probably be a week before that. Would absolutely love a NYE birthing day though! So will be fighting to stick to it.

How’s everyone doing with the move into 2nd trimester? I’m so relieved to not feel sick anymore. Also I already have 2 kids, we haven’t told them yet but think we will quite soon, I can’t wait!

Pineapple87 · 29/06/2021 15:06

Hi @NightDreaming,
I stopped being sick for 3 weeks and last week it started again I haven’t had much sickness but since I’ve been pregnant I feel sick all the time but only actually sick a few times a week.
Also those that were asking about weight gain, I’ve lost half a stone I actually went to the doctors Friday as found a lump under my Brest fir him to say that’s your rib haha!
Although bad news also he actually did find two lumps in my breast could just be pregnancy but I’ve been referred to hospital for a check.
Got a letter from hospital to say my baby is Rh positive :( it’s more dangerous with second baby I’m trying so hard not to worry but will deffo have anti D.

Theawkwardblonde · 29/06/2021 16:12

@Pineapple87 hope everything checks out okay 🤞🏻are you rhesus negative? My results said I was. I'm a FTM so not sure what to expect.

I've lost weight too, but I'm only 14 weeks and my bump looks huge! I'm not slim but not big either (quite muscley with huge boobs 🤦🏼‍♀️ awkward shape) but my bump looks massive.
I'm finding it odd bump looks this big, maybe I've popped early.

My sickness is still here unfortunately. Everyone keeps saying it'll stop but it's showing no sign of easing!

AnonymousXXIX · 29/06/2021 16:23

14 weeks and def still getting nausa; some days are better than others though. Some days it's morning nausea, some days evening, hard to work out what's going on... Heartburn has been a little better the last few days (knock wood). Def no bump here, just crazy bloating (I'm fairly skinny so I thought it might show faster? But nothing yet.)

Moo37 · 29/06/2021 16:43

I'm 14+3 with #3 and my belly is huge, but to be fair since lockdown and prosecco I looked a good 5 months before pregnancy. I definitely see it looking more round though. This time I only lost 2 kg, last two pregnancy I lost 7kg in each. Nausea easing now so hopefully it won't come back, although it has been replaced by headache's 🙈

Pineapple87 · 29/06/2021 16:45

@Theawkwardblonde yeah I’m Rh negative, it’s not too bad first pregnancy, but second a little more risky.

burtle4 · 29/06/2021 18:58

@Moo37 I actually just used my doppler about half an hour ago and measured it at around 156bpm. I'm 15+3 today. The old wives tale says girls have a higher heartrate than boys so maybe you're having a girl! I wouldn't worry about it, but like you said, maybe just ask the midwife when you next see her x

cutejeans · 29/06/2021 22:15

Has anyone felt movements yet? I'm only 14+4 but swear I've felt little flutters and 'pops' last night and tonight while laying down?! Am I going mad??

Yorkiepudd · 30/06/2021 01:57

Anyone still getting really bad morning sickness?

15 weeks 4 days and heard it was supposed to ease off in second trimester but it's not letting up and it's starting to really get me down and upset.

Had scans and baby seems to be doing well, low Papp-A which is being treated with aspirin and been given Phenergan by doctor but that only worked for a day before sickness came back again. Tried all different types of foods and drinks but nothing seems to be working.

Just wanted to know if it's unusual or if anyone else is struggling atm (wondering where the 'glow' my family promised is) , and if there was anything that people might not have been suggested?

Sparklestars86 · 30/06/2021 05:41

@Yorkiepudd my sickness has more or less subsided so no real advice I'm afraid but just commiserations as it's really miserable and I hope it eases for you soon. I was reading something that said by 20 weeks it's gone for almost everyone so hopefully your reprieve is just round the corner.
My sickness has been replaced with really bad headaches instead - which, trying to control with as limited amount of paracetamol as possible is no fun at all either 😫 xx

Sparklestars86 · 30/06/2021 05:45

Is anyone else getting really vivid dreams? I wake up feeling like I've actually lived through s lot of mine! Just to add to the general exhaustion! And the subject matter is really convincing but bizarre at the same time. Xx

Em39ma · 30/06/2021 06:52

@Yorkiepudd I have very severe HG. I’m now on stemetil and operzole and still get afternoon sickness. Phenergan only made me go to sleep, go back to the doctor there are others you can try. I tried4 different ones until we got mine right. Feeling sick just for a hour or 2 around 4 pm is better than getting sick up to 12 times a day like I was, I ended up throwing up blood which scared the life out of me.
Sorry to say I never get the glow as promised, I felt like this until my dd came out last time. But it instantly stops when they are out, it was like magic, I suddenly felt like me again. I was amazed it was so quick.

Scarletpig1 · 30/06/2021 08:05

@Sparklestars86 yes to the dreams. I dreamt I was James bonds assistant and we were on a mission the other night Grin

Can I ask about weight.

I am currently 14+5 and baby is healthy however I have not put any weight on yet. Is this normal and what is everyone else's looking like at their stage.

AnonymousXXIX · 30/06/2021 10:23

@HPmagic I wouldn't worry. I am 14 weeks and have not gained any weight yet. Well, 1 pound... but that's due to needing to eat more frequently and being able to exercise way less.. and I was a little bit on the low bmi side to begin with so in my case a few extra pounds right now would probably be healthy. I think baby is the size of an avocado or something right now so while there's lots of ways in which pregnancy can make you gain weight I don't think the baby is one of them yet!

Kinsters · 30/06/2021 10:26

I've put on 1kg or something. I think it's normal to not necessarily gain much at this stage.

If anyone wants to join the FB group let me know x

Scarletpig1 · 30/06/2021 10:30

I'm 15+5 and have put on 2.5 pounds. Last pregnancy I'd put on about 10 pounds by this stage but total weight gain then was 4 stone by the end. Trying not to use pregnancy as an excuse for a pig out this time as I did eat A LOT last time

OP posts:
HPmagic · 30/06/2021 10:53

@Kinsters can I join Facebook group

I am obese anyway and trying not to gain too much as I did in my first pregnancy, so not pigging out like normal.

I sent you a pm

Sparklestars86 · 30/06/2021 13:41

@Scarletpig1 none of mine have been as glamorous as James Bond themed so far! 🤣
I've put 1stone+ on but know that it is totally down to overreating not the baby at all🐷🐷- I don't have a bump to speak of yet or anything just generally a bit podgy all over where I used to be slim. I'm trying (but so far failing) to curb the eating but have at least taken up swimming to counteract it a little bit. Xx

Pineapple87 · 30/06/2021 15:07

I haven’t put on any I’ve actually lost half a stone I’m 15+2

Theawkwardblonde · 30/06/2021 16:31

@Yorkiepudd I'm 14+3 and still having horrific sickness, although mine starts late evening, all through night then morning.

@HPmagic I've not put on weight yet, actually lost. Baby is measuring fine. I suspect mine is down to sickness.
