Aww @MustStopSnacking28 good luck for tomorrow! I'm really nervous for mine on Monday too.

Cpr12 · 08/04/2021 15:08

@muststopsnacking28 good luck!!! Hopefully all will be fine! I think the most helpful thing for me has been thinking it is a new pregnancy in no way related to the past! Everything crossed for you, let us know how you go! Excited to see your wee one 😍 xx

@mooloop not long to go!! Nerves are so normal! It all feels so unreal until you see them on the screen!

Jl2020 · 08/04/2021 16:09

@MustStopSnacking28 good luck for tomorrow and I hope everything goes ok! 💕 I know how you feel I'm dreading having my first scan after an mmc last year but also looking forward to it at the same time. We just have to try stay positive and like @Cpr12 said it's a new pregnancy and not related to the past at all xx

MustStopSnacking28 · 08/04/2021 16:37

Thank you ladies you’re right, that’s a good way to think of it @Cpr12. Lots of luck for yours next week too @mooloop!

nevergiveuptrying · 08/04/2021 20:20

Hi ladies, I just want to say I had my 12-week and it went well. Still waiting for the blood result. Anyone get their blood result back already? I wonder how long would it take...

Congratulations on those had successful scan and good luck on those upcoming scans!!

Jelliestogether · 08/04/2021 22:59

@nevergiveuptrying I think it took about a week last time if I remember correctly. Glad your scan went well

Cpr12 · 09/04/2021 08:38

@nevergiveuptrying I was told they will call within a week if it is high risk, but for low risk it can take up to two weeks to get the letter. I believe last time it took almost 3 weeks for me to get my letter though. Great news your scan went well, congrats! Xx

nevergiveuptrying · 09/04/2021 08:39

@Jelliestogether, thank you!! When is upcoming scan this time? Good luck!!

nevergiveuptrying · 09/04/2021 08:45

@Cpr12 thanks you!! So no news is good news then!! Good luck on your scan too!!!

Jelliestogether · 09/04/2021 08:48

@nevergiveuptrying got a scan today due to my fall last weekend, but my proper 12 week scan is next week! So basically today is just a sneak peak and hope everything is looking OK!!

Nattie1983 · 09/04/2021 09:43

@nevergiveuptrying honestly though you'd think how long does it take to make a quick phone call to say ' everything's fine?!' Save on paper too!! Grin
Got my dating scan next Friday.... literally counting the days and minutes at the moment! We found out I was pregnant at 12 dpo so it's been aaaaaaaages now and I just want to be able to talk freely hahaha

Cpr12 · 09/04/2021 09:47

@nevergiveuptrying @nattie1983 I had my scan on wednesday and asked how long it would take to remind myself. She says the reason it takes so long to get the letter is they send the blood to be checked, the blood people then send a letter to the midwifes, then the midwife has to send a letter back to the blood people who release the letter to us, I mean come on! Surely a call is easier haha! So it isnt even just 1 letter, it is 4 haha!

@jelliestogether good luck today!! It is the best thing seeing them!

Jelliestogether · 09/04/2021 10:22

@Cpr12 thanks. Scan went well, 1 happy little baby in there. Sad news that I got pushed back 1 week 😂 so thought I was 11+5 but only 10+6! I was so close to 12 weeks 😫 haha. They've also changed my 12 week scan from next week til the 28th April!! When I'll be 2 days off 14 weeks! So that worries me! What if baby has a big growth spurt and catches up a bit! Then I won't be able to have the NT test

Cpr12 · 09/04/2021 10:48

@jelliestogether congrats! Glad all was ok! But, that is annoying on the scan date. Maybe phone the midwife and tell her you are concerned?

Kona84 · 09/04/2021 10:52

Hi ladies I had my 12 week scan on Wednesday.
All is well I went at 12+1 by Last period and measured 12+2 so bang on track.
It was so surreal to see them moving about so much and not been able to feel it yet

Lovely photo @Kona84 , glad to hear all was well!
Sorry to hear you got pushed back @Jelliestogether but at least the little one is ok following the tumble. My hospital is being the same, warned by my midwife today that lots are being done nearer 14 weeks as they are so busy so I am likely to be in the same boat as you... if i ever find out a date lol!

mooloop · 09/04/2021 18:27

Fantastic @Kona84 congratulations!

Glad baby is ok @Jelliestogether, annoying for your date to be moved back but at least you've had a second peak at your little one rather than only the 12w scan! Smile

whitershadeofpale · 09/04/2021 18:41

My 12 week scan is at 13+4, I had a scan at 6 weeks which confirmed my dates but I’m still a bit nervous that they might be off and I can’t get the measurements taken.

RosieRabbit17 · 09/04/2021 19:32

Hi ladies just found this forum if you don't mind me joining?

I went for my 12 week scan today and got moved forward by 5 days so 12+6 today and now due on the 16th Oct. so glad to be at the end of the first trimester and beginning to feel better.

Hope all your scans go well too.

Jelliestogether · 09/04/2021 19:41

Nice to hear I'm not the only one having a later scan! Although I have emailed my midwife for reassurance! But yes I'm most grateful that little one is OK and I got a sneak peak today

Cpr12 · 09/04/2021 19:56

@rosierabbit17 welcome!! Congrats! We are close, I am due on the 13th! Is this your first?

RosieRabbit17 · 09/04/2021 20:44

No it's my 2nd. I have a nearly 4 year old boy already 😊 How about you?

Cpr12 · 09/04/2021 21:12

@rosierabbit17 it will be my rainbow 😍 4 is a nice age to have another, they can help haha!

Hello everyone, just wanted to post an update as I asked on this thread about the COVID vaccine in pregnancy and was advised yesterday by the consultant to have it as I am in group 6. I was expecting them to say no so I have considered it and will be going ahead and having it in Monday. Unfortunately also had some worrying news about nuchal fold being 3.5 so also waiting for fast tracked combined test results and if necessary will behaving the NIPT. I am pretty fed up as I was hoping this pregnancy might be straightforward after a MMC/molar pregnancy last October (the day before my dad’s funeral as well). Sad I am having a bit of a pity party! Hope everyone else is ok.

Sorry to hear about the NT, I have had an NIPT done on Thursday because I'm "old" Grin I'm high risk without anything other factors, NT was 1.8, if you do get it done it was really quick and easy, got to see baby again but now it's just the long wait for the results... the chances all will be fine with your pregnancy and the tests are non invasive so will give you that peace of mind x
