@Jl2020 How weird you say that! I've had mostly just nausea but rarely sick however this past week I have gone back and even threw up this morning simply because one of my hairs went in my mouth 🙈😂 Weird how it just picks up again!

Jl2020 · 04/04/2021 20:18

@MyGrassIsBrowner sounds like you definitely deserve the break and can eat more than jacket potatoes whilst it lasts lol. I honestly don't know how you all cope with the sickness every day for so long!
Must be so exhausting chasing around after a 1 year old aswell lol I can only imagine! Poor dog, but like you said Atleast he doesn't mind and it keeps your daughter entertained 😂 thankyou, I'm sure it will be fine I just won't look at the needle😆

@Juicytoot287 is very strange how it comes and goes isn't it? you would either expect it to be every day or never 😂 it's brushing my teeth that's made me feel the worst the last couple of days even thinking about it now makes me want to gag! Tbf all iv been doing is eating the last few weeks so it's good for my waist to have a few days of feeling sick I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 x

pixiedust21 · 04/04/2021 22:23

Miserable today. Envy Sick this morning and just been so sickly all day, I DONT WANT ANY FOOD BUT NOT EATING MAKES ME FEEL CRAP TOO.

Husband spent all day making a pie for Easter dinner and couldn't eat it. Feel guilty as well as crap and tired.

And breathe. Just felt like complaining lol. This is a hard time. Think I'm also deflated as my dates moved back 2 weeks so I'm further away from potentially feeling better in 2nd trimester!

Keep looking at my little scan picture and I know it's worth it but... urgh.

Juicytoot287 · 05/04/2021 07:14

@pixiedust21 it is completely normal to feel all these ways and the raging hormones don't help either!
Being put back 2 weeks could seem frustrating but like everyone said, it is another chance to see the baby on a scan and you have joined our lovely 10 week crew (coming up to 11 soon finallyyyy)!

I really do hope you can eat soon or find something that does not turn your stomach, not far off now! xx

Cpr12 · 05/04/2021 10:08

Randomly, I was feeling rotten yesterday as well, after feeling semi ok for the last few weeks.

I just had a super long sleep and feel so much better for it! Hopefully everyone is feeling better today!

@pixiedust21 it is so hard, but like you say just keep looking at that picture! Xx

sargeantsaltnpepper89 · 05/04/2021 10:34

Morning ladies!! @pixiedust21 am so sorry your not feeling great I've had HG in both of my last 2 pregnancies so I know how horrible the sickness can be 😢💕.
What I found that used to help was making sure I got a nap during the day so I was overly tired, ginger ale or ginger biscuits, ice lollies and hard boiled sweets are great to especially something with mint also rich tea biscuits and sugary tea if u can stomach it 💕 if it gets really bad give your midwife a wee call as there is this they can do I didn't realise first time round and it was horrible but second time I was given help and although I was still really sick it helped me function and get through the day ,also wee tip gavascon!! Sounds mental but it settles the stomach hope Ur feeling better soon !X

MyGrassIsBrowner · 05/04/2021 11:42

So sorry you ladies are suffering. First trimester can be blumming awful but it will pass and will all be a distant memory!
Don't feel guilty for napping during the day though. I have to nap with my DD otherwise I'm no good for anyone.
Anyone got any snow? I'm in North Lincolnshire and it's bright blue skies here today, no sign of the snow we were promised 🤨

Cpr12 · 05/04/2021 11:55

@mygrassisbrowner none here, but it has been snowing in my hope town in aberdeenshire! Started last night and still going!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 05/04/2021 12:18

@Cpr12 Wow really?! That's mad. I can't get my head around the fact that is was 22°c only a few days ago! Suppose we should be greatful cause we're all gonna be dying come summer.. dreading it 🤣

pixiedust21 · 05/04/2021 13:45

Thanks ladies. We can do this!!

I actually had a really long sleep last night too and that's helped. I've bought some ginger biscuits to snack on and I'm literally having a crisp sandwich for lunch.

Midwife said to eat what I can, when I can, and baby will take nutrients from me somehow so it's just me that'll feel bad 😂

I think my husband is trying to understand but doesn't hugely get it, he wants to help but can't really do anything which I think frustrates him as he always likes to find a solution!

Yes we had a bit of snow last night, it's sunny and cold now but still have some frost in the garden x

MyGrassIsBrowner · 05/04/2021 14:02

@pixiedust21 Yeah, baby will take everything it needs from you and unfortunately leave you with nothing lol. It's incredible how hardy they are though. I had a really bad bug with my DD when I was around 25 weeks and I didn't eat for about 5 days solid (was bed ridden) baby was absolutely fine even though I was worried sick that me not eating was affecting her. Turns out it didn't make a blind bit of difference 🤣

Juicytoot287 · 05/04/2021 15:47

That is reassuring about what we eat lol! Easter has not been kind and just grateful for an appetite.

On a side note- anyone else struggling to get used to sleeping on their side. I know i don't have a bump yet or anything so it isn't massively an issue but I have been trying to get used to it because i naturally sleep either face down or on my back. Really struggling to get comfy or stay on my side

Cpr12 · 05/04/2021 16:08

@juicytoot287 I started using my massive peegnancy pillow at 6 weeks! It is a u-shape so I can lie on one side and have the other prop me up. It really helps me get comfy. And when my sides hurt I can kind of lie at an angle on the back (so ish on my back, but not actually on it, if that makes sense!). It was such a good investment! I waited until 17 weeks to buy one last time but got it out super quick this time round and it has been the best decision!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 05/04/2021 18:15

@Cpr12 I'm with you on the pregnancy pillows, they're amazing!!! I literally love sleeping like a corpse in a morgue and I have big boobs so generally can never get comfortable on my side. Pregnancy pillows are a worthy investment x

mooloop · 05/04/2021 18:22

Any recommendations for pregnancy pillows for those who already have them? They look so comfy! I can imagine DH stealing it when he's sleeping through the day after night shift while I'm at work 😂

Cpr12 · 05/04/2021 18:49

@mooloop I bought the queen rose full body pregnancy pillow and like it. Cant recommend though, as not tried any other to compare it to! But will say I find having back and front pillow is what keeps me comfy so would reccomend a u shaped one.

@mygrassisbrowner randomly when not pregnant I would sleep on my sides happily but during pregnancy it hurts my sides. So strange!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 05/04/2021 19:55

@mooloop Knee Pillow UK is where I got mine from but, it's one of the U-shaped full body ones. However you can get them cheaply on Amazon and eBay just have a good search.

@Cpr12 how strange is that! I could do with one of those mini pillows you can put between your cleveage when you sleep on a side lol 🤣 I remember when I was about 35 weeks and how difficult I found it just turning and getting out of bed.. can't say I'm looking forward to that again haha x

Juicytoot287 · 05/04/2021 19:55

Amazing! Thanks for the advice, thought it was too soon to get one and also a bit superstitious lol! Didn't want to purchase anything too soon as in case all too good to be true - i am a very anxious person lol!
Will definitely look into them, need to find a way to get comfy :) x

Cpr12 · 05/04/2021 21:40

@mygrassisbrowner very much looking forward to being 35 weeks pregnant and not being able to move! Although, sure I will change my tune if I get thre haha!

@juicytoot287 superstition stopped me from getting it last time too, this time round I am buying things whenever I want. Superstition is no longer holding me back! Fully understand the anxiety though!

Jessica86Shropshire · 05/04/2021 22:11

@Juicytoot287 I feel the same - anxious and superstitious about it all. Going to buy a pillow if my NIPT result come back okay this week - I thought the anxiety and build up would be gone after getting pregnant but then you didn't that you get pregnant and it's never ending 😂

Jessica86Shropshire · 05/04/2021 22:17

The joys of autocorrect, I meant:

Kona84 · 05/04/2021 22:38

@MyGrassIsBrowner hahah I’ve had the pains from wind and poop too.

I’m feeling really well, energy has come back.
Hungry all the time though, loving oranges at the moment.

I have my 12 week scan on Wednesday! Sup anxious.

Anyone started a memory book?

Cpr12 · 06/04/2021 08:49

@jessica86shropshire I know, why do women pretend to others they arent massive balls of stress when pregnant! I did not expect it at all! And I am never normally a worrier. I just hope when I can feel the baby kick it will get less worrying!

@kona84 I have my scan tomorrow too so excited but apprehensive too! I was thinking last night I might start a memory book. Was thinking I would go buy a book today, then remembered it is still lockdown haha! Have you started one?

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 09:10

@Cpr12 haha I feel ya! But yeah when I hit 35 weeks everything was a struggle for me. At that point if you drop something on the floor.. it's staying there for good 🤣

Once you start feeling little movements ladies it'll all feel super super real! Exciting times ahead 😁

Jessica86Shropshire · 06/04/2021 16:33

Just received my NIPT results and all okay and I'm having a boy. Feeling so very relieved! Good luck to anyone else going through the wait for results, so stressful 🙏
