Aww congratulations @pixiedust21😍 xx

pixiedust21 · 03/04/2021 20:42

Ahh thanks ladies. Honestly feel so happy. Even though I know it's still early (and even earlier than I thought!) It feels wonderful to have seen the little bean. X

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/04/2021 20:59

@pixiedust21 I bet you keep looking at the scan photo dont cha! 😊🥰 It's amazing to see them for the first time!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/04/2021 21:01

I've got a laugh for you ladies. I had a bit of a scare earlier, got sudden cramps but quite painful round my front and back.. literally never had pain like it apart from my contractions.. DH was out doing the shopping so I rang him freaking out, well anyway it just turns out I needed a big poo 🤣🤣 Bloody pregnancy!!! 🙈

MeltingSnowflake · 03/04/2021 21:02

Ahhhh @pixiedust21 what a brilliant scan!! Welcome to the 10 week club 😂🥳

@Juicytoot287 try not to worry about symptoms disappearing - I was worried because mine mostly disappeared a week ago but I had my 10 week scan today and all is well!

He was so wriggly, I had no idea we'd be able to see him moving about!

Jelliestogether · 03/04/2021 21:06

I had a fall today...tripped over my own feet 🤦🏼‍♀️ injured my face and shoulder. I don't know whether to be worried and call EPU or just wait for my 12 week scan in 10 or so days. I've not had any cramping etc

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/04/2021 21:10

@MeltingSnowflake Lovely scan photo 🥰

MyGrassIsBrowner · 03/04/2021 21:10

@Jelliestogether I'd be tempted to call anyway, it can't do any harm! Better to be safe than sorry x

MeltingSnowflake · 03/04/2021 21:12

Oh @Jelliestogether that sounds painful!!

I believe you're at less risk because you're not showing and therefore the baby is more protected, and obviously it's a great sign that you don't have any camping, but I'd probably call 111 or EPU just for reassurance so you're not worrying.

pixiedust21 · 03/04/2021 22:03

@MeltingSnowflake beautiful scan!! Yay for 10 weeks! I feel a bit deflated as I'm now suddenly so "behind" haha, but it's obviously fine!

MeltingSnowflake · 03/04/2021 22:16

@pixiedust21 I bet! I'd definitely feel the same way - but at least it means you get too scans! Woo hoo!

MeltingSnowflake · 03/04/2021 22:17

*two

pixiedust21 · 03/04/2021 22:42

@MeltingSnowflake ah I know I literally can't wait! Grin so was yours a private scan? Do you have a date for your Nhs scan?

MeltingSnowflake · 03/04/2021 22:48

@pixiedust21 yeah, it was the NIPT + Scan 10 week thingy. My 12 weeks scan is the 24th I think - v excited to see the little bean again soon!

Cpr12 · 04/04/2021 10:11

@jelliestogether are you feeling ok today? As others have said it is not such a worry this early on and glad you have had no cramping. How is your face and shoulder?

@meltingsnowflake congrats on the scan! I think (for me anyway) they move more in the early scans. I only had scans from 12 weeks last time and there was never really any movement but had a 9 week this time and the baby was swimming like a fish 😂😂

Jelliestogether · 04/04/2021 10:29

Thanks guys. I've emailed the midwife to see what she says as it's Easter weekend it's all closed anyway so would be a trip to a&e and I don't think its worth that. My face and shoulder and now knee are all a bit bruised, scratched and sore! Nothing a bit of time won't sort!

Loving seeing everyone's scans come in!! Only 9 days til mine 😊

Jl2020 · 04/04/2021 10:49

@MeltingSnowflake congrats on the scan glad it all went well! 😁 X

@Jelliestogether I'm sure everything is fine if you don't have any cramping or anything :) hope you feel better soon though x

mooloop · 04/04/2021 10:50

Oh bless you @Jelliestogether I hope you feel better soon! They say babies are well cushioned in there so I'm sure your little one will be fine, totally understand the worry though ❤️

eloiseislost · 04/04/2021 11:02

@Jelliestogether I hope you are feeling better! I'm sure the baby will be absolutely fine, they are very well protected in there!
My midwife told me to let them know of any falls ASAP because they suspect I have rhesus negative blood type (blood results pending) and DH has positive so I would need an antigen-D injection, in case the fall caused my blood to mix with the placenta.
So you did the right thing to let you midwife know.

Cpr12 · 04/04/2021 15:54

Is anyone else suffering from excessive thirst? I drink so much I am sick but am still thirsty. It is not all the time but every few days. Anyone got any tips to get rid of it?

Jl2020 · 04/04/2021 16:03

@Cpr12 I'm the opposite I'm not drinking anywhere near as much as I should be just don't get thirsty anymore but I did have a friend who struggled with constant thirst in pregnancy and she was advised to eat more watermelon, cucumber, oranges and other fruit and veg with high water content as that can help with hydration! Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/04/2021 16:48

@Cpr12 They said to me that excessive thirst can be a sign of GD but I'd just keep an eye on it, no harm in giving the MW a call for some advice as well. Water with loads and LOADS of ice helps me! You do get a bit of brainfreeze in the process though 🤣
How are we ladies feeling? I think my sickness has finally gone!! 🙏

Jl2020 · 04/04/2021 17:43

@MyGrassIsBrowner glad to hear
Your sickness has gone, hopefully it stays that way 🤞🏼 weirdly yesterday and today iv felt really sick for only the second time since iv been pregnant lol but haven't actually been sick just feel a bit queasy! My bloods are now being done tomorrow morning instead of today so got that to look forward too 😩😂 xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/04/2021 18:07

@Jl2020 you poor sod! I've had this nausea for around 6 weeks now so I'm glad I've finally got a bit of a break though it's the tiredness that is killing me now. Having to keep up with my 1 year old DD who is now crawling and exploring EVERYTHING. Mainly the poor dog who keeps getting whacked on the head with random toys 😆 it's a good job he just doesn't give a toss the poor fella. Good luck with your bloods tomorrow, you'll be absolutely fine I promise ya!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/04/2021 18:08

@Jl2020 Keep sipping cold water if you can stomach it and plain stuff. I've lived off jacket potatoes for a while now 😆 xx
