Thought it would be nice to have a thread going for those in the final stretch Smile

Starting to analyse every little twinge now. Knicker checking every time I use the loo like the early days. Braxton hicks every night too. Wondering how much longer I’ll be! This is my last pregnancy so I’m in no rush for it to end, but at the same time can’t wait to meet little one. 37+3 today!

How are you feeling?

Congratulations on all the babies! Hope everyone is loving the newborn bubble.

All signs seem to have stopped for me so just a waiting game, although I really hope it’s not today, been up for the last 3 hours with a screaming DS, no idea what’s wrong with him he’s been an excellent sleeper for the past year, now is not the time to regress 😭

@Jasmine9835 aw that sounds tough. Could someone look after your DS for a couple of hours so you get some rest in case your baby gets here soon?

@SunnySideUp2020 I thought it might mean a lie in this morning but no up at 6am, he normally sleeps until 7 at least! DH has been working nights this weekend, it was his last one last night so once he’s up at lunchtime I think I’ll be trading places with him and going back to bed for a few hours!

Congrats on everyone's babies!! I think nesting has finally kicked in for me, 37+6 today got an appointment tomorrow if they offer me a sweep I'm unsure if I'll take it as although my back is sore I feel ok in every other way

Had my baby yesterday @39 weeks 💪🙌 I was 5cms at my appointment and my Dr suggested coming in to have my waters broken. Waters broken, 2hrs after that contractions started, baby born 2hrs & 15 mins later. Look forward to never having to go through labour again 😂😂😂 but absolutely thrilled with the results -a beautiful little chunky monkey xxx

Sorry for late update but our baby girl arrived on Monday at 2pm - a wonderful water birth, went to birth centre at midnight Sunday and somehow I managed to deliver with NO pain relief not even gas and air?! Trust me this was not my plan! I am amazed and feel very lucky. I hope the birth gods smile on you all too xxxxx

@KO2018 congratulations!! And sounds like you had an amazing birth! I wish I could do water birth but I've my own health conditions they need to monitor so they won't let me in the water

I'm 3 days overdue. My son was born at 40+4 so could be doing a 40+4 again. Desperate to meet the little one :)

6 days overdue, he finally appeared on Friday morning. Got the birth I was after (water, just gas and air) and we were home the evening of the same day. Hurrah!

Baby Waves is finally here! He arrived early hours of Sunday morning - no water birth for me as my labour was SO fast! But i had been in the bath at home first which helped! But by the time i got to the delivery suite it was literally time to push! So by the time i got any gas & air his head was halfway out!
It was PAINFUL but felt amazing afterwards the pain literally just goes away!
Home now and a little shellshocked but fully in love with my little boy!
Many congrats and best wishes to everyone else on the thread its a rollercoaster but worth every second xx

Congratulations everyone!! What were everyone’s signs that labour was starting?? I’m having so many false starts I’m getting desperate 😩

Report
tinatsarina · 30/03/2021 15:42

@UncleBunclesHouse for my first I had backache that wouldn't ease no matter what stretch or position I was in then my waters partially broke but there was meconium so we went straight to the hospital where they fully broke my waters to start the contractions properly. My second I was induced 39+3 again waters were broke for me as I was already 2/3cm contractions got painful quite soon after. For this one I've got to 39 weeks today with occasional cramps and backache but it doesn't progress to anything

Baby boy arrived on due date yesterday after a very long wait for an induction! Spent all weekend on the ward waiting. Ended up having to be put on the drip again like first birth but got an epidural before and ended up giving birth 3 hours after starting drip and only a few pushes were needed. In a lovely newborn bubble, can’t wait for him to meet his big brother tomorrow 😊
