Got my screening results back from Monday's scan and showing as low risk for the screenings so I am relieved 😌 all seems to be going okay with baby so far!

Next appointment is on Tuesday when I have to see the consultant due to my BMI which I don't feel great about but it is what it is. I guess they do these appointments a lot so it won't be a big deal to them. Just hope they're not horrible, ha.

Cpr12 · 29/04/2021 19:42

@kona84 I was meditating last night and was sure I felt baby move. It was like bubbles popping in my belly. Just felt it once, but sure that was it! Never felt it before, felt amazing!

@pixiedust21 great news on nt results! Mine were not amazing, 1 in 5600 but pretty much the same as last time and all was fine so not worried! And dont worry about tuesdays appointment, and if they are rude screw them!

Juicytoot287 · 30/04/2021 06:15

Good Morning everyone,

When is it likely for bloating to stop. I honestly look like I am showing every afternoom but every morning it just seems to be gone. Sounds silly but I really want my bump as with the symptoms gone I just don't feel pregnant! I am a normal weight and only 5 foot 3, so i thought I would show soon?

rtz22 · 30/04/2021 09:02

Hi guys !! I was wondering how all the October ladies were doing, last time I was on here the 1st T was really playing games with us 🤣. I just saw this thread and recognised a few usernames 😊. Hope everyone is feeling good ! I'm just shy of 16 weeks now, bump is popping in the last week. I came on to see if anyone has any good maternity jeans suggestions.. ones that dont actually fall down! Lovely to see the scans! Can't believe how quickly time is passing, so exciting 🥰

rtz22 · 30/04/2021 09:08

@juicytoot287 I am the exact same, in the evenings after eating I look huge. Its hard to tell how much is bump, bloat or my lockdown body! I dont know if bloat will ease ... how far along are you? At 14 weeks I was wondering where on earth is this bump but literally in the space of a week it suddenly arrived. I think maternity clothes shape it better as well, I was living in trackies for ages and I think it disguised it 🤔

Cpr12 · 30/04/2021 10:39

@juicytoot287 first time round I was about 17 weeks when it just turned from bloat to bump. And yes so much bigger at night and cant eat nearly as much as at night there is just no room in there haha!

@rtz22 I have asked a lot of friends on the jeans thing and not sure they exist, they all just seem to fall down. Everyone told me leggings, dungarees or dresses are the only options. Tempted to buy a couple of pairs of dungarees.

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 30/04/2021 13:16

Hey ladies how are we all ? Well I hope!! Starting to much better myself but my youngest and husband seem to have a wee sickness bug so I'm hoping that doesn't decide to catch me 😂.. in regards to bumps I'm currently sporting a flabby bum tum still left over from my youngest so have the weirdest little bump shape at the moment I don't usually show till quite late with both my other children I was a go 6-7months before I had a bump so hoping my bump pops out soon as I'm not going to lie im not loving the lardy pouch I have going on at the mo🙈😅 best maternity jeans i always found were topshop (not sure how that works now though) next had a good range also ... and if you budget conscious (what with growing etc and buy clothes alot ) as much as I hate fast fashion boohoo actually have an ok range in maternity clothes if you looking for the trend pieces so do newlook, I tend to get the basic in maternity and the rest in normal sizing but must especially with summer coming I will 100%be investing in dresses this time as opposed to jeans. X

Rmka · 30/04/2021 13:37

Hi everyone, nice to mee you.
I'm also pregnant with an October baby. My first trimester was tough, but now I feel so much better, almost like myself again. I'm trying to enjoy it as I know it won't last.
I'm still waiting before buying maternity clothes, but like you have a problem with jeans. I'm wearing mainly leggings and hope they will be ok for few more weeks.
I am also struggling with bras, I have only one that fits but I'm afraid soon I'll need a bigger size so I don't want to buy more yet. Most days I wear no bra - WFH so that helps.

Garman · 30/04/2021 13:42

H&m maternity jeggings and jeans I always found good.

The evening bloat/bump is because we retain water as the day goes on, everyone is heavier in the evening so when pregnant it makes the bloat or bump more prominent and it eases again by morning.

I'm 14 weeks, no bump, no bloat, but I don't usually show until 25-30 weeks so am expecting the same again. Still in my normal jeans just about, excess weight is more to do with not being allowed to do any exercise due to a haemotoma rather than any bump!

shivawn · 30/04/2021 15:18

18 weeks today with my first, no sign of a bump yet which I'm totally fine about and I'm wearing all my normal clothes.

Only started telling people I'm pregnant in the last week or so, it makes it feel more real now that its not a secret anymore!

Juicytoot287 · 30/04/2021 19:26

That's reassuring, although bloat or bump - everything is tight and i look pregnant lol. People are starting to comment 🙈😂

Kona84 · 30/04/2021 21:18

I’m coming up to 16weeks and I can’t really see a bump but my partner thinks he can.
Like you it’s bigger on an evening.

I have a few pairs of mother care maternity jeans (got them in the closing down sale last time is was pregnant) some are just a band that sits under bump- these fall down a bit.
Others are over the bump but I’m not big enough to know how they hold up yet.

I bought a pair of maternity leggings from boohoo £12 and they are comfy to wear all day wfh.

I too am on my last fitting bra but starting to get the double boob so really need to buy some more but not sure which to get. And worried they’ll just get too small anyway.

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing now? Hope everyone that was struggling with sickness is feeling better now 🥰 has anyone further along had any gender scans yet? I'm just being nosey 😂 xx

pixiedust21 · 07/05/2021 10:36

My sickness is easing up definitely (now 15 weeks) but still having little waves of nausea and still not loving all food.... otherwise.... doing ok....feel like time is going slow for me at the moment but at the same time our 20 week scan is 11th June which mentally doesn't feel that far!!

So I ended up doing some internet sleuthing and actually sent my 13 week scan pic to Early Glimpse and Nub Techs (service where you pay approx £10 to get them to analyse the scan and give a gender guess....) I think I was just getting so impatient and curious Blush

I've been convinced I'm having a little boy and they both came back saying 85% sure it's a girl.... so.... it's just fun really (though obviously I still don't know for sure) and look forward to hopefully confirming in a few weeks :)

lilomum · 07/05/2021 11:28

Glad to hear sickness is easing.
I had no sickness in the first trimester but have been feeling quite ill all week. Digestion problems, vomiting etc.
I had a scan and am absolutely over the moon to be expecting a little girl! So delighted about it. 😍😍😍 the scan itself was so much fun, baby girl was bouncing around and it was just lovely to see. Nice boost

pixiedust21 · 07/05/2021 11:31

@lilomum ah that's lovely news congratulations on your bouncy baby girl!

Jl2020 · 07/05/2021 11:43

@pixiedust21 so glad you're feeling better and hopefully your appetite will increase as the weeks go on! Aww maybe it will be a little girl 🥰 well I'm convinced I'm having a boy but since announcing my pregnancy everyone is telling me they think it's a girl because of the nub although that's only friends and family who have analysed their own scan pics in the past lol. I'm going to book an early gender scan for about two weeks time as I can't wait until the 20 week scan to see baby again I'm too impatient!

@lilomum I hope you start to feel better soon 🤞🏼 how exciting to be having a baby girl, congratulations🥰💗 so nice to see them moving around on the scans isn't it! I went for my second scan on Wednesday and baby was sleeping sucking it's thumb so I had to do a lot of moving around to wake it up 😆

lilomum · 07/05/2021 11:50

@Jl2020 Aw that's lovely. They said to us to drink a glass of cold water 20mins before the scan as that tends to make the baby active. We probably didn't even need that - it was nearly at the point that it was hard to see what's happening as she moved so quickly! Still, absolutely brilliant to see. Can't wait for the next scan in a month.

Rmka · 07/05/2021 11:58

Congratulations on your baby girl!
I have my scan in three weeks, I can't wait.
Is anyone feeling the movements? It's my first so I'm not sure, but sometimes I feel some bubbles that seem different to bowel ones. But maybe I just really want to feel something :)

Jl2020 · 07/05/2021 12:46

@lilomum I actually felt bad having to wake it 😂 but I will try the cold water too next time I have a scan. Aww Atleast you know you've got an active little bubba in there and I'm sure you will be feeling all that movement soon too if you aren't already lol.

@Rmka I guess the bubbles could be movement 🥰 haven't felt any movement yet but I'm only 14 weeks and it's my first so not really sure when to expect to feel something

Missreginafalange · 07/05/2021 13:22

@Jl2020

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing now? Hope everyone that was struggling with sickness is feeling better now 🥰 has anyone further along had any gender scans yet? I'm just being nosey 😂 xx
With the NIPT test I had done they did gender as well and I'm having another Boy. Although not telling people until after 20 week scan on 26 May as waiting for confirmation Grin
Cpr12 · 07/05/2021 14:10

@lilomum @missreginafalange congrats to you both!

I don’t know sex yet, got my scan 2 weeks on Tuesday so will see then 😍

Just spent the morning at triage after a slight bleed just before my routine midwife appointment. She sent me up to triage as she was worried given my history. All seems good though but hard not to be in a panic just now. But still feeling positive about it all! Was hoping this would be a no drama pregnancy as well haha!

pixiedust21 · 07/05/2021 14:13

Is anyone else super super tired? Not sure if it's because I'm still not eating well due to food aversions but I'm just exhausted a lot of the time.

Still waiting for this magical second trimester energy boost!!

lilomum · 07/05/2021 14:24

@Jl2020 not feeling anything just yet I don't think. I thought a couple of times that might be baby movements but it's very rare and random so it's probably something else!

Jl2020 · 07/05/2021 15:44

@Cpr12 aww not long to wait now😍

Glad everything is ok and you're still feeling positive 💗

I still feel exhausted too @pixiedust21 not every day but definitely some days more than others but I am also struggling with my sleep I seem to wake up at 3am every night and can't get back to sleep until about 6 and then i have to be up for work at 7 it's a killer 😴
