I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@Anon222 I think it is possible for your friends to see what groups your in if they are savvy enough but because it’s a private group all they will see is that you are a member of “group chit chat” and nothing posted in the group is visible on anyone’s timeline!

Gspps · 30/03/2021 09:45

@queenatom I'm so glad someone else feels the same as me, that's exactly the same it does feel hypothetical and like it's not actually real at all. I'm not also really scared of the whole process now for some reason but hopefully it gets better! This support system does really help at times like these.

Can't wait for us all to start the journey together x

Neom87 · 30/03/2021 10:49

Managed it, the MN app didn't show it as a link only a 'click here' that didn't do anything. Had to go to the webpage. I do find the MN app frustrating!
@Gspps Yes, 100% in the same boat as you! First pregnancy, we’d been trying for quite a while and now that it’s happened I’m finding it very hard to accept that it’s real. Whenever I speak with my husband about it, it feels like we’re play acting or like the hypothetical conversations we had when we were trying. I don’t know when I’ll finally believe that I’m actually pregnant and we’re actually having a baby - I suspect not until after 12 weeks earliest, and possibly not until quite a bit later.
Exactly how we are feeling in this household and minus cramping i dont have any other symptoms so it's hard to believe this is happening x

Arrierttyclock · 30/03/2021 12:32

@Gspps I feel the same it feels like I'm pretending! My husband said he forgot I was pregnant earlier and I had too 😂

Hi ladies! I just got my BFP this morning, estimated due date 11th December.

This will be my second (first is 19 months old) and I’m a bit worried about how the toddler is going to handle it + how I’m going to handle the toddler.

Horehound · 30/03/2021 13:15

Congrats @SparrowNest! My boy is also 19m and still BF 2-3 times a night and multiple times during the day when he's home with me. Me and my husband just spoke about putting him to nursery for a 4th day (my folks have him one day too) so that would give me one day on my own no work and no child so I can just rest and then when baby is here I won't have to run around after him either. Sounds awful bit they take up so much energy at this age.

Also need to figure out how to wean him 🤔

queenatom · 30/03/2021 14:14

Welcome, @SparrowNest and congratulations!

Just been for a lovely walk in the sun - feels good to get out but I’m really struggling with all the toilets being closed; between needing to pee more often and being a lot more thirsty, it’s a dangerous gamble every time I head out!

Bizawit · 30/03/2021 14:25

Welcome @SparrowNest. My toddler is 21 months and also still breastfeeds a lot , day and night 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m already feeling exhausted, sick and constantly hungry!

Poptart90 · 30/03/2021 14:27

@queenatom I am so thirsty at the moment! I seem to constantly have a dry throat and mouth! Its even waking me up in the night 😫

lucea87 · 30/03/2021 14:29

@SparrowNest congrats and welcome!

@Poptart90 @queenatom I am also extremely thirsty which doesn't help my quest to not get up in the night for a wee 😂

PinkPurpleParade · 30/03/2021 14:43

This is such a lovely thread!! Welcome everyone Smile

When is everyone telling their parents? I'm absolutely terrified of telling mine, not gonna lie. They're very traditional and believe in doing things the right way - me and DP have only been together a year and not married or anything yet. I'm scared Grin

Bizawit · 30/03/2021 14:53

@lucea87 @Poptart90 omg me too and I constantly need to wee.

queenatom · 30/03/2021 15:18

Funnily enough @PinkPurpleParade I’ve been toying with this one for the past few days. Initially I was going to wait until the 8 week scan we have booked, but now I’m considering telling them sooner, maybe even today - we’re going to have to tell some friends on Friday (they’ll know immediately why I’m not drinking) and it feels weird telling them before my mum, plus if something were to go wrong I’d want to be able to talk to them about it. That said, it still feels like I’m jinxing myself or something (which I know is stupid).

Gspps · 30/03/2021 15:52

@queenatom I'm the same, I'm due to go to brunch 17th April with the girls and I'm going to have to tell them as they'll know straight away why I'm not drinking ....but then don't know when to tell my parents, I want to tell my mum but I'm scared for some reason haha even though I'm 27🤣

PinkPurpleParade · 30/03/2021 15:56

@Gspps hahaha I'm 25 and already have one child but I'm still nervous to tell my mum!! Grin

queenatom · 30/03/2021 16:17

@Gspps I'm 33, married for 2 years (second anniversary today) and much older than my parents were when they had both me and my brother and I'm still scared!

Gspps · 30/03/2021 16:25

@PinkPurpleParade ahhh how did you do it last time haha I know she'll be happy but I'm just a bit awkward with it these things 🤣
@queenatom happy anniversary! It's so horrible isn't it just want to get it over and done with haha

PinkPurpleParade · 30/03/2021 16:33

Last time I was living at uni and was only 20 and knew my parents would go mental so I text her and then switched my phone off for 3 days Blush then she didn't speak to me for 5 months... hopefully it'll go better than that this time. She adores my DD and has her two days a week while I work.

KrystiMom · 30/03/2021 16:35

Hi! I’m due December 5 and would love to join the chit chat group! I just found this thread today, not sure how exclusive the group is! Also, are there other expectant moms from the US on here or is it mostly a UK mum group and forum? I’m from the US but just looking for support and company in my pregnancy journey!

CCG92 · 30/03/2021 18:03

@KrystiMom join the chit chat group, you're more than welcome. On the other question I'm not sure, I know there's UK and Aus so far, but there maybe is some US too ☺️

PinkPurpleParade · 30/03/2021 18:09

Anyone else having weird early pregnancy symptoms? Please let me know to make me feel better!! I'm only 4 weeks tomorrow and I'm honestly STARVING all the time! I've always eaten by 16:8 kind of naturally, have my first meal 1-2pm - recently I've been waking up and I'm absolutely ravenous first thing in the morning. And today I had nausea for the first time... Brilliant Sad

marcella64 · 30/03/2021 18:24

@Gspps it's been lovely reading your posts from today! I'm now on my 3rd pregnancy and it still feels like you describe with your first! I am however more relaxed as I know what I've got coming and that it all works out in the end. I think I'll believe it more once I can feel movements, that for me was when I started to bond with my babies I guess.

I took till 20 weeks in both pregnancies to tell my mum, was shiting it! This time I told her same week I found out (last week) I learnt the longer I left it the more worked up I got. X

Londonlady84 · 30/03/2021 18:58

Congratulations to you all! Hope it's ok for me to join.

I got my bfp nearly a week ago and think I'm due around 6th December. This will hopefully be my third baby (I have a 4 and 2 year old), although it's my 7th pregnancy. Lost my first at 21 weeks and have had 3 early miscarriages over the past few months, so I'm feeling quite anxious 😩

flowersatthecastle · 30/03/2021 19:16

I'm going to join the fb group later... if any of my friends were to have a nosey at the group and saw a question of "when's your due date" they'd clock me Wink although if they've gone to all the effort to see what I'm up to on Facebook they'll probably work out I'm pregnant the moment I don't have brie on my sandwich anyway...
