Pregnant after loss thread- November 2021

Hi all, I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant after 4 previous miscarriages. I don’t really have any symptoms other than boobs a bit sore and nipples sensitive. I’m on clexane injections, cyclogest and aspirin as all the tests they’ve run have found nothing wrong. Is anyone else due in November after loss? I thought it would be a nice idea to have a thread where we can all chat and share our journeys x

Hi Sallyjo27 :) I'm 4+3 today so super super early after my 1st pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks in October 2020.
How are you feeling today?
I've been at the doctors today to check hcg level and progesterone. My first ultrasound will be performed at 7+0 to monitor growth this time. I really really hope I make it until then without spotting or bleeding or anything else upsetting (which I had last time..). Other than that I am quite positive. =)
Looking forward to hearing from you

Sallyjo27 · 11/03/2021 18:39

@Nate1 Hi, I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m okay thank you, how are you??
I’m waiting for my hcg and progesterone levels to come back too. I’ve got an early scan at the EPU on the 25th and I’m dreading it. I hope you do too! It’s quite difficult isn’t it? I’m cautiously excited lol x

Hi ladies @Sallyjo27 @Nate1. I had a loss in December at 8 weeks. Currently 4+3 the same as @Nate1!

I haven’t been to the doctors yet, but was under the impression that they wouldn’t test my progesterone levels until a third loss? Do you think it’s worth asking them to check? Xxx

MollySxx · 11/03/2021 19:32

I am currently 8+3 (counting from LMP as didn't track ovulation) after having 3 miscarriages last year. Currently struggling with this pregnancy as had early scans which weren't news I was hoping for. Currently in the 2 week limbo of another scan to confirm if progress has been made or if it's a failed pregnancy🥺

Sallyjo27 · 12/03/2021 07:10

@Summersun001 you could ask them to do a hcg and progesterone blood test. I don’t see why they’d refuse xxx

@MollySxx I hate that 2 weeks in between scans. How did your early scans go?? I hope it’s good news for you! Are you on any medication? Xxx

@Sallyjo27 I had a scan at 5+4 because I was getting anxious because I had left side pain so my doctor referred me. Went along to that scan and ectopic was ruled out, but all they could see was an empty gestational sac measuring 3mm. Went back a week later at 6+4, again an empty sac but this time measuring 7mm. Went back a week later at 7+4, a 9mm sac with a yolk. I'm not a week away from the next scan where I'm hoping to get answers🤞🏼

And yes, I am on 400mg progesterone pessaries twice daily until I'm 16 weeks, 150mg aspirin, 5mg folic acid

Has a positive pregnancy test this morning after miscarrying at 8 weeks on 31st January. I've not even had a period yet so having to best guess at 4 weeks today. Not expected and I'm absolutely terrified something will go wrong again xx

Did you have follow ups to show the miscarriage had gone down to 0 on your HCG levels? And a negative test? I had this after my chemical in October and I was still getting faint positives. Call your GP and make sure this is a new pregnancy x
Starsong82 · 12/03/2021 12:32

3 negative tests between then and now, going to test again over the weekend and if I'm still showing positive call my gp x

Nate1 · 12/03/2021 13:18

Hi ladies :) hope you are doing well.

@Summersun001 Oh exciting to hear that someone on this thread is exactly as far as I am. I'm glad that my doctors did some tests in-between the pregnancies and are giving me some "extra" care right now so that I don't have to worry too much (which of course I do anyway) but I have to agree with @Sallyjo27 that I did demand that :D!!

@Sallyjo27 I'm good so far - as long as I'm not spotting I'm not worried is my new mantra :D how far along are you and when will your first scan be?

Starsong82 · 14/03/2021 20:21

Well for mother's Day I got my period so looks like this was a chemical pregnancy for me, wishing you lovely ladies sticky beans and some beautiful November babies xx

chrissynewbie · 15/03/2021 23:51

Hey! Hope you're okay! I'm due in November and I had a very early miscarriage on valentines ! So ive fallen pregnant quickly after and I'm so nervous! Not rang doctors yet as I feel like they wouldn't see my this early I'm only 3 weeks 5 days so I'm just waiting it out which feels so slow and scary

chrissynewbie · 15/03/2021 23:54

Hey just saw about your chemical on Mother's Day after my other reply, so sorry this happened x

Sallyjo27 · 16/03/2021 10:32

@Nate1 I’ll be 6w4d hopefully. My hcg results have come back good too. 15dpo they were 351 17dpo they were 792. So more than doubled which I’m happy with.

How is everyone?

@chrissynewbie the waiting is the worst. How are you feeling?

@Starsong82 I’m sorry to hear that sending you lots of love xxx

Hi all,

I’m 6+2 today, following a MMC in October. I spend every day being terrified at the moment! I have an early scan on Monday at 7 weeks. X

chrissynewbie · 17/03/2021 10:48

@Sallyjo27 I'm okay just nervous and find myself checking I'm not bleeding all the time! I feel strangely calm though and just hoping little nugget sticks and is okay. Not called doctors yet, I'm 4 weeks today !

J6J6 · 17/03/2021 13:04

Hello,
Really pleased to have found this group ☺️
I'm 5w3d today. Had a MMC last year which ended up taking one medical and two surgical managements to resolve. It's a huge relief to be pregnant again, but all very scary. I have PCOS and currently on metformin, which was in part to help with regularising periods, and in part because it can reduce the risk of early miscarriage in a new pregnancy. I've booked a scan for when I'll be 7w6d - I'm wishing the next couple of weeks away!
Be good to keep in touch.

KG1145 · 17/03/2021 14:13

Hi. I'm 4w1d today and had a MMC and CP in the past 9 months. I'm really praying this one sticks!

I'm feeling like I'm not getting support at all from my Drs despite being very anxious and she said to fill out the form to register the pregnancy and the midwife will get in touch for the booking in scan. I asked about progesterone and she had no idea and other tests and she had no idea.

Those who are on progesterone, who was it decided that you needed it and what tests did you have?

After a meltdown yesterday I ordered a pack of 30 tests of amazon which should arrive today. Not sure whether to keep testing to check it's getting darker or whether that would increase anxiety.

KG1145 · 17/03/2021 14:15

Also I'm quite concerned that I don't have any symptoms yet... I'm tired and have occasionally sore boobs but no sickness and with my first i had a lot of sickness, although can't remember when it started tbh.

I'm essentially just constantly trying to talk myself down from panic which I'm sure you ladies will understand x

Sussexgirlie5 · 17/03/2021 19:51

Hey girls I’m 4+5 today after a MMC at 11 weeks in October. @Nate1 how did you get ur dr to check progesterone levels? N a reassurance scan please?

Sallyjo27 · 18/03/2021 06:46

@KG1145 I have no symptoms at all apart from sore boobs. In my experience though having symptoms or lack of symptoms doesn’t mean anything, so try not to worry x
@Sussexgirlie5 you can ring your GP up and explain your worries after your mmc or you can pay for the test on medichecks- that’s what I’ve done this time as after 4 losses my GP wouldn’t do it for me x

Sussexgirlie5 · 18/03/2021 22:24

Ok thanks babe, I’ll give them a call x

Geyser33 · 20/03/2021 16:21

Hello hope it's ok I jump on this? I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. My daughter is 9 and been trying for a sibling for a couple of years now. Have had x3 chemicals and x2 early MCs so praying this time round. EDD based on my LMP is 21.11.21- trying so hard not to keep testing and running to the loo every second to check not started bleeding. Anyone else so paranoid? Sending hugs to everyone xxx
