Lovely news @Babycakes39 @cloud2021 @Lindzers83 must be the day for scans! I had my booking in over a week ago and the midwife told me she would book me in for bloods this week and send my scan date through but I still haven't heard anything 😕 I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow so feel like it's all being left a bit late! In a way I suppose the only good thing about it is that I can't obsess over counting down the days until my scan!

Lindzers83 · 01/06/2021 15:32

Realized all my details were in the last picture x

Elm98 · 01/06/2021 18:37

Hi ladies,
So glad to hear everything is going well and all of you are getting those scans booked in, I can’t wait to see some lovely pictures!

I’m 10 weeks today! Grin and still can’t quite believe I’m pregnant, absolutely zero symptoms.

How long before your 12 week scans did you get the date? I’m so impatient now; I just want to see bean again but still no scan date.
Postman must think I’m mad when I rush to the letterbox before he can take his fingers away just to check if a date has come through yet. Grin

Mayneedanextraroom · 01/06/2021 19:27

How exciting with all the scans today! Congratulations to you all. So many today 🥰 I have mine next Monday, seems ages away still

Lindzers83 · 02/06/2021 07:47

@Elm98 same other than not being able to keep my eyes open past 7pm. I got my scan letter 10 days before and I think I was 11+2 at the time.

1ce1cebaby · 02/06/2021 11:12

Congrats on the scans - lovely to see 😀 I got my 20 week scan date through and appointments for 16(ish) weeks and 28 weeks - don’t recall getting anything so far in advance last time but handy to have now. I think 16 weeks is more so a collection of the green folder and a phonecall as opposed to face to face appointment.

WildflowerPetals · 02/06/2021 11:21

It was bad news for me at my scan unfortunately. I started bleeding an hour and half before my scan and the scan showed another MMC at just over 7 weeks again 😔

Babycakes39 · 02/06/2021 11:24

Oh I'm so sorry @WildflowerPetals, that's so awful. Sending you hugs 😞 Xx

AnonymousXXIX · 02/06/2021 11:35

No @WildflowerPetals that's devastating :( I am so sorry

burtle4 · 02/06/2021 12:11

Oh @WildflowerPetals I'm so sorry, that's just awful. I've had a MMC at the 12 week scan and know how devastating it is to be told the baby has died, but to go through that twice is just cruel. Do you think they'll look into why it happened again this time? Nothing anyone says will make you feel better, just look after yourself and give yourself time to grieve Flowers xx

Pineapple87 · 02/06/2021 12:11

I am so sorry @WildflowerPetals ❤️

Sparklestars86 · 02/06/2021 12:32

@WildflowerPetals So sorry to hear that. 💔 Xx

WildflowerPetals · 02/06/2021 12:58

Thank you all ❤️ @burtle4 I'm not sure they'll look into it, they usually only investigate after 3 unfortunately. I've got an appointment at the EPU on Friday so I'll ask some questions then and see if I can get any answers x

1ce1cebaby · 02/06/2021 13:05

@WildflowerPetals I’m so sorry to read your news. It really is unfair and I’m sorry you have to go through it. I know nothing anyone says can help. I hope you have your rainbow baby soon and can be as well as you can be x

Mayneedanextraroom · 02/06/2021 13:12

@WildflowerPetals I’m so sorry you read your sad news 😢 nothing prepares you for that and I really hope you’re ok, sending huge hugs your way x

Horehound · 02/06/2021 14:42

@WildflowerPetals very sorry to hear your news. So sad :( I hope you have good support. Really feel for you

Em39ma · 02/06/2021 18:09

@WildflowerPetals sorry to here this.
Please don’t give up, I’ve had 2, but I have one dd 19 mths.

Hopesandsunshines · 02/06/2021 18:36

I'm so sorry for your loss @WildflowerPetals my heart is with you and your family.

Currently I'm waiting to be checked as the asthma medication is not helping went to the gp who referred me to the hospital to check for a blood clot on my lungs, very scared hopefully it is not that. Has anyone had a blood clot in pregnancy?

Elm98 · 02/06/2021 19:16

@WildflowerPetals I’m so sorry, my heart is with you. Make sure you keep looking after yourself. Flowers

TakeYourFinalPosition · 02/06/2021 19:34

I’m so sorry, @WildflowerPetals Flowers

@Hopesandsunshines I have no experience of clots in pregnancy but I hope you get seen soon and all is okay.

Theawkwardblonde · 02/06/2021 20:13

@WildflowerPetals so sorry to hear this. Rest up and take car of yourself.

Theawkwardblonde · 02/06/2021 20:16

Random one: do any of you not drive? And if not, how do you manage/expect to manage when DC arrives?
I've lost my license this year due to medical reasons, and it looks unlikely I'll get it back. It's devastated me as I adore driving, not just got how convenient it is.
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around not driving with a child. Any advice/reassurance would be welcome!

Em39ma · 02/06/2021 20:53

@Theawkwardblonde I do drive, but I’ve been looking at electric bikes with the big seats on. I think it is a good way to get around locally, shops, town , family etc. We are all in the same town, so all with the 20/40 radius for them.
I love driving and would feel like someone had cut my legs off if I had to stop. I’m just thinking it a lot more environmentally friendly with the electric bike.

Scarletpig1 · 02/06/2021 20:56

@Theawkwardblonde I drive but when I had my first he was such a bad sleeper I didn't feel capable of driving. I used to walk with him in the pram instead. He would only nap in the pram anyway. I used to walk for about three hours a day as we would go out a couple of times a day. Do you live in a town or out in the country? Are buses an option?
