@jl2020 I know what you mean, pregnancy is hard after loss. I am not sure I will ever really be comfortable during this one. Hopefully all will be totally fine. Have you ever tried affirmations, write down lots of positive things about it in the present tense, ie 'I am glad everything went perfectly at my scan' I am a firm believer in this, although I know not everyones cup of tea! And yes I am still worried, but when I worry I repeat mine to shake me out of it 😊 it defo helps.

mooloop · 19/04/2021 20:33

Wow so many messages to catch up on! Glad to hear your scan is booked @Juicytoot287, not long to wait now

Aww @Cpr12 it must be so hard after a loss, I'm so sorry for what you've been through. I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow 🤞🏻🍀❤️

Ive found a baby Bjorn bouncer on FB marketplace in perfect condition (being sold by my brother's friend, randomly) for £50 after reading about them supposedly being amazing. They're about £180+ new 🤯 I liked the idea of them anyway, especially with how flat they fold down, so even though it's still quite early I figured why not go for it since I've found a second hand one. If baby hates it I can probably sell it on for a good price anyway Grin

mooloop · 19/04/2021 20:35

Oops I meant to tag @Jl2020 in my last post, sorry @Cpr12! Got the messages muddled up. Although I hope your appointment goes perfectly too 🥰

Jl2020 · 19/04/2021 20:57

@Cpr12 it is so much harder after loss isn't it! that's not something iv ever tried before but it does sound like a good idea to try and stay a bit more positive and I'm willing to try anything to see if it helps xx

@mooloop thankyou I will keep you all updated with how it goes anyway! The baby bjorn bouncer definitely sounds like a bargain and worth getting at that price :) xx

Juicytoot287 · 20/04/2021 06:20

Thank you ladies, finally have the date after weeks of waiting lol, bit of a relief to say the least. can't even think where to start buying baby bits so that is waiting lol, too overwhelming haha

@Jl2020 it can be the quick ones just have to be done at a centre to get the text, bit annoying as I am a teacher so have loads anyway at home. Struggling to find a centre in the county open later at the moment so may have to go hospital early and have one there which is annoying but oh well! Just glad he can be there to be honest, such a comfort.
Try not to beat yourself up for wednesday, being worried is so normal even without a loss before hand and all your feelings are normal and valid. Having everything crossed for you and we may keep the same due date after this week lol!

Cpr12 · 20/04/2021 16:33

@jl2020 it keeps me focused on positive outcomes! It is a manifestation technique but feel it works well just for general happiness.

So had my appointment today and it went really well. I got a scan so got to see little one again too! I honestly though I was going to have to fight to get the care I want but they were totally on the ball. Feeling very lucky 😍

How is everyone else doing today?

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 20/04/2021 17:02

@Cpr12 that great that they are looking after you lovely 💕and rightly so.
Am feeling not to bad sickness wise definitely seems to be shifting but holy smokes have I been tired today!!🙈😂.
Not sure if its because baby is maybe having a growth spurt or if its because my youngest has been rather rambunctious today😆🙈 most likely the latter but jesus Mary and Joseph i could quite happily abandon shop and jump into bed 😂😂 might just do so and let hubby get on with it 🤣. X

Cpr12 · 20/04/2021 17:15

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 do it! You have been awake for enough of today! And thank you, I have had some excellent care so far 😊

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 20/04/2021 17:34

@Cpr12 😂😂 I wish !! Besides my belly is winning this fight can smell hubby cooking in the kitchen and its grumbling more by the minute... im honestly absolutely starving all the time🙈🤤 has anyone else been feeling this way? Honestly my eldest came home from school with packet of crisps it took all my maternal love for her not to snatch them off her !🤣 how u feeling now anyway x

mooloop · 20/04/2021 17:55

Aww glad it went well @Cpr12!

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 omg I cannot stop eating too!! Baby is going to turn into a crisp I think 🙈 now that the sickness is improving I really need to think of some healthy snacks for work instead of grazing on rubbish all the time or I'll be the size of a house come October!

mooloop · 20/04/2021 17:57

Oh also - I've had lower back ache quite often lately, does anybody else get it? Google says it's normal but I get paranoid about it and thought it would happen later on.

Jl2020 · 20/04/2021 18:15

@Juicytoot287 that is annoying considering you could just do the test yourself and show them the result rather than going to get it done and receiving a text. I'm glad your partner can be there with you though, much nicer than having to go alone!
Thankyou and yes we may have the same due date 😍

@Cpr12 aww that's so good you are getting looked after properly, so much nicer for you than having to constantly chase it or ask for it! I done some positive affirmations this morning and I actually did feel a bit better for it so thankyou for that tip💜

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 I'm with you on the constant hunger, always starving 😂

Cpr12 · 20/04/2021 18:45

I am kind of the opposite on eating, it is like I have had a gastric band put in, cant eat nearly as much as normal! If I do eat when I feel like it, I am sick or I get a really tight tummy. Does anyone else get this?

@mooloop yes on the back pain! And randomly down the front of my pelvis.

@jl2020 so glad it worked for you and only a couple of days to go!!

Juicytoot287 · 20/04/2021 19:54

back pain!

My tail bone or coccyx is super painful after a day of work. I have a proper support pillow now for my desk chair in hope it helps but glad I am not alone.

mooloop · 20/04/2021 20:01

Oh I'm relieved there's some others in the same boat Smile I think I'm gonna take a cushion to work tomorrow to see if that helps a bit!

Jl2020 · 21/04/2021 08:52

Morning ladies, Iv woke up feeling so sick and anxious today just want to get the scan over and done with now.

Not sure if this is pregnancy related at all but does anybody else wake up in the night with dead hands? 😂 I don't know if I'm sleeping in a weird position or what but every night at some point I wake up and my hands are just dead, it's so random lol

How is everyone today? Xx

Cpr12 · 21/04/2021 11:33

@jl2020 yes! I get dead hands and feet! Drives me mad! Asked the midwife about it at my booking appointment at 8 weeks she didnt seem bothered. And hang in there, only 2 days to go! Are you an early appointment? Xx

Missreginafalange · 21/04/2021 11:48

@Jl2020 the wait for scan is the worse, it will be here before you know it, are you in the morning? I keep thinking about my 20 week scan but have 4 weeks to wait grrrrr

Also I get numb and puffy hands, did last pregnancy and it's just started again. Midwife not bothered, bet she would be if it was her hands Grin

Jl2020 · 21/04/2021 12:13

@Cpr12 @Missreginafalange the numb hands is so weird isn't it it doesn't make any sense! I mentioned it to my midwife today whilst getting my bloods done and she didn't seem bothered either lol.

My scan was this morning at 11. So relieved it all went well and saw baby moving and it's little heart beating away! Measuring 12 weeks so a week behind what I should be with last missed period but I had been expecting that as was sure I ovulated a little late. New due date is 5th November but I'm staying in this group with you all😂 xx

mooloop · 21/04/2021 12:21

Awww yay amazing @Jl2020! I'm due 30th October so will probably have a Nov baby too haha Grin

Missreginafalange · 21/04/2021 13:50

@Jl2020 ahhh so glad you've had the scan and got to see bubba on the screen!! Smile

Cpr12 · 21/04/2021 14:31

@jl2020 wonderful news! So happy for you! And yeah, stay here only a few days out haha!

Jl2020 · 21/04/2021 14:53

Thanks girls❤️ Feel more relieved now.. until the next scan 🤣 I have to go back for one In a couple of weeks because even though she said everything looks great she is very thorough and would like to go over the anatomy again when there is a bit more to look at.

So strange seeing your baby moving around thinking that's actually inside me 😂 xx

anon5555 · 22/04/2021 07:39

Hello, do you girls have a Facebook group yet? My friend is due in October but doesn’t have MumsNet, so I was wondering if I could have the Facebook group if possible.

lilomum · 22/04/2021 08:37

Have you told your employer about your pregnancy? I haven't yet and am trying to find the right time. I'm in a senior position leading a large team and I worry quite a lot about what will happen in the long run. Whether I'll be able to pick back up where I left off or whether things move on so much that "I'm out of the game" by the time I return. I have so much anxiety around this, then guilt about the anxiety as I've been wanting a baby for so long and it's finally happening and I should feel nothing but happiness. Sorry, bit of a ramble but my thoughts are all over the place at the moment.
