Good luck for tomorrow @Kinsters I have my nhs 12 week scan today, I barely slept last night. 2 mmc here too, last years hit hard and I’m terrified- even spent the morning cleaning my car to try and pass the time. I’m so tired now!

Hope everyone’s ok x

TakeYourFinalPosition · 07/06/2021 11:27

Best of luck @Kinsters and @Mayneedanextraroom - I hope things go well, and you enjoy seeing baby!

My scan is tomorrow afternoon. I’m nervous already!

Kinsters · 07/06/2021 11:42

Theawkwardblonde · 07/06/2021 12:13

Good luck for everyone who has scans coming up! How's everyone doing on the sickness front? I actually think mine may be easing 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Pineapple87 · 07/06/2021 12:25

Hi @Theawkwardblonde my sickness stopped 2 weeks ago although I feel sick a lot and yesterday I was sick again didn’t help I had a glass of Diet Coke and the stood on a slug 🤢 I’m 12 weeks today.

Kinsters · 07/06/2021 12:40

My nausea and food aversions are going now at 11+5 but it's replaced with awful indigestion which makes me feel really sick overnight.

Ayy92 · 07/06/2021 12:52

I'm due dec 2nd had my 12 week scan last week what do you guys think .

Good luck to you all with your 12 weeks scans coming up, thinking of you all.
I've also never thought of checking my toiletries but will have a look later and check.

Morning sickness for me stopped as soon as I had my 12 week scan, such a relief and my appetite is now returning.

Thanks for the Facebook join Kinsters.

AnonymousXXIX · 07/06/2021 13:52

I felt terrible all through May (week 5 to 9 ish). It's not totally gone, but now it's a lot better (10+3 today). Really struggling with digestion though. (I had the best digestion pre-pregnancy, this is so sad...)

Switching between being so relieved to have seen the heartbeat, to panicking my 12 week scan is still two weeks away.

RowanMumsnet · 07/06/2021 14:00

Moo37 · 07/06/2021 14:09

@Emmgrem I was always against the vaccine when I found out I was pregnant, but got a little concerned reading things online with me being 40 and asthmatic. When I spoke to my midwife of my concerns, she totally agreed with me and said there is not enough evidence it's safe while pregnant. So I personally won't be getting mine till I have the baby and a bit after.

Moo37 · 07/06/2021 14:27

I'm 11+2 today ( due Xmas day) have my scan next week. But really struggling with fatigue and dizziness when standing. I had bloods taken last week but heard nothing about them which she said all is fine if you hear nothing. I really would have assumed I was anemic. Is it normal to be so tired dizzy. This is my 3rd but I was so I'll with my first two I never noticed anything except being sick 🙈

Shazza86 · 07/06/2021 14:59

@RowanMumsnet thank you! Just registered.

@moo37 I have heard that it's common to have dizziness. I haven't experienced it myself yet but have felt so fatigued. Finally starting to feel more normal this last week.

Mayneedanextraroom · 07/06/2021 17:00

Scan went well, I am so relieved and now just hoping the screening comes back ok - then onto worrying about the 20 week scan…🙈 baby was so active, doing somersaults and really hard to get pics of but I am so grateful everything was ok. I had got myself so worried as symptoms had eased off, dated at 13+ 2 and due date 11th December x

Kinsters · 07/06/2021 17:06

Mayneedanextraroom congratulations, that must have been so lovely to see

Shazza86 · 07/06/2021 17:18

@Mayneedanextraroom that's amazing! So pleased for you!! I thought I'd be the same, but since I got my screening results back I've felt quite calm. I'm sure that will change as I get close to the 20 weeks window.

Mayneedanextraroom · 07/06/2021 17:32

It really was, thank you so much @Kinsters what time is yours tomorrow?

Thank you @Shazza86 I’m hoping that they come back ok and I can then relax a bit x

Kinsters · 07/06/2021 17:55

Should be around 9:30am. We don't actually get appointment times here (I live in Malaysia) it's like a post office ticket system with first come first served so I'll be hauling myself out of bed at 6:45am to go grab a ticket and hope to be one of the first ones. Luckily the hospital is close by so I don't need to hang around there. Covid has made it a lot quieter and easier though. With my daughter I'd sometimes end up waiting two hours or more - annoying but fine for a first baby, not so good with a toddler in tow!

Mayneedanextraroom · 07/06/2021 18:29

Oh wow @Kinsters to be living in Malaysia - have you always lived there? That’s really interesting to have the ticket system, our local hospital does that (UK based) for blood tests, and it works well, but totally see how this is difficult with a toddler. I will be thinking of you tomorrow morning x

gizmo167 · 07/06/2021 20:19

Congrats on the scans & those waiting hope they go well x

Mine is on Friday & my anxiety levels are through the roof! I'm petrified of having another one go wrong after 2 mc's, so scared it'll either be a molar or mmc, can't settle my head at all, I'm 43 so this is the last time I will ever be pregnant!

Pineapple87 · 07/06/2021 20:40

Good luck @gizmo167 for Friday 💗

Horehound · 07/06/2021 20:43

@Kinsters oh cool! Your description of the ticket system made me laugh. My oarent sliced and worked in Myanmar for a few years sand there were so many things like that (also no post!).
Where are you based? I had my honeymoon in Malaysia/Penang and Langkawi and actually conceived DS on the last night of our honeymoon in Langkawi haha!!

burtle4 · 07/06/2021 22:01

@gizmo167 I feel the same, I'll be 40 at the end of this month and after taking 2.5 years to concieve I know that this is our last shot. I've experienced a MMC at the 12 week scan before and I don't think I'll be able to relax until it's done. I do have a doppler from previous pregnancies that I've been using which is helping to reassure me that there's a baby in there, but I'm still really worried about whether it's healthy. I keep thinking it will get easier after the scan but it probably won't 😂

I live in Penang! It's a really nice place to live. Been here almost 2 years now.
