I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@Neom87 I'm the same. I have IBS on and off but it's been under control until the last 7-10 days. The mornings are horrible but then I just get constipated by the evenings. It's gonna be a long 9 months! But I will take it! I will take all of the symptoms!xx

queenatom · 26/03/2021 21:48

@Tabbycat92 My go-to black leggings have a hole on the side - they need replacing and I’ve been trying to decide whether I go for a standard pair or lean into it and just get the maternity now...

Arthien · 26/03/2021 21:51

@Arrierttyclock I've been in pain with IBS cramps almost every evening since I first tested positive a week ago. I normally take ibuprofen so obviously that's out. I second finding a comfy position, either the one already described or one your back and "bicycle" your legs in the air to get things moving. I find leaning on the edge of the bed can help too. I've also found that mine is worse after sitting on the sofa for an hour or two, so I'm forcing myself to get up and walk around the house, which seemed to make a difference yesterday. Sorry you're in pain, it's the worst when you know there's nothing you can really take for it either 😕

Arthien · 26/03/2021 21:53

@Tabbycat92 I've already my impulse-purchased maternity leggings will be getting used early if this mega-bloating continues! There will be more jokes about twins at this rate...

lucea87 · 26/03/2021 21:56

I've managed to keep my jeans on tonight....with the zip and buttons undone 😂😂

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 21:57

@lucea87 I've just been on in the style looking at the maternity stuff. Top shop under bump jeans where my fave. I'm not buying just browsing lol xx

lucea87 · 26/03/2021 21:59

@marcella64 oh my gosh I love the Georgia K stuff, I was looking at it before I found out hoping I'd get to wear some of it so I'll definitely be buying some stuff from there!

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 22:04

@lucea87 i love it too, I was wanting to get some bits whilst they have it in my size to wear in the summer. I wonder who the pregnant celebrity will be for the range when we all have our bumps!? X

lucea87 · 26/03/2021 22:10

@marcella64 that's what I was thinking, especially as some of it's reduced at the moment too 🧐 I've got some bits in my basket on there and on boohoo too!x

CCG92 · 26/03/2021 22:14

Sorry to hear so many of you are struggling with bloating/IBS 😩 Bring on the scans so that we can find out that all of this is for a reason! 🤞🏼🤣

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 22:15

@lucea87 exactly! Get it whilst it's reduced 👏 Oh god yea boo boo, I haven't looked at maternity there yet. I looked on ASOS, that was lethal 😩 I'm hoping my jumpsuits will fit a bump!

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 22:16

@lucea87 * boohoo bloody autocorrect 😂

lucea87 · 26/03/2021 22:18

@marcella64 😂😂 I knew what you meant. I've just put a couple of pairs of jeans and dungarees in my basket on there...I might check those out tomorrow as my bloat need them....!!

My evening sickness has just arrived. Wondering what small hour I will see tomorrow...hoping I'm exhausted enough to sleep better 🤞🏼🤞🏼

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 22:27

@lucea87 I've just added the PU leggings to my basket, I'll need them soon with my bloat too.

I'm praying sickness holds off another couple of weeks, I was so sick in both my pregnancies. It was day and night 😩 xx

Neom87 · 26/03/2021 22:28

@marcella64 before before was pregnant if ever I was browsing asos and saw something i liked it often turned out to be maternity! So at least I can actually buy some if the stuff now!!

marcella64 · 26/03/2021 22:51

@Neom87 lol, get filling that bag! Does anyone know if Zara do maternity?

AngeloMysterioso · 26/03/2021 22:57

I found the ASOS/Boohoo type maternity stuff really uncomfortable, it’s just wall to wall itchy sweaty polyester. Seraphine and Isabella Oliver were my go-to’s for maternity clothes, on the pricey side though so I got most of it on eBay.

Neom87 · 26/03/2021 23:53

@marcella64 just looked at zara and their maternity seemed to consist of solely oversized shirts, nothing else😒

lucea87 · 27/03/2021 06:21

As I lay here feeling so so sick (it's really come in force today!) I'm having a look on seraphine! I've never heard of it, it's gorgeous stuff. I was looking on next at a lot of stuff and it's similarly priced. What's the sizing like @AngeloMysterioso ?

Hope you're all feeling good today ladies. Xx

AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter · 27/03/2021 06:31

Hi guys, I'll join in if that's ok! I took some tests yesterday and had some faint positives. I've taken another one today and it's even stronger Smile. From my working out I'm due on 1st December. I'll be consultant led this time due to me having a prem baby last time. Should have my first scan at about 8 weeks!

I'm going to read through the thread now.

It's so exciting!!

queenatom · 27/03/2021 06:39

Welcome @AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter, and congratulations! How old is your first baby?

RockyisMYRhino · 27/03/2021 06:48

Hi @AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter it's so exciting isn't it! Think I'll probably be consultant led as well (although for different reasons) after being midwife led last time - will be interesting to see if it's any different! I've hit the 4 week mark today as well and luckily only have some mild nausea at the moment (weirdly seems to go away after a cup of coffee!)
Will have to get my DH to get my maternity stuff out of the loft soon I think to see if it still fits- I got a lot of stuff from George at Asda because it's fairly cheap and was about the only place I could get to easily to return stuff if it didn't fit.

AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter · 27/03/2021 07:02

Thanks guys!

My son is 5, so it should be a nice age gap 😬.

I need to go through my maternity clothes too, and baby clothes! I've seen loads of nice maternity clothes online recently (whilst looking for normal clothes), I think it was H&M and Sainsbury's? It looks like there's more variation now than there was 5/6 years ago!

RockyisMYRhino · 27/03/2021 07:07

@AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter oh god the baby clothes! I hadn't even thought of going through all of those!!! At least we should be ok for babygrows etc for the first few months especially if it's a boy (have a 3.5yo DS already). I'm not bothered if we have another boy or a girl - my mantra is as long as they are happy and healthy I have no preference.

Arrierttyclock · 27/03/2021 07:10

Thanks all- I've had severe IBS for years and years they once almost took my appendix out as the pain as so bad they thought it had burst or was about too but I just hadn't been for a poo in a month. It gets so bad. Since finding out im pregnant tho it's been the opposite but the pain is just sooooo bad so I'm going to call the dr on Monday and see if they can help with anything.

Another early morning- I hope this is jsut preparing my body for motherhood as normally I have to be forced out of bed and tbis week I've been wide awake from 5.30 😂

So excited to buy dungarees!! Have to keep telling myself 4 weeks is too soon to wear them 😂🤦🏽‍♀️
