Thought it would be nice to have a thread going for those in the final stretch Smile

Starting to analyse every little twinge now. Knicker checking every time I use the loo like the early days. Braxton hicks every night too. Wondering how much longer I’ll be! This is my last pregnancy so I’m in no rush for it to end, but at the same time can’t wait to meet little one. 37+3 today!

How are you feeling?

Morning guys, happy mothers day.

I've lost my bloody plug this morning and the tummy cramps are so intense I'm almost crying. I never really suffered with period pain but this is just so sore. I'm hoping that by the end of Mothers day I will be a mum! Fingers crossed for a quick and safe arrival

Waves @Wavescrashingonthebeach
I’ve been getting regular braxton hicks every night now for a good week or two. I time them but I have no idea why as they never come to anything! Is this your first?

@NewYearNewOldMe - that can be a good sign, body clears out just before labour!

I'm trying not to get too excited but...

I'm 40+1 today (Monday) and so far I've had zero signs. Tonight (Sunday) I had a really hard bump and now I'm currently awake because I have period type back cramps so I'm hoping this is a sign that all the annoying people keep texting me asking me for. Hard not to be excited! I know it could still be days but I feel like my body is finally doing something!

NewYearNewOldMe · 15/03/2021 03:13

Fingers crossed for you @serialplanner!

I'm also awake because I can't bloody sleep- having tightenings and cramps but have been having them for the last four days now so not getting my hopes up,l

Me and DH DTD for the first time MONTHS though so I'm quite chuffed in that regard - I've not been interested for so long, and was starting to question if my sex drive would ever return.

serialplanner · 15/03/2021 03:36

@NewYearNewOldMe even if it is days, sounds like the right direction for both of us🤞🏽

DTD probably helped!

@PowPurry

Yes this is my first baby Smile

Woke at 3am with like gassy pains & hard tummy not really been able to get back to sleep. Tummy is rumbling a bit now?

Im debating whether to just get up and do some housework i feel quite wide awake!

Not long now.. feel like it will hopefully be within the next few days...

@serialplanner any news?

Funnily enough I was awake at stupid o clock with tightenings too! Lots of lightning crotch this morning. I’m currently bouncing on my ball.
This was after packing DC off to school and a kind mum letting me know it’s actually tomorrow they are back 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel ready for this baby to be born now. My anxiety is getting the better of me, mostly regarding movements and worrying about what’s going on in there. (He’s moving fine this morning he’s just always been a bit of a few days on - few days off kind of baby)

@Wavescrashingonthebeach exciting! Keep us updated Smile

@PowPurry less crampy but still twinges and aches going on in the back and down there. I'm still excited as I haven't even had a leaky boob this whole pregnancy lol. I have the midwife tomorrow and I'm reconsidering saying no to a sweep....I get the vibe that they only really work if your body is ready anyway? Have you ever had one?

Totally agree the movements can cause worry. Fingers crossed the ball helps.

I can't keep active this morning even though I know I should. Just resting.

I was up in the night with such an upset stomach, don’t think I’ve experienced something like that before, hoping it might be a sign.... feel quite sick this morning as well, me and DH have eaten the same things and he’s fine so don’t think it’s that.

38 weeks today, if I make it to tomorrow that is going to be the most pregnant I’ve been before, I feel like I can’t get anymore pregnant than this or I’m going to burst!

Report
PowPurry · 15/03/2021 09:32

@serialplanner the only sweep experiences I’ve had are when I was in the early stages of labour anyway. Contracting and around 2-3cm and they did them to help things along. I found them fine, and they will stop as soon as it gets too uncomfortable for you.

@Jasmine9835 oooo, exciting. I’m 38 weeks today too! He can’t come this week though, as much as I’d like him too. Can’t mess up DH’s carefully planned time off Hmm

Ooooo lots of signs from people now!

I was also up with what I was sure was contractions in the middle of the night..I lay down and counted 3 and then must have fallen back asleep and have woken up to nothing 🙄

My DD is still at my parents' house after I was sure it was all starting on Saturday evening. They are over an hour away so it's a hard call! I think I'll get her back this evening 🤷 I mean it could be another week and she's only 28 months so not used to being away for ages and ages 😫 xxx
