14+3 today and feeling suddenly very nervous as don't feel pregnant anymore 😂 I know they say this is normal, but... I'm a worrier! I had scan 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect, but now feel pretty much normal after a hellish first trimester of heavy bleeding and sickness every day. Can't wait for baby to start moving so I have the reassurance ❤️ how's everyone else feeling? X

@Boxsky Oh my of course you've got a little IVF babaaa 😍
Definitely try a sweep if they will give you one, always could to attempt a natural way first! The drip is something I really want to avoid. I'm petrified of the thought of forceps delivery as they are absolutely barbaric and should be banned!! It's on my notes that I dont want any instrumental intervention at all. But of course if it's a life or death situation then I'd follow their lead.
Haha is it bad that I'll probably use the power tools? 😂 should have seen me with my DD.. we moved house when I was due and I ended up doing way too much, my DH nearly killed me lol. It was silly though as I ended up on the maternity unit one night as I thought I was going into labour, turns out I'd just totally messed my back up 🤦🏻‍♀️
So definitely wouldn't recommend being stupid like me lol. I'm just too stubborn and I hate sitting back and watching others do the work when I know I could do a better job myself ha!
I want to white wash everything and then do some DIY panelling on the walls painted black and have some sort of hessian/herringbone runner up the middle of the stairs and landing. Ive been pricing up those decorative metal stair rods as well that you see on grand staircases but my god they're expensive! Xx

Boxsky · 15/05/2021 21:22

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh my god that's just like me! I have no real plan but my only thing I'm set on is no forceps! I'd rather an emergency c section I think!!!! I think they're awful and so risky for baby too. But deffo gonna ask for sweeps
Oh Lordy 😂😂 as long as you know your limitations this time and don't hurt yourself again! I'm quite enjoying 'supervising'! Sounds lovely!!!! I can imagine they are super pricey but so beautiful xx

@Boxsky you rarely hear positive stories about them, they can cause damage to your spine and serious bruising to babies head.. urgh they make me shudder 🤢 and seeing them in action... I saw it on one of the baby programmes on TV.. it was horrific.
Oh my DH wont let me do much this time, although it's difficult when he's at work and I'm running round after my DD haha! No rest for the wicked 😂 it's just a good job I've got loads of energy right now ha!! Xx

Boxsky · 16/05/2021 09:15

@MyGrassIsBrowner exactly that I've seen so many scary stories about spinal damage it fills me with fear.
😂 chasing around DD is one thing but playing with power tools is something else!! Glad to hear you have loads of energy, long may it stay that way! xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/05/2021 10:51

@Boxsky
Try and get into some really positive thinking with regards to the birth! I also highly recommend sex for trying to get things going nearer the time as well. Granted it's not exactly sexy or comfortable but damn it worked for me and DH thought Christmas came early 😆
I'm glad of the energy I have at the moment but I'm on edge as I just want to do things in the house and financially we can't at the moment lol!!! I'll be elated if DH gets this job as we'll be in a much better place and will have some spare cash to do some DIY! Haha xx

Boxsky · 16/05/2021 17:57

@MyGrassIsBrowner DH isn't wanting sex atm as he's worried about the bleed earlier on when I was put on pelvic rest and is worried baby would kick him half way through 😂😂 typical!
Oh bless you. Properly nesting!!! I can't wait for scan now! Feel super on edge and just wanna know all's okay!
Hopefully you'll hear about the job soon and you can get to doing some exciting stuff!!!! Xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/05/2021 20:40

@Boxsky Oh bless him tbh my DH was the same for a while but definitely consider it nearer your due date! The sperm can help soften the cervix and bring labour on naturally. Haha you need to tell him unless he somehow manages to penetrate your cervix he wont be anywhere near baby 😂
I'm so excited too, only 4 days for you now!!! Can't wait to see a pic!
His job trial is on Tuesday so I'm hoping it works out for him. Dreading the next two weeks though as most his shifts finish at 11pm and his commute to work is an hour each way so I wont see much of him 😭 we're like two peas in a pod and I know people have to work but I really hate being away from him for long periods. Most women would be glad to have some peace but we just love each others company too much lol. Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/05/2021 21:17

@Boxsky So apparently I've well and truly popped now! Got a feeling I'm gonna be huge lol!! Xx

14 weeks - anyone else!?
Boxsky · 17/05/2021 12:03

@MyGrassIsBrowner I deffo will be jumping him at every opportunity 😂😂😂
I feel super nervous....!!!! I woke up today feeling very unpregnant and just very worried. How're you feeling!? You can say next week now!
Oh no doll I am totally the same when the DH is away, I get it. But hopefully tomorrow goes well and it'll only be a short term thing he's away
Look at your bump 😍😍 so envious, that's a proper bump! And your dogs legs made me laugh xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 17/05/2021 13:04

@Boxsky he wont believe his luck haha!!
Oh I know how you feel, if it wasn't for the kicks I'm getting now and notable bump I honestly wouldn't know I was pregnant. To be honest though just enjoy it (I know it's easier said than done though)
I'm feeling really well but I'm just miserable as DH has such an awful week ahead of him at work, I will barely see him so we're both a bit quiet today lol. I'm just praying now his trial goes well tomorrow at this new job as he'll be able to hand his notice in this week🤞
I must stress though this is my 2nd so my belly is already pre-stretched and you tend to show a lot sooner 😂 with my first I was at least 23 weeks when I got that really nice rounded bump! I'm just not looking forward to being heavily pregnant in the height of summer, it's going to be uncomfortable to say the least haha!!
Just try and take things easy xxx

Boxsky · 17/05/2021 17:08

@MyGrassIsBrowner aww are your kicks super strong now? I get nudges so I'm counting them as kicks. I hope that's what they are and not digestion 😂
Oh bless you! I'm keeping everything crossed.
That's true! I've deffo got something in the way of a bump but not as lovely as yours! Oh I know, me neither!!! But it's so cold at the minute I'm doing okay but I do want the sun soon!! Xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 17/05/2021 17:46

@Boxsky Yeah they are, I've seen my belly move quite a lot already now as well which is so bizarre to experience again! The nudges will definitely be kicks now, it's such a nice feeling isn't it 🥰 they'll just continue to get stronger every week, they grow so fast!
Oh bless you thank you, but honestly don't worry, you'll get that bump soon and as I say remember this is my second so things are much more stretched out now haha 😆 one day you'll just wake up and your bump will be huge! I carried really neatly with my DD (from the back you couldnt even tell I was pregnant) but this time I'm much more chunky haha!
I know what you mean, we've got rain on and off at the moment in North Lincolnshire and I am definitely looking forward to taking DD in the garden on her new swing! Xxx

Boxsky · 17/05/2021 18:25

@MyGrassIsBrowner that's so amazing I can't wait to see my tummy move!!! It's not often I'm nudged I still get flutters though; but it's all still amazing!
😂 you don't look chunky at all lovely! It's a neat round bump! Im so excited for your scan next week to find out what you're having!
It's awful isn't it! I'm Kent and it's hailing here at the moment. Meant to be summer! Xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 17/05/2021 18:53

@Boxsky it's soooo amazing when it does and you'll find you spends hours just tapping your belly trying to get them to move hehe!
Aww you're so sweet thank you 💖
I'll be thinking about you on the 20th!! It'll be an amazing experience for you as it's much more in depth than the 12 week scan, you'll be there for a good half hour.
Oh my god hail?! That's mad!!! To be honest here it's light and cloudless out front but when I look out back the sky is grey and it's just starting to rain.. I can't cope!! 😂 xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 19/05/2021 11:32

@Boxsky omfg your scan tomorrow!!!! 😍 absolutely buzzing for you! Please let me know when you've been 😆 what time is your scan?
Well I'm stressing to frick at the moment, my pooch has a lump on his gum and it's starting to grow over one of his teeth.. so got a vet appointment tomorrow. I'm just dreading that he may need an op to remove it and god knows what that is going to cost us, we're bloody skint. Think my mum will help us out but I hate owing people money. I also booked my whooping cough vaccine in for next Friday. Have you got yours booked?
Think we also have a blood test right after our 20 week scan as well.. if I arent sick of being bloody injected haha!
How are you feeling? Are you getting excited?!
My friend had her 20 week scan yesterday, but baby wasn't playing ball at all so they couldn't tell her the gender 😫 she's had to book a private scan instead.. what a palarva!
This baby better play ball cause can I hell afford another private scan haha! Xx

Boxsky · 20/05/2021 06:19

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh my god I am SOOO nervous!!!! Scan is at 1130. I'll send you pics straight away!!!!! She's still not wriggling as much as I'd like her to, DH hasn't felt it yet, which is worrying and upsetting me.
Oh no poor pooch!! Sure it's just an abscess lovely, but I know what you mean. Vets are so expensive! I hope poochy is okay though.
I had my whooping cough couple weeks back, was perfectly fine! Why you having blood test after scan love?
I'm excited but nervous. So nervous. I hope she's still a girl, but mostly I hope there's no problems! Are you excited!? Only few days to go now! Xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 20/05/2021 08:42

@Boxsky Deep breaths girl, you're gonna be just fine!! I must admit now I've felt baby move she's very sporadic however I just tend to sit for half hour after a really cold or fizzy drink and it tends to get her moving again. You'll get days were you dont feel them as much but obviously if you are concerned you just call the hospital and generally they will get you in for monitoring. It's bloody stressful but we're halfway now! The end is in sight!

Oh forget I said anything about bloods.. I had it in my head you get bloods taken after the 20 week scan but you dont at all. Baby brain 😂
Good luck!! I'm gonna be thinking of you at 11:30! Will let you know how I get on with pooch as well and if I've had to sell my body to pay vet fees 😂
Xx

Boxsky · 20/05/2021 12:41

@MyGrassIsBrowner all done and she was perfect!!!!!!! So relieved. She was wriggling away and it was so clear. Saw up her nose and everything 😂
How's your pooch? Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 20/05/2021 12:57

@Boxsky Oh my lord what a little BEAUTY 😍😍😍 her little face... so fricking perfect!
I'm so so so pleased for you! I'm getting all nervous for mine now hahaha!!! 🙈 xxx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 20/05/2021 12:58

@Boxsky Just on our way to the vets now, I'll let you know what the crack is. Hoping it's just benign to be honest. Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 20/05/2021 15:29

@Boxsky well vets went okay thankfully it's totally benign, an Epulis apparently and we can just leave it be. The vet told us he's fat though and now weighs 38kgs. I LOL'd 🙈 so he's on a diet now which he wont be happy about haha! Xx

Boxsky · 20/05/2021 18:43

@MyGrassIsBrowner isn't she just so cute 😍 don't be nervous (easy for me to say now!) I ate a little square of galaxy before I went in and she was having a party!!! Only a few days for you now.... I've found other things to worry about now 😂 of course

Oh my god I'm so relieved he's okay tho!! 😂😂😂 that's so funny!!!!!! Xx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 20/05/2021 21:07

@Boxsky Just absolutely lovely 😍
Oh trust me, you never stop worrying really, even when they're born 😂 you just learn to deal with it haha.
I'm so excited now, just gotta get the weekend over with. DH is working shitty shifts so I'm gonna be on my own a lot and we usually watch Eurovision together but wont be able to this time... devestated 😂
I had a bit of a breakdown today with my hair, it's really long like right down my back, got my hair brush stuck in it whilst I was drying it so I've lopped a whole 9 inches off it! But my god it looks and feels amazing now I'm so happy lol. I'll pre-warn you about post-partum hair loss by the way, mine was horrific my hairline started receeding so bad. Some ladies dont suffer much but others do and it's the one thing that is never talked about. It was a shock as my hair goes absolutely lush during pregnancy, but afterwards it was AWFUL and I dont tend to use much heat on my hair. If there is anything else you wanna ask me by the way please do, whether it be some tips or whatever, I'll happily answer very honestly if I can! Xx

Boxsky · 21/05/2021 15:55

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh bless you!!! Sometimes a change is all you need. Heard anything about DH new job??
I'm deffo preparing for the hair loss 😫 the things we go through
Oh bless you! I deffo will!
Just the weekend to get through then it's nearly your scan time! Xxx

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 21/05/2021 17:40

@Boxsky I know right... bloody relentless sometimes the stuff we go through lol.
Oh I forgot to say about DH job! Well the trial went well, but we had a good chat about it and it's a self employed role and he doesn't feel comfortable taking the risk as we have a mortgage etc. He also wouldn't be paid for holidays or sick and with two children it could leave us in shit. I'm proud of him for taking the leap but as he's the one working I dont want him to be worried in his job. He has however told his boss he's actively job searching so it's taken some of the weight off in his current job now. He just wants a simple 9-5 mon-friday job but they're bloody few and far between.
Getting excited for my scan now ahhhh!! 🙈 xx
