@mygrassisbrowner yeah I developed sepsis so had to have him induced before we both died. Will need to get me some spritz for bitz for this time, what a name hahaah!

@bertieboo88 welcome!!! Have you already had the 12 week scan too?

MyGrassIsBrowner · 01/04/2021 17:44

@Cpr12 can I ask how far along you were? That's devestating I cant even begin to fathom how difficult that was to go through.
Oh honestly it's truly amazing stuff!! I got a bottle off eBay but I'm fairly sure Boots sell it x

Cpr12 · 01/04/2021 17:55

@mygrassisbrowner I was just over 19 weeks when I gave birth. He was the tiniest little toot! Perfect in every way, but it wasnt meant to be. Honestly though, I had a great experience of a horrid situation I was so well looked after in the hospital by the midwifes. I think in a way it would be harder earlier as you kind of get dismissed. My baby had a funeral and everything, I got a hell of a lot more than most people ever do. Which is actually why everyone already knows I am pregnant. I do not believe in waiting as all babies should be remembered and loved, it is such a huge part of the process. Anyhoo, off my soap box now 😊

Jl2020 · 01/04/2021 17:57

@MyGrassIsBrowner that's good to know that you do forget about all the pain 😂 I imagine being handed your baby takes away all the pain you've just been through and like you said the adrenaline must be so high at that point!

@Cpr12 I'm so sorry you had to go through that, can't even imagine how awful that must have been! 💕
Maybe we are genetically made to forget about the pain to make us want to go through it again!

I will definitely be investing in spritz for bits and I love the name of it lol simple and to the point! x

MyGrassIsBrowner · 01/04/2021 17:58

@Cpr12 oh how blumming awful but I'm so glad he got the send off he deserved. I've never experiences MC but I know some female family members who have 2nd time around (my mum being one) and I must admit I've been petrified it would happen to me but so far this little bean is sticking around.
Speak soon lovely! I need to feed my DD she's getting cranky, lol! X

MyGrassIsBrowner · 01/04/2021 18:01

@Jl2020 it's honestly the most incredible experience. They're worth every single bit of pain. Wait til you bring them home.. all you do is gawk at them constantly for the first few days 😊 you just cant get over that you've produced such a little beauty.
Haha it's a pretty epic name isn't it lol but it's such good stuff I will be buying another bottle 😜

Jessica86Shropshire · 02/04/2021 13:09

I have my NHS 12 week scan on Monday and wondered if any of you who have had it already had the combined test? And if so how long the combined test results took to come back to you and how you were sent them?

Cpr12 · 02/04/2021 13:44

@jessica86shropshire past time round they took a full 2 weeks, they came in the post. They do say they would call sooner if there is an issue though.

Good luck at your scan!! Mine is on Wednesday! So excited but nervous at the same time!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 14:37

@Jessica86Shropshire I had the combined test and I think I recall it taking a couple of weeks for the letter to come through if you're low risk. If you're high risk they call you instead. X

Jessica86Shropshire · 02/04/2021 14:40

Thank you so much @Cpr12 and @MyGrassIsBrowner ... there's so much I don't know!

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 02/04/2021 14:57

Hi ladies just catching up @Cpr12 am so sorry to hear about your wee boy, that must have been horrific!can't imagine what you went throughFlowers💖..
@MyGrassIsBrowner I totally agree with quickest pain forgot! absolutely !! Although I was really lucky and did feel my 2nd degree tear when she was being born not sure if because I had a 2nd degree tear first baby or if I was just to busy in my zone 😅😂 and yes spritz for bits is amazing!! Also cool witch Hazel pads for your undies omg life saver Trust me cools poor Betty and helps her faster too🤣🤣.

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 02/04/2021 14:58

Didn't feel it even 🙈🤣 not sure feeling a 2nd degree would be considered luck!! 😂

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 02/04/2021 15:00

Heal faster . chucks phone in the bin

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 15:09

@Jessica86Shropshire you'll start picking things up in no time I promise you! I swear the amount of research and reading I did on giving birth I feel like I could do a midwifery course 🤣
@sargeantsaltnpepper89 it was afterwards that was the most painful for me.. took me months to be able to sit down without wincing 🤣 I wont even start on that postpartum poo.. oh my it was horrific I was constipated for a week. Ended up having to manually remove myself... appauling 🤣🤣

Missreginafalange · 02/04/2021 15:10

@Jessica86Shropshire

I have my NHS 12 week scan on Monday and wondered if any of you who have had it already had the combined test? And if so how long the combined test results took to come back to you and how you were sent them?

I was told 3-4 working days.

If an issue would call sooner.

Cpr12 · 02/04/2021 15:15

@jessica86shropshire you and me both! I have no idea about most of it! We will learn along the way! Lots of help here too!

Just bought the first few bits for baby! Has anyone else bought things yet?

Also, anyone else got a massive belly already, I am 12 weeks tomorrow but am the size I was at 18 weeks last time round 🙈 I actually dont mind how much I put on, but just wondering if this is normal haha!

Cpr12 · 02/04/2021 15:17

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 thank you, certain he is making sure this time goes well 🖤

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 15:25

@Cpr12 I had a bigger belly after my first and I'm now a size 16-18 (used to be thin as a pin) 😭 I'm just embracing the curves now but I look like I've had a belly busting meal rather than pregnant at the moment 🤣

Melody27 · 02/04/2021 15:49

Hi ladies, Currently 10 weeks and 3 days. Looking forward to my 12 week scan 2 weeks today but very nervous about needles for the combined tests which I know is so silly but I’m absolutely terrible with them and nearly passed out with my booking in bloods. Does anyone know how much blood they take? I was so shocked with the 6 vials at booking in, I’d prefer to know!! Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 16:05

@Melody27 Hey hunnie welcome and congrats!!!
Oh my god 6 vials at your booking apt? That's mad!! They've only ever took three from me. And the screening they take one! X

Melody27 · 02/04/2021 16:17

@MyGrassIsBrowner thanks so much 😊 hoping after the scan I’ll stop being so anxious About it going wrong. Oh god, why did they take 6 from me?!! I was fine for the first couple then the panic took over so one should be fine!! Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 16:23

@Melody27 I'm shocked they took 6 from you, I mean I guess it could depend on the hospital but it seems a little excessive but then again I guess it's better than not having enough eh? 🤣
It aint great having bloods taken but make sure you drink plenty and try and focus your mind on something else. I'm a bit of a weirdo and love watching mine being taken haha! X

Jl2020 · 02/04/2021 16:25

Hi ladies,

Had my booking in appointment today over the phone.. so many questions! and got to go for blood tests, weight and blood pressure check on Sunday, absolutely hate needles so dreading It tbh especially now iv just read through these comments about how much they take lol. Always get freaked out about blood tests incase you get bad news about something too.

I'm 10 weeks and 2 days and my belly is definitely not as flat as it was, I don't feel bloated at all but surely you don't show at 10 weeks?! I think iv just put weight on from eating so much 😂

BertieBoo88 · 02/04/2021 16:25

Yeah I had my 12 week scan on Monday.
How is everyone feeling? I was hoping at nearly 14 weeks the sickness would be easing but no such luck Sad making me seriously depressed to be honest. Can't enjoy the pregnancy at all.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 02/04/2021 16:26

@Melody27 have you looked at getting a private early scan? I know they can be somewhat expensive but if you're absolutely worried and want a bit of reassurance they're worth it. I had an early scan this time round but only because my DH wasn't allowed at my 12 week scan 😩 x
