@zeromango I've also heard that brown bleeding can be totally normal. Good luck at your scan. I hope it goes well for you.
@Newbie202012 I'm so sorry to hear of your previous losses. That's so very hard, especially when you're not getting answers. Thus far I haven't actually met with anyone at the recurrent miscarriage clinic! I wasn't expecting to yet, tbh, as I only had my mc in early April. I got a letter from the consultant gynae instead explaining that the clinic was booked up solid but rather than have me waiting an age for an appointment she'd get the ball rolling and order the thrombophilia screen if I wanted now, and she'd prescribe 150mg of aspirin if necessary for any new pregnancy. She told me to ask my GP for a prescription for progesterone for any new pregnancy but if they give me any trouble she'd sort it. I have a good GP (when I can get hold of her) but I have no problems being obnoxious over it if I need to. I was also told to call her office and book in for an early reassurance scan when I get a positive test. I doubt she thought I'd be asking for that so soon, but it's good to know it's available to me even if I don't think it'll do much to convince me I'm getting a baby out of this, particularly before 8 weeks (if I even make it that far). It's such early days and given the faintness of lines so far I'm not convinced it isn't going to end up a chemical or an early mc.
I'm kicking myself a little that I didn't wait for a first period post-mc/to have the thrombophilia screen done but I've emailed her and asked whether I should take the aspirin anyway given that I'm pregnant again and missed my chance.
I think you should ask your GP about thyroid/FSH and anything else you think may be useful to get to the bottom of the issue. Given your history, if you push I think you stand a good chance of getting those tests done. I'm just not sure if you can have them done when you're pregnant because the pregnancy may affect the result?
It's odd they've cut you off completely, especially if you haven't even gotten the results of one of your tests back. Could the receptionist be mistaken? Were they able to offer you karotyping?
I think there's a point where the NHS runs out of options and then it's a matter of going private, but it sounds really shitty they wouldn't even prescribe progesterone, which seems standard. The standard of care really varies depending on where you are too.
