Anyone just got their BFP and due in Jan 2022?

Hi all!

Just got my BFP! Approximately 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date calculator has put me to give birth around 8th January. Feeling so nervous, have had two MCs and then thankfully a much loved DC. Symptoms currently are extremely sore boobs, mild cramping, and upper hip / thigh pain on my right leg! Would love to chat to others who've just found out and want somewhere to refer back to!

@AlexandraH87 - every pregnancy is so different, honestly. First time round I wasn’t nauseous/sick until around 3 months in, but this time I’ve been feeling nauseous most mornings and had to make my excuses in one meeting 3 times!

@Newbie202012 I'm supposedly 4+1 today.

But, bad news I think. I had prolonged cramps on Friday night and then again last night. They were moderate but went on for hours and were just like period pain, which ironically I never get much of at all. This was what happened to me last time so any faith I had pretty much evaporated.

This morning I took a test with fmu and was actually surprised, despite feeling so negatively, that it was fainter than the day before.

Top is this morning's test. Bottom is yesterday afternoon with slightly diluted wee. Obviously both are faint for 14 dpo and 15 dpo however you slice it.

I'm not bleeding, not even spotting, but I think it must be around the corner, surely? So, looks like a chemical following an mmc for me. I'm just fed up and hope my stupid body doesn't hang on like it did last time.

Is it stupid to hold on to hope here?

@weathervane123 - I’m really sorry you’re going through that.
The thing is, there could be a load of reasons why it’s lighter; dye distribution, faulty test, anything.
Unfortunately it’s going to be a wait and see which is the worst feeling in the world ❤️

Of course you're not stupid to hold on for hope x. Nothing is definite until it's definite. I'll be hoping for you as well xx

@ELW85 thank you. I did two frers and they're both reading lighter than yesterday afternoon's. It's just so depressing when the lines start going the wrong way. Of course it explains my lack of symptoms.

@Howiesgirl thanks so much. All the ladies on here are so lovely! My CB digital is showing 1-2 weeks but I don't think it will for much longer.

Even with the cramps killing off hope it was viable I was sure it'd be darker today.

@weathervane123 if you’re having cramps but not bleeding I wouldn’t give up yet or start to worry. I had bad cramps before my BFP and assumed my period was on its way. Also I’ve seen a lot of women on here talk about the hook effect so it might be the reason why the test is fainter.

@Katiekattty thanks. I've heard about the hook effect too, but always thought you had to have a decent dark line first and that it was more common later on.

I am confused as I just did another frer with diluted wee (this morning's cup of decaf basically) and it looks slightly sharper, and maybe darker, than the one with fmu. I was expecting a negative with that wee after the first two. My fmu seemed concentrated at about 3am (did the test at 7.30) but I drank and peed a lot yesterday so who knows? I'm probably clutching at straws here.

Top is second morning wee (9am). Middle fmu (3am). Bottom yesterday pm (diluted wee).

So, it's wait and see. Ugh. The worst limbo! I've actually used up all my tests now, so that's it. I'm going to try and resist buying any more and let things take their course.

Tentatively joining, just got a positive after a miscarriage in January and chemical in March so currently more anxious than excited.

@weathervane123 sorry you are feeling so stressed, it's such a nightmare when you don't know what's going on and just want answers

I actually had darker tests later in the day to begin with rather than fmu. When I took one with fmu it was a smidge lighter and absolute panic set in with me. I did one a couple hours later and it was darker than the day before a test. So I think earlier on I was just getting darker tests later on

@willithappen Thanks for letting me know that. I feel like this is almost exactly like my mmc last month. I didn't get so much as a shadow until 12dpo and though the line has darkened considerably, I just don't feel like I'm where I should be at 15dpo, even without it getting lighter.

Trying to keep my chin up but it's hard. And I can't get through to the bloody recurrent miscarriage unit for love nor money. All I want to know is if I should try aspirin. At the point I'm thinking I should just go out and get some and start on 75mg myself.

@zeromango what time is your scan? Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 Don’t be disheartened if you don’t see anything as you’re quite early still, just as long as it’s not growing in the wrong place assume all’s okay 🤍

@weathervane123 , I've read that with some woman have better lines with smu it must be because of the amount of fluids they had the day befor , plus it takes 2 to 3 days to double I wouldnt give up hope the cramps at 4 weeks is normal so try not to worry we have to have hope just try and relax i really hope this one sticks for you ,

@Newbie202012 yes, I've had that happen before now. But I think my levels are just very, very low , and I'm convinced the cramping is my body trying to shed the uterine lining. It's not a pulling or stretching sensation. It's just like period pain. It would make sense as my mmc was detected at 6+5 but it was just blood and very few clots - the nurse thought it actually happened around 5 weeks. It's not a pulling or stretching sensation. Just did a test CD 28. Looks positive right?! Will be first baby if it sticks!

@Mazblue86 that looks like a positive !! Will you be due end of Jan? Congratulations 😍 I had a line like that last week and this week I have a very strong one but of course it is all still very early days. I’m very anxious but hoping for the best, what more can we do?!
