Hiya ladies and hello new lovelies! Hope you're all well!! I'm still waiting for my blood test results to come through and it's making me increasingly anxious now, although I guess no news is good news as they say. I had a missed call on my phone yesterday and my heart sunk thinking it might have been the midwife but it turned out it was bloody spam 🙄

@MustStopSnacking28 so sorry about your results hunnie, try not to worry (easier said than done I know) you hear of some many people who have the NIPT and it turns out absolutely fine and all the worrying was for nothing!! Good luck 🤞💖

Hopefully in a couple of weeks everything will be much less stressful once all the results are through for everyone. I could not believe how efficient the bloods were for me. I had a letter 2 days after mine with my Risk scores that means they must have interpreted it and posted it the next day! Hope yours arrive ASAP!

Fingers crossed the NIPT is more positive!

Meanwhile, i still do not have scan date let alone any bloods done.. getting fed up now. 12 weeks soon and not a date when I know plenty of people 6 weeks or so with one already - probably hormonal and being a bitch now haha just want to see the bean and know it is ok.

@Juicytoot287 have you spoke by your midwife to see if she can speed things up?

@Juicytoot287 yeah I'd get back in touch with your midwives and push it, there's no bloody excuse. I had a bit of a run in with the receptionist at the scan department as she tried telling me they had no appointments available for when I needed my 12 week scan, so I said well it's paramount you do find me an appointnent because I want the screening as well, love. My letter came through the next day 1st class 🤣

Well my midwife said it is just the situation at the moment as they have so many and are working sundays to make up for it. I mean it is all well and good but that doesnt help me lol. They say they don't want us anxious but not giving us a date is a sure way to cause some lol! Even if it was at 13 weeks gone, i just would want to know 😤

Loving everyone’s scan pictures, mine’s Friday and feeling so nervous. We had an early scan privately at 7weeks and all was well I just feel so nervous it’ll be bad news. How does everyone remain so positive?!x

Love seeing all the scans. Mine is tomorrow after what felt like an eternity since the 7w scan. @Melody27, I kept thinking "no cramping, no bleeding, no reason to believe there's anything bad going on". I did at several points consider a private scan in between but my husband convinced me not to. Ultimately, the scans don't change the outcome - they just show it to you. I kept reminding myself that even if I see I'm measuring behind or anything else that may be worrying, no doctor could do anything to prevent a MC if something was wrong with the baby at this early stage. Fingers crossed for everyone that's still waiting for their scan. I'm counting down the hours now

@Jl2020 tell me about it. I am calling hospital tomorrow and going to apply some friendly pressure! Let you know how i get on but I advise doing the same :) Can't wait to be 12 weeks though finally - at the same time lol!

@Juicytoot287 I think I'm going to do the same, just to remind them I am still waiting. Even just knowing a date would be nice lol I'm sure we are the only ones that don't even have that yet. Will definitely be good to get to 12 weeks though! Only a couple of days left for us :)

Hey ladies hope we're all keeping well, have been quiet of late as I've had the most horrific toothache recently 😩 having to have dental work done whilst having morning sickness is NOT something I'd recommend 🙈😅 pain free now though so can't complain but morning sickness seems to have ramped up a notch the last couple of days 🙃 thought it was away last week but seems it may have just wishful thinking on my part 😂😂 in other new have my scan in Friday so focusing on this to get me through atm!! To the ladies with small children how are we coping i literally feel like the walk dead most days 🤢🙈 was fab for the most of first trimester but now its like a bus has hit me 😅 @Juicytoot287 @Jl2020 if you haven't had your booking blood work done I'd give your midwives a wee call and remind them that these are meant to be carried out before 10 weeks x

Thanks @Jl2020. Not having a date at all would worry me too. I think if you want testing done they have to do that before a certain week so they should really make space for that. Fingers crossed you get something booked in soon!

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 oh lovely I'm so sorry you're suffering. It's bad enough just dealing with the sickness but toothache on top of that.. that's horrific! 😭 I hope you've got some relief now though you poor thing.
And as for running around after a toddler.. it's hard haha. I feel a bit guilty as I've barely given thought to my little bean in there as all my focus is on my DD who is now crawling and I need eyes in the back of my head! 🤣 x

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 oh that sounds awful toothache is horrendous but like you said dental work with morning sickness does not sound ideal, I had a couple of days nausea where even brushing my teeth was bad 😂 Glad you are feeling better though and hopefully the morning sickness eases up again soon 🤞🏼 good luck for your scan on Friday 💕
Like you and @lilomum have said blood work should have been done by now but I haven't had any done yet as was going to have it done last weekend when I had my booking appointment with midwife but she decided to leave it until I have my scan. Hopefully will get a date within the next couple of days but definitely going to chase it tomorrow x

Thank you ladies thankfully feeling so much better dentist has done some temporary work which seems to have stopped the nerve pain I was getting but have to go back in 3 weeks so she can finish the rest think 2 pregnancies close together and breastfeeding hasn't help my poor tooth 😅😂 was annoyed by it all as I'm very particular with my teeth and take alot of pride in them but apparently this doesn't matter as pregnancy gives no shts for your teeth and ravishes them anyway 🙈😂 @MyGrassIsBrowner* i feel you sister !! My 15 month old is like a bag of snakes just now literally doesn't not stop from eyes open till bed time😂😂 poor DH once kids are in bed is like u fancy watching something and if I haven't passed out in a heap already I just laugh at him "really" 😅 can't remember last time I was awake past half 9 🙊x

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 Yeah apparently it's the extra acidity in your saliva that causes tooth issues in pregnancy, I'm like you take real pride in my teeth but touch wood havent had any issues with mine yet but I still haven't got a dentist, I should really as we get it free anyway dont we? Do we get the treatments free with our exemption certificates i.e fillings etc?

Oh tell me about it!! My poor DH is the same, and the poor sod is the most patient fella I know as I literally dont remember the last time we had sex 🤣 x

@MyGrassIsBrowner I know I my case having horrific HG in my last two pregnancies haven't helped 😔 the amount I was sick with my youngest was unreal!! So definitely has done its magic there 🙈 tbh I'm the same usually poor hubby cant keep me off him but I'd quite literally stab his eye balls out if he so much as glanced at me in that way 😂😂 few times he commented "oh god you must feel sick"🙈😅 hopefully we feel better soon for their sake 🤣x

@sargeantsaltnpepper89 that tends to be the main reason for it is the sickness, it's awful so I really feel for you. I'm feeling okay now but I try to take each day easy, well as easy as you can with a toddler lol. I'm a SAHM so I'm lucky in that I dont have work to worry about on top of all that, so I honestly take my hat off to you ladies who are working as well.
Same here, usually cant keep my hands off DH but the poor fella has had nothing from me for weeks 🙈 seems sex for us these days are for pro-creation only lmfao! X

Hopefully it eases soon i just keep reminding myself that it's nowhere near the same level as last so that's giving me somewhat comfort 😅 yeah it definitely feels that way, I've told DH to get the snip once baby is here so would be cruel to not let him have some fun after 😅 could imagine his face if I said sorry don't need it now 😄.. im hoping now nearly 13 weeks i will start to feel back to normal food aversion have calmed down which is great but am always hungry now so unless am always eating it makes me feel sick 🙈you honestly can't win 😂😂x

Thats how my sickness was this time round, if I didn't eat I would feel vile, but I couldn't stomach anything.. you literally can't win! Ha x

So called the hospital and still not booked in, 12 weeks on Wednesday and horrendously fed up. Said they are still waiting on more available dates from the sonographers now - going to book a private scan for wednesday evening as I don't expect a scan to be soon and just want piece of mind.
