14+3 today and feeling suddenly very nervous as don't feel pregnant anymore 😂 I know they say this is normal, but... I'm a worrier! I had scan 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect, but now feel pretty much normal after a hellish first trimester of heavy bleeding and sickness every day. Can't wait for baby to start moving so I have the reassurance ❤️ how's everyone else feeling? X

I loved Felix for a boy - my husband came round to it too! I think we have both deciding out Alice and seeing how it feels! Just about to go into my 16 week consultant appointment- no idea what to expect!

Hope you're all doing okay. Nearly half way x

I have two girl names that I like...Elsie and Daisy. I'm struggling with the boys, I like the old style names, working in a school does make it harder to find names I like!

@Boxsky hope you're appointment went well, I had mine last Friday. On countdown for my 20wk scan...3 weeks tomorrow!

I'm still having days where I don't feel pregnant and panicking a little bit. Is this normal? I actually 'forget' sometimes. I will be 18wks on Monday and thought I'd have a bit of a bump by now, instead I just look like I've put weight on.

CaptainSpirit · 22/04/2021 19:34

@Boxsky Hope your appointment went okay! Smile I had mine yesterday, it was only very quick. Alice is a lovely name!

@penguin7 Awh they're both cute names!
Sorry I forgot, is this your first baby? If so it's totally normal to still be quite small in the bump department! Also normal to not feel pregnant right now, this is like the golden time - not all sick and tired from the first trimester and not too big and achey from the third. Smile Hope you're not feeling too worried. ❤️

MyGrassIsBrowner · 22/04/2021 19:35

@CaptainSpirit pram shopping is exciting but stressful.. it's a total minefield 🙈 I did have a stokke xplory v6.. begged my DH for it when I had my DD. Got it, used it and HATED IT. Was the worst pram I've ever pushed 🤣 I'm now torn between the bugaboo Cam 3 plus and the fox 2 and I just cant decide. Annoyingly dont think anywhere local to me have them on display to try. It seems no pram places exist anymore at all.

Luna Elizabeth for a girl is really gorgeous!

@Boxsky Hope your appointment went really well today, do update us!

@penguin7 Elsie and Daisy are both lovely names too!
Boy names are bloody hard to decide on for some reason lol.

I dont feel pregnant right now, apart from my humongous tits causing me some real bad back issues. My belly is rounding slightly but as this is my 2nd I just feel like ive not lost the previous baby weight and anyone in the street would just think I'm packing 🤣 x

Boxsky · 22/04/2021 19:42

@MyGrassIsBrowner @CaptainSpirit @penguin7 appointment went well thank you! They've moved my EDD back in line with IVF, so I'm 16+5 now! And discussed having an induction so won't go later than due date (2/10) and got to hear her heartbeat again. I was worried as I've not put on any weight, but she wasn't concerned. I think we're pretty much set on Alice - we're testing it out calling her Alice to see how it feels. Elsie and Daisy are beautiful! I know what you mean @penguin7 about working in a school, makes it harder.

I'm so nervous about pram shopping! I think we're going next Saturday! X

Yes this is our first so I am overthinking everything, just want everything to be ok! We said we're going to write a list of what we need to buy after our 20wk scan. I have been having a browse at prams and other items online though. Hopefully lockdown will ease further soon and getting out to the shops will be something we can do with ease.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 23/04/2021 07:28

@Boxsky Glad your appointment went well!! Alice is a lovely name btw.

Don't be nervous about pram shopping! Just make sure you really get a good feel for the prams, get some demos done for you on how they fold etc as that was the main issue we found, some fold really nice and compact and others you would struggle to get in your boot plus a weeks shopping. But it's all about what will work for you and your lifestyle x

Boxsky · 23/04/2021 15:35

Had a bit of a scare this afternoon, my big dog (a boxsky if you cant guess from username!) escaped and I had to chase her and carry her home. Spent the next half hour crying cos she's 32kg and worrying that I would have hurt baby 🤦🏻‍♀️ stressful start to weekend!

@MyGrassIsBrowner my husband is looking forward to 'test driving' every single one out there lol x

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 23/04/2021 15:58

@Boxsky oh my god are you okay?! I'm sure everything is fine but can imagine that was a major fright!!! It's so funny cause with my DD I had exactly the same happen to me, my greyhound who coincidentally weighs 32kg as well! Escaped and I started chasing him down the street (baring in mind at this point I was 9 months pregnant) lady across the road shouted at me to stop being a daft cow and stop running 🤣🙈 dont know how I even thought I was going to manage catching a flipping greyhound with the worse recall in history 🙄🤣 oh and whilst 9 months preggo. Oh my the things us women go through lmfao! If you're worried at all though just give the midwife a call but I'm sure baby is well protected in there and wont have even noticed! X

Boxsky · 24/04/2021 13:12

@MyGrassIsBrowner these silly dogs hey! I went to bed super early and husband booked another scan to check today as I was really sore again and we were worried it made my Subchoronic bleed worse and midwives wouldn't see me until next week but luckily it didn't so I can relax! And she also hasn't grown a Willy in last couple of days 😂 17 weeks today. Can't believe it! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 24/04/2021 14:26

Tell me about it, literally dont know how I'm gonna cope when my DH is at work with one big daft dog, a nearly two year old and a newborn 🤣
I'm glad you got the all clear on the scan that's fantastic. Slightly envious you've got to see little bean again 😭 I dont feel pregnant at the moment apart from feeling so bloated after a meal, my belly is a bit bigger but I'm not rounding out like I did with my DD, hoping that'll happen in the next couple of months so I actually look pregnant not fat 🤣 I'm exactly a week behined you 16 weeks! How are you feeling other than sore after your ordeal? X

Boxsky · 24/04/2021 15:34

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh god, what a fun time you'll be having 😂😂😂 I know haha super lucky to see her again but unfortunate it was the result of a stressful situation!! She was wriggling round today, with legs behind her head so got a very clear view of she's definitely a girl!!! Haha I'm sure you will!!! Last couple of days, my belly is deffo starting so I'm sure yours will pop too! Feeling quite good, def getting RLP now and then and bit of sore back but not been sick in a while. Still enjoying a nap every now and then! How're you feeling? X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 24/04/2021 18:31

@Boxsky Yeah it could have been on better terms but at least you know little one is okay that's the main! Oooh that's lovely! I've got a gut feeling we're having a girl again this time. If I do and she's anything like my DD I'm gonna have double trouble 🤣
Aww so glad you're feeling better. My apetite is back now with a vengeance but I'm spotty as all hell. My hormones must be just haywire atm.
My back and pelvis is my main issue, never felt right after having my DD tbh. Must admit I'm eager for my 20 week scan now, haven't felt movement yet and I just want to know baba is okay as my 12 week scan was so fast and the sonographer didn't have much to say. I'm not sexist but the sonographers were male which I've never experienced before. But obviously they dont have the compassion or mutual understanding like us women do. X

Boxsky · 24/04/2021 18:35

@MyGrassIsBrowner two girls would be gorgeous! But, your gut instinct might be wrong - mine was!
I know what you mean about the breakouts, I've broken out on my back which I haven't in years. Have you found anything has helped? How long until your 20 weeks scan?
Totally agree about 12 weeks scan - my male sonographer changed my EDD despite IVF and my consultant was not happy. Took 5 measurements of baby and all different so he went with the smallest size? Didn't make sense. Sure baby is perfectly healthy! 16 weeks is still early, and you might feel something through the week as it's not your first - fingers crossed for you! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 24/04/2021 19:15

@Boxsky to be honest I thought girl with my first and was right but you do never know until it's confirmed lol! I paid for a nub/skull theory prediction to be done and it said girl but we'll see!
I've found sod all that helps, everything just seems to aggravate my skin. I have to use Simple products and I use a Simple moisturising face wash when I shower/bathe.
You can't really use anything with Salcylic acid in it when your pregnant so it doesn't leave you with much to choose from that actually really help minimise it.
My 20 week scan is 24th May - on my dads birthday lol. Bet that was frustrating being told you EDD was different.. god sake. Tbh all I saw the sonographer so was take a full measurement of the fetus, but I swear he missed part of the foot so I dont think he got a good overall measurement imo. Also quickly did the neck measurement then said nothing, so I asked him, is all well then? To which he grunted, I dont have any worries. Yeah cheers mate, that tells me a lot.
To be honest I had a much more thorough experience with my DD 12 week scan but I get that they probably have an influx of women to see at the moment. Doesn't help our mental state though!
Hoping I will feel something soon as I remember the utter relief when I finally felt a kick with my first. X

Boxsky · 24/04/2021 19:23

@MyGrassIsBrowner maybe you'll be having a little girl then 😂 all seems to be pointing that way! And they say girls affect your skin a bit more....! So aggravating isn't it. Maybe something to ask Midwife to see if they've any recommendations. I think mines 24th too!!! Totally frustrating felt like I had to redo 4/5 days which is nothing but every day counts in a countdown!!! Oh my gosh how frustrating is that!!!! It's such a big moment too, you want them to show you care and take the time to reassure you. Fingers crossed you have a better experience at 20w. Is your partner allowed to that scan with you? X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 24/04/2021 19:37

@Boxsky to be honest I've literally given up now. I've been in the garden the past few days soaking up the rays and they say the sun is supposed to be great for your skin, yet my skin looks worse!!! 🤣
Oooh that'll be lovely mine is at 11:15am what time is yours? I'm glad it's in the morning as I'll be nervous/exciteable wreck haha.
Partner is allowed at the scan this time thank god, is it the same at your hospital? Hopefully it'll be much more thorough and they will actually talk us through it all. Did you have the downs/edwards screening? My results were 1:15000.. i remember my DD being way higher though so that's been playing on my mind a bit. I'm sure all is well but you can never truly stop worrying when you're pregnant until you blumming give birth 🤣 and then you worry about bringing them up hahaha! It's a crazy wonderful journey though. X

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh god I hope your skin is improving even slightly! I think mine is in the morning too... maybe half 9? And yes hes allowed to come, which is amazing I'm so glad. I can't help but worry something is gonna come up at the scan and I'll need him there. Nope! Can never stop worrying, slowly learning that 😂 we went and had a little look at some pushchairs today which was more fun than I thought... but costly! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 29/04/2021 14:36

@Boxsky my skin is so awful it's really frustrating. I thought it would start getting better by now but if anything it seems to be getting worse, my hormones are haywire! When I've had this one I'm going go on the combi-pill and see if that will make a difference as I figure it's the only thing that might help if it's hormonal.

Oh trust me I'm kacking it too, I haven't felt any movement yet and I don't feel pregnant now which is a blumming worry. I'm sure everything is fine but it's hard not to think the worst 🤦🏻‍♀️
Did you get a feel for any pushchairs in particular? They are sooooo expensive new. X

Boxsky · 29/04/2021 18:51

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh god that's so upsetting isn't it. You just wanna feel that glow that everyone talks about! Yes, it might help! Deffo worth a try anyway.
I keep feeling a strange feeling every afternoon/evening in the same spot, but it can't be baby cos it won't be in same place every day 😂 I'm just overthinking every gas bubble now! It's so difficult isn't it. Are you getting a bump yet? I had a cry today cos my mum told me I look so skinny (never was skinny anyway!) and where's my baby hiding. I told her off!! Do you have midwife appointment soon?
I loved the Egg pushchair but it was so expensive in store. But found an Egg travel system on sale so put it on my credit card 😬 I love it though! Roll on October d

MyGrassIsBrowner · 30/04/2021 11:22

@Boxsky Oh tell me about it!
Aww nooooo what I shitty thing to say bloody hell. Someone always has to make a daft comment don't they! Take it with a pinch of salt though, you'll pop when your body is ready!
I'm 16+6 now, I just look fat right now tbh haha, but my belly is starting to round and I cant eat much on an evening as I get too bloated.

I see a lot of the egg prams about near me and I hear raving reviews about them so good choice! They look nice and sturdy which is what you want.
I'm so bloody torn with what pram to get, I really want a Bugaboo Fox 2 but even second hand they are out of my price range at the moment. Urgh.
I was looking at the icandy orange but it's quite a big pram and I'm after something a bit more compact. Just had to fork out for a new carseat for my DD as she's finally outgrown her newborn one lol. It's just constant bloody exspense 😂 to be honest I'm just glad I'm not forking out for formula anymore and she's now on cows milk, HURAAAH!
How are you feeling at the mo? X

Boxsky · 30/04/2021 15:16

@MyGrassIsBrowner literally someone always has to say something. There's a woman on insta who's due same day as me and she's cute bump and can feel baby... then there's me 😂
I'm so excited I love it so much! Have you looked on the Facebook marketplace? I've found loads of good stuff on there!! I didn't realise how expensive they were 🤦🏻‍♀️
Feeling ok! Def got the round ligament pain when I move awkwardly, but feeling good. Other than my wobbles about just looking podgy no bump and no movement! You!?

How's everyone else doing? X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 30/04/2021 16:04

@Boxsky Oh I got the "bloody hell are you having twins?" When I was 30 weeks last time, to say I ugly cried when I got home would be an understatement, and to make matters worse my bump wasn't even that big!!! People should just not comment on pregnant women full stop, our hormones are raging and we words cut deep.

I use Marketplace most of the time these days, I've bought some amaaaazing stuff on there for super cheap! My living/dining room is pretty much all marketplace. Me and DH found a guy selling the contents of his house as he was re-locating to Australia, his wife was an interior designer so all the furniture is bespoke, a leather corner sofa, dining table and 6 chairs, two handcarved oak sideboards and two massive lamps that sit beautifully on top of them. I honestly feel so posh and I've had so many compliments! People think we're rich and we're far from it hahaha!!

You poor thing, the only thing that helps is to keep moving annoyingly but also rest when you can. I've done way too much the past few days and I'm paying for it now.
I also wondered how everyone else is doing x

Boxsky · 01/05/2021 16:53

@MyGrassIsBrowner oh crickey we can never win can we and people always say things to worry us!! Like we don't have enough to think about!
Amazing! Love a bargain! I'm always looking on Emma's diary and Bounty at their bargains!
Today I feel achey like I pulled a muscle at the top of my 'bump' right up by bottom of my ribs. Hoping this is a sign my bump is going to POP soon... happy 17 weeks lovely xx
