@Lillygolightly excellent news!!
I've got to wait till Wednesday for my scan. People have twigged im pregnant (not drinking/massive bloat, moved roles at work due to my current role not being pregnancy friendly). I've already had 2 scans but the nerves are massively kicking in!

TakeYourFinalPosition · 11/06/2021 17:51

Congratulations @Lillygolightly! You are due the day after me. I hope your screening comes back fast - I had my scan on Tuesday afternoon and got the results yesterday afternoon.

Welcome @Pompom2367 Smile

gizmo167 · 12/06/2021 08:21

@Lillygolightly so pleased hun x

My scan went fine too, baby wouldn't move at start to get measurements but then took to legs kicking like crazy lol, pushed me forward one day to 27th December so all on track x

AnonymousXXIX · 12/06/2021 17:42

Ugh my nausea has returned the last two days :( :( :(
Thought I'd managed to move on from that! (11+1 today)

Scarletpig1 · 12/06/2021 18:02

Yeah I was feeling pretty good around week 11 and last pregnancy it was gone by week 12. But now I'm 13w and threw up in the car today. Last week I threw up in the park and millions of seagulls came swarming in on me to eat it which made me feel even more 🤢 but it comes and goes now so at least not constant anymore. I'm not even actually sick every day now. Just expected it to be gone by now

I'm 12 weeks today and still have the nausea and extreme fatigue. Hopefully it will ease this week. Scan on Monday

Sparklestars86 · 13/06/2021 07:06

@gizmo167 pleased your scan went well!

I'm coming up 13+5 and definitely getting more energy. Waking up really early but so motivated and energised first thing on a morning. Still tired by the evening - but I think I would be anyway prepregnancy with all this heat.
Nausea just sporadically through the day now as well.
So for anyone still suffering, things do get better! Xx

HelloWorld2577 · 13/06/2021 10:12

Hi everyone. New comer to the group. Been a hoverer for weeks lol. EDD 26th December (horrific timing😂). Anyone else struggling with a meat aversion? It's driving me INSANE. I love meat. But I literally cannot eat it😢I'd use meat substitutes but it's not just meat it's flavoured meat things. Like bacon crisps or chicken stock! It's also the texture! I'm 12 weeks now so praying it'll go away soon, this isn't my first pregnancy, but it's my first time ever having these symptoms😌

Em39ma · 13/06/2021 12:00

@HelloWorld2577 mines vegetable can not eat any, normally love them.
Can only manage meat and potatoes, but sometimes not even the potatoes. I’ve got severe HG and on strong tablets. I’m due the 27th, but my dd came out by c section 2 weeks early. Would have been 3 weeks, but induction didn’t work.

Hopesandsunshines · 13/06/2021 19:01

Hiya, regarding food aversions I'm really struggling with everything and as weird as it sounds I'm struggling specially with "shop bought food" the idea of going to a supermarket and seeing the food or to have to cook a meal it is revolting for me at the moment. I also get very specific things I want to eat and won't be able to have anything else for example yesterday it was nachos so we went to the only pub I know that does it and collected, It is being really challenging I'm hoping it goes away soon as the pregnancy progresses. Hope you are all having a better time x

Em39ma · 13/06/2021 19:29

@Hopesandsunshines I’m the same. Cooking makes me sick, the smell of cooking is revolting. I was the same last time, I think I eased around 16 weeks for me last time.

Elm98 · 13/06/2021 20:47

@HelloWorld2577 welcome to the group! Congrats on your due date (even if the timing is bad; I feel the same)

Food aversions have hit me hard this week, I’m struggling with most textures and anything strong tasting. My favourite at the moment is super noodles (which normally I wouldn’t go near) because they are warm, soft and not too overpowering to taste. I’m also hoping it’ll die down soon.

Poor DH bought in some fancy deli sandwiches, they had onion in, I took half a sandwich and had to give up as the texture and taste made me gag and the onion gave me raging heartburn all night Confused

Pineapple87 · 13/06/2021 21:07

I’m 12+ 5 and now can eat anything again, mine only lasted about 4 weeks, I’m like a hungry hippo atm lucky I lost half a stone in the first 11 weeks cause this week I’ve probably put it all back on lol, hopefully you will all be back to normal very soon Xx

HelloWorld2577 · 14/06/2021 11:07

@Pineapple87 I've lost a stone since finding out 😂Meat makes up such a huge part of my diet, and now it's just gone! And all the veggie options from takeaways/restaurants are just disgusting so I'm not having them anymore😂I tried to eat a McDonald's mcmuffin the other day and couldnt so had to be chucked it in the bin. Horrific times! I need to lose a few stone so very happy with that loss to be fair lol

Pineapple87 · 14/06/2021 12:08

That’s not too bad then nothing worse than not being able to eat tbh I lived on take away pizza for 2 weeks naughty but nice, I hope it gets better for you soon Xx

Moo37 · 14/06/2021 16:15

Hi all, had my 12 weeks scan today and all looks well, saw the baby give a real good kick lol. Had a bit trouble getting my bloods done as my veins kept collapsing when the needle went in, but got it 4th time lucky from my hand, even then it was so slow 🙈
Still nauseous but seriously hoping it's easing.

I wondered if anyone else had a yellow bit in the centre of the nipple. I noticed it even before my positive test. I also had it with my last pregnancies but never thought much of it.

Sparklestars86 · 14/06/2021 17:28

@Moo37 pleased to hear all went well!
Re the yellow bit- yes! I only noticed this yesterday so strange that you bring it up now! At least I now know I'm not alone. Xx

Em39ma · 14/06/2021 20:32

@Moo37 I had it with my dd, my boobs would get it a couple of times day. I’m still getting milk, though not fed for a year now, so I’ve just seem to be getting more milk each day now. Will start to pump when I get to around 6 months.

Moo37 · 15/06/2021 15:36

I'm convinced that pregnancy constipation is just practice pushing for when giving birth 🙈

Pineapple87 · 15/06/2021 16:25

@Moo37 also the pain when ya have wind, I’ve had it so bad with the constipation! I actually thought I had contractions 😵‍💫 lol

Hopesandsunshines · 16/06/2021 12:58

Hi Ladies, maybe a bit soon to ask or plan but I'm very excited about the idea of a baby shower my sister possibly will fly to the UK to participate in my baby shower if covid allows it. I am not British and I understand a baby shower is not a traditional thing yet I still want one. I would like to invite all my friends and family ladies adults, and maybe their teenager girls which are only a couple, the majority of my friends have to toddlers, but I would like to keep this event children free, do you think people will get offended if I ask no children and then see a couple of teenagers in the place?

Theawkwardblonde · 16/06/2021 15:33

Hey all. Had my scan today, baby was fine and everything looked okay. Due date pushed a few days back so now it's the 29th of December. I can feel a new year day baby 😂😂

Scarletpig1 · 16/06/2021 15:55

@Theawkwardblonde happy for you that your scan went well. My turn tomorrow. I think I've been feeling a few little kicks the past few days so that's put my mind at ease and I'm more excited than nervous about it now

Hopesandsunshines · 16/06/2021 16:06

@Theawkwardblonde very pleased to know your scan went well!! I'm so scared for mine on Friday! Is it external or internal?

Scarletpig1 · 16/06/2021 16:34

@Hopesandsunshines I don't know about baby shower etiquette, I don't know anyone who has had one. Maybe if you mention when you are inviting people there will be a couple of teenage girls there but no little children. That way they don't get a surprise when they turn up?
