14+3 today and feeling suddenly very nervous as don't feel pregnant anymore 😂 I know they say this is normal, but... I'm a worrier! I had scan 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect, but now feel pretty much normal after a hellish first trimester of heavy bleeding and sickness every day. Can't wait for baby to start moving so I have the reassurance ❤️ how's everyone else feeling? X

@CaptainSpirit it was awful, I lost half a stone because I just couldn't eat and I LOVE my food Grin So happy to have my appetite back now.

We are 90% sure we will find out. We are having a tough time thinking of names so hoping we might have some inspiration if we know the gender. Will you be finding out?

How many weeks is everyone now?

CaptainSpirit · 08/04/2021 21:20

@GummyBear91 Oh gosh half a stone, you must have been so bad. 😩 Glad you're feeling better now though! Do you have any particular cravings right now?
I fully expected my morning sickness/vomiting to be gone by now but I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and it's still pretty bad. Not nearly as bad as it has been thankfully, but still niggling at me every morning. It started earlier than with my previous pregnancies but has lasted longer too! 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's such a big responsibility naming someone isn't it?! Grin We're definitely finding out, we've got a private scan booked for ten days time and I can't wait. Have you looked at the baby name boards for inspo? We're set on a boys name and we've got a front runner for a girl, but I'm still looking about. We've already had two girls so finding another name is hard!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 08/04/2021 21:49

@CaptainSpirit Oh you poor thing I'm sorry you're still suffering, I hope it buggars off soon! There's nothing worse and it really is debilitating. I had gorgeous skin with my DD during pregnancy, this time I've been absolutely shafted 😆 my skin is really dry and my acne is cystic. I use Simple products but even those dont seem to help the situation.

@GummyBear91 Glad you're feeling better now lovely. This is your first isn't it? Hopefully you'll breeze through the rest of this pregnancy now! I remember I did at that point first time!

So what names are you thinking about ladies? I'd love to know!
My DD is called Scarlett so if we have a girl we're thinking Macy, and for a boy, Leo. We're having two middle names for each of them (bit far fetched I know) but we just love it. Thankfully got those figured out for boy and girl already lol. X

MyGrassIsBrowner · 08/04/2021 21:50

Also, I'm 13+5... I still feel soooooo early. X

CaptainSpirit · 08/04/2021 22:36

@MyGrassIsBrowner Oh that sounds bad about your poor skin! Is there anything the GP could look into if it's getting you down? It's crazy how different your pregnancies can be!

Ah your name choices are lovely, they sound so nice with Scarlett as well. ❤️ I think Leo would've been on my list had a family member not had a baby Leo last year!
Macy is really nice too and you don't hear that one about too much. Nothing wrong with two middle names, are they special to you or just ones that you both really like? Smile

We have picked Asher for a boy! We're quite set on it now I think, I absolutely love it. And top at the moment for a girl is Luna, which is really pretty but I think it's getting a bit popular? Our older DDs are called Violet and Cassie and I do think Luna sounds nice with them.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 08/04/2021 22:59

@CaptainSpirit Annoyingly I was changing my pill right before I found out I was pregnant as I was on the progenstogen only pill and was going to change to the combi-pill to see if it made any difference to my acne. Then a few days later I found out I was pregnant 😆 unfortunately you're limited to what you can use on your skin to treat acne and I'm pretty sure anything with salicylic acid in it is a no go.
I try the old trusty sudocrem but then it clogs my pores so I can't seem to win at the minute.

Aww thank you! 💖 my DH said he's never come across a Macy and neither have I so it feels right for us. The middle names are names of late family, grandmas, grandads etc so they mean a lot to us personally.

Your daughters names are absolutely luuuuuurvly! I especially love Violet. Asher for a boy is so unique and Luna is gorgeous as well, I think it is becoming more popular but who cares, if you like it go for it! We struggled deciding on a name for a boy, we do like Leo but I am still on the fence 🙈

Boxsky · 09/04/2021 10:54

Hi all!! @MyGrassIsBrowner sounds awful week but hopefully it'll pick up!! I felt quite poorly last night but just out scan now, baby looked good and less Dracula like (thank god!!) measured a few days behind at 14+2 not 14+6 based on IVF dates but they said it's a few MM different so not too worried. Giving everyone a wave in pictures... Hope you're all well! X

@Boxsky hey lovely, ooooooh look at that baba!! 😍 so glad your scan went well. My 20 week one isn't until the 24th May but my god I'm soooooo excited. And DH is allowed to this one as well.. though they said he has to wait outside until I'm called through. It's so funny to see the poor fellas stood outside the hospital waiting room all waiting to be called in not knowing what the hell to do with themselves 🤣

Boxsky · 09/04/2021 12:27

@MyGrassIsBrowner sooo exciting isn't it!!!! It'll fly by. Mines 22nd I think. Hopefully by then we'll be bumping and feeling lots!! I think it's so important for the men to be able to come to the scan, keeps them involved! I've got a gender scan before my 20 weeks, most photographed baby! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 09/04/2021 12:40

@Boxsky Ohhh you lucky thing! I wish we could afford another private scan but will just have to wait for the 20 week one now. We had an early private one before 12 weeks because DH wasn't allowed to my first scan, it's so unfair on them.
Have you felt anything yet? I'm fairly sure I've felt a few 'pops' but then again it's difficult to distinguish between baby movement and bowel movements 🤣
With this been my second I'm hoping I can feel movements a bit earlier this time! X

Boxsky · 09/04/2021 13:03

@MyGrassIsBrowner the husband is getting a tax rebate so we're spending that on the baby scan haha! Hopefully 20 weeks will come soon. People always say that second trimester flies by, fingers crossed that's true. Oh bless you! I'm sure it's baby, more exciting than bowel movements or gas 😂😂 I don't think I've felt anything yet, but it's my first so I don't think I'll even know what it feels like! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 09/04/2021 13:30

@Boxsky well that's fab! Hope my DH is gonna get a tax rebate.. that would come in quite handy for us atm lol. He's been on furlough so I wonder if that will effect it in some way 🤔

You're supposed to get the nice pregnancy glow in 2nd trimester but I'm still waiting 🤣
When you get movements you just know!! For me it really felt like a butterfly in there, it's so strange but once they start that's it! It's amazing 🥰 x

CaptainSpirit · 11/04/2021 15:26

Hey ladies how're you getting on? Smile

@Boxsky Awh lovely scan photos, I bet it was unreal to actually see your little one in 4D!! When is your next scan booked for now?

@MyGrassIsBrowner That's great that your DH can go to your 20 week scan, lovely for him to be able to see baby! Is that when you'll ask to find out the sex as well? DH isn't allowed to mine but he can come to the private ones thankfully.

I'm 15+2 weeks today and feeling VERY pregnant the last few days! I'm having trouble bending in the middle (which is tricky when I've got my two to constantly clean up after 😂)
I'm also waiting patiently for the second trimester glow @MyGrassIsBrowner, not hit here just yet. 😬
Is anyone else suffering from this delightful trapped wind as well?!

On a lighter note it's exactly a week until my sexing scan and it's almost all I can think about!! Grin

Boxsky · 11/04/2021 15:39

@CaptainSpirit it was so amazing to see!!! Made it feel more real that there's an actual baby in there... bizarre!!! We've booked our gender scan for 16 weeks, so tomorrow I can say it's 'scan is next week!' Aw bless you!!!! I'm feeling like I've lost any sign of bump there was, until I've eaten 😂😂 but really suffering with trapped wind 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's embarrassing really... and quite painful!!! I've resorted to a hot water bottle. Seems to help shift things. Hopefully your windyness isn't hurting lol. Bet you are on countdown!!!! Make sure you update us! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 11/04/2021 16:17

@CaptainSpirit hiya lovely! Oooh one week til your sexing scan that's amaaazing I'm so jealous. Mine just feels like an age away lol.
I'm 14+1 now and I'm fairly sure I've felt some movement if I'm honest. Little flutters I remember with my first! 😬
Yeah my 2nd trimester glow has packed its bags and done a runner, I look like SHIT. 🤣 x

GummyBear91 · 14/04/2021 20:21

@Boxsky @CaptainSpirit @MyGrassIsBrowner @penguin7

Has anyone felt baby move yet? It's my first pregnancy and not sure what I might be feeling. Feels like bubbles popping or being flicked gently from inside, low down in my bump. I'm 16w4d so feel like it might be too early but it's very consistent! I felt something very similar at the weekend but put it down to gas.

I hope everyone is doing well!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 14/04/2021 21:32

@GummyBear91 That's wonderful, definitely sounds like possible movement! I didn't feel movement with my first until 18 weeks but I'm 14+4 now and I'm fairly sure I've felt a few flutters already! Baby at 16 weeks is a decent size so it's definitely possible 😊

MyGrassIsBrowner · 15/04/2021 10:22

Are any of you ladies getting a bump yet? I'm 5ft 6 and around 14 stone at the moment, with this being my second I still kinda look I've just got my excess baby weight, does feel much tighter around my gut when I bend over though 🤣
Just to update you ladies, I had a phone call with the MW yesterday, asked a few questions regarding me having a home birth which she said can still go ahead even if I test positive for gestational diabetes, as long as baby isn't massively over percentile I can avoid an induction.
She did say to me though that my next face to face appointment with my MW wont be until 28 weeks!! 😳 I thought that was quite far away but she explained that cause it's my second then you're really just left to it. If I have any worries about movement etc I just ring the delivery suite at the hospital and they will get me straight in for monitoring.
I'm pretty sure you ladies having your first babies get more face to face appointments though. Hope all of you are doing okay! X

Boxsky · 15/04/2021 15:23

@MyGrassIsBrowner I don't know if I have a bump or just bloat, but I've just had a huge fish and chips at the beach and deffo feel like I should have worn my maternity jeans!!! That's amazing about home birth, is that your preferred option at the moment? 28 weeks!? That does seem quite far but I suppose it's good to know they are there if you have any questions or concerns. I just had to call my midwife this morning and felt like I was being a nuisance disturbing her. I've got a UTI and it's gone to kidneys so I'm in a bit of pain today and worried antibiotics weren't doing the job 🤦🏻‍♀️ always something to worry about!! 6 days until gender scan tho.... hope you're all well and feeling the second trimester glow! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 15/04/2021 16:29

@Boxsky ooooooh I'm so jealous, fish and chips sound absolutely delish right now 🤣
I'm so sorry you're suffering, nothing worse than a bloody UTI. I remember getting a UTI with my DD and being put on antibiotics, then I got a really bad bout of thrush.. you literally cannot win.
Yeah I'd like a homebirth this time, there's no MLU in my area unfortunately so I'd be straight on a ward and I just find hospitals really really stressful. Give me dentist over hospital anyday! I know at home I'll be so much more relaxed and it sounds rather selfish but I'd like the aspect of total one to one with the midwife.
Bet you're super excited about your gender scan omg!! Any guesses or gut feelings at what you're having? Something is telling me I'm having a girl again. My 12 week scan looked identical to my DD's 12 week scan it's uncanny x

Boxsky · 15/04/2021 19:25

@MyGrassIsBrowner it's so painful and obviously made me panic baby was going to get hurt in process. Google didn't help with that! Talking about it causing an infection in amniotic fluid and all sorts...! Aww that sounds like a really good idea for you then. And it'll be so much more relaxing in your own space. I have thought from IVF transfer day it's a boy, calling baby a 'he' throughout.. which makes me think it'll be a girl 😂 aww 2 girls will be lovely though. Have you read any baby/pregnancy books? I'm looking on Amazon now but there's so many x

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/04/2021 07:56

@Boxsky Oh you poor thing. Google is literally your worst enemy sometimes. Baby is well protected in there it takes a lot for something to seriously go wrong trust me!

You could well be right though it may well be a boy! I was right with my DD. Had a feeling from the moment I got my BFP. There are also a lot of females in my family as well.
I haven't actually read any pregnancy books yet although I have been recommended two which are

How To Grow A Baby - Clemmie Hooper
Ina May's Guide To Childbirth

Both of which I have heard really good things about! X

CaptainSpirit · 16/04/2021 11:04

Hey ladies, sorry been a bit absent lately! DH took the week off and DD1 has been off preschool due to Easter hols so we've practically been out every day in the sunshine! ☀️

@MyGrassIsBrowner Ahh amazing about the home birth, I'm so pleased for you!! ❤️❤️ It'll be incredible, my mum had a home birth for my younger sister and brother (big age gaps between us) and it was amazing to have the babies home with us from the second they were born.
Regarding bumps I definitely have one now - third baby so my stomach muscles have pretty much given up. 🙈 Still waiting to feel a bit of movement though! 🤞🏻

@Boxsky Oh you poor thing, UTI's are horrible. Sad I hope it clears up soon for you, hopefully the antibiotics sort you out soon. ❤️
So exciting about your gender scan! Have you thought of any names yet?
We've got our scan in two days!!

16 weeks today for me! Feel like I've got a little boy here simply because I've still got morning sickness and with my girls it had definitely passed by now. 🤢

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/04/2021 14:58

@CaptainSpirit hey lovely oh I dont blame you for getting out and enjoying the sunshine! My DH is back at work now after nearly 9 months on furlough and I have to say it's so strange! We both get on so well so I'm genuinely missing him like crazy 😭 it's nice just to talk to you ladies on here and catch up as I'm a bit of a loner in r/l 🤣 I like the quiet life these days.
The thought of having my baby, using my own shower then slumping straight into my own bed just sounds utterly blissful lol! DH said he's even going to get a bottle of Prosecco in for afterwards 🤣

Omg two days until your scan! Are you having a private one?? My 20 week one isn't until the 24th May so I'm counting down the days now!! X

Boxsky · 18/04/2021 07:50

Bless you @MyGrassIsBrowner I'm the same, can't be bothered to talk to many people in real life but it's nice to have a chat on here 😂

Good luck @CaptainSpirit!!!!! Let us know when you know. No, not thought of any names yet really... I'm now just stressing baby will have their legs crossed so won't be able to tell gender after all this build up haha!!! Xx
