Pregnant after loss thread- November 2021

Hi all, I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant after 4 previous miscarriages. I don’t really have any symptoms other than boobs a bit sore and nipples sensitive. I’m on clexane injections, cyclogest and aspirin as all the tests they’ve run have found nothing wrong. Is anyone else due in November after loss? I thought it would be a nice idea to have a thread where we can all chat and share our journeys x

@PurpleRaven777 you made it to 8 weeks another milestone. Yes the doubt is awful isn't it. One day at a time. Deep breaths.

How is everyone doing? I've had terrible back ache today but no nausea. Have early scan tomorrow at 6+3 and am terrified. Just want to know will all be ok- why can't we fast forward to holding babies in our arms? This waiting game is so hard when had early losses isn't it???

Hello Ladies, i had my scan earlier on and it was perfect. Baby measuring 3 days ahead, rapid heartbeat, all looking well. I am do relieved and feel like i can start enjoying the journey a little bit. I was so nervous ang not really excited up until know because of lack of nausea and sore boobs. Everyone tells you to enjoy it but after a loss you just want to feel pregnant so desperately, don't you??! My boobs are only slightly bigger and my tummy experiences some stretchy cramping but apart from this i feel just fine! Oh i hope this one sticks around. I'm very pleased my husband said as many scans as you want - he just wants me to keep calm and i feel like seeing the heartbeat is the only way to make me feel positive and hopeful. I got so chocked up when I saw it on the screen. I know there's no guarantees but with every week passing we are closer to the safer zone :) love to all xxx

Thanks lovely! I got pics but not much to see. The heart beat was very much there so I'm happy! They put me at 7wks 2 days. Last time i lasted just over 8 weeks, will go again at 9 i think just to celebrate getting over that hurdle (i do realise this won't guarantee anything but you gotta do whatever to survive in your head). hoping this will be our rainbow bebe 😍 the songrapher pointed out the placenta already forming as well,good scan! Aren't bodies amazing? I'm so grateful for another chance ☺️ xxx

@mia2201 awesome news! I had a scan at 7wks with my son and he was just a fuzzy blob with a heartbeat 😂 Have you thought about getting a fetal doppler for reassurance? I've heard mixed reviews as some people say not being able to find the heartbeat (due to position and tiny-ness of baby) freaked then out more but some people seem to find them really reassuring. I'm torn about getting one.

I made it through yesterday with no bleeding and only 3 sleeps to my scan now. I might have spent some time watching 9wk ultrasounds on YouTube last night - not sure why I torture myself like that!

We saw the sac but couldn’t see anything in it. Back in 2 weeks as should def be able to see something then, if not then will know for certain not good. Nurse was so lovely and reassuring advising could be earlier than they thought but I def know date of last period. Trying so hard to stay positive but is just horrible.

Has anyone else had ever had this and all been ok?

Hey geyser, sorry to hear it wasn't the news you wanted and expected but i see those stories on mumsnet all the time! You're not out yet, at all. We do get warned about the early scans as they're performed earlier than advised and they can bring a lot of unnecessary anxiety on,we do it anyway don't we?...curiosity gets the better if us. I really hope things change in the waiting period. Are you going to wait whole two weeks? Sending you a big hug, i know this will be a very difficult wait- we're here to hold your hand xxx

Also maybe you could call your gp and ask for blood tests to confirm your hcg levels rising? Maybe that could reassure you a little bit for now. Just an idea xx

Thanks appreciate your support. My scan was with the nhs so have to wait the full 2 weeks. My GP said she was going to call me on Friday to see how things went so will ask for more bloods then but is a a bank holiday here Monday and Tuesday so I probably won't get bloods taken til Wednesday which is a week anyway. It's the not knowing and waiting that's the hardest. Have been so anxious and know that's not helping. Really trying to stay positive and hoping I just ovulated later than I thought as the nurse said a big difference in days at this stage never mind weeks 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Do you know your ovulation date? That could put you earlier irrespective of your LMP. The nurse being so supportive is a good sign I think too - they were pretty brutal when mine was too small as I think they have to be careful to manage expectations.

Really hope I just ovulated late as I know my lmp was 14th feb- how could you forget how romantic. Have just booked in for bloods tomorrow in the hope may get results Friday before gp closed for Easter hols

@Geyser33 sorry it wasn't the news you were hoping for. Fingers crossed you get your blood results before the bank holiday. The waiting is the worst. Xx

So after freaking out yesterday and expecting the worst I woke up feeling no symptoms at all yet now I feel sick as a dog, can't walk downstairs without boobs hurting and ready to go to bed now! Either my body is playing cruel tricks on me or can i start getting my hopes up for the repeat scan in 2 weeks. Absolute head melt

Geyser, listen to your body, go to bed when you feel like it, maybe your body is doing some overtime to catch up? We won't know until the scan but for now take it as a good sign of things happening. I've been thinking of you xx

I’m the same as you - woke up feeling annoyingly fine after days of the same, to then spend the day increasingly horizontal on the sofa in fear of seeing my breakfast again! Fingers crossed it’s a good sign (it better be lol)🤞🤞🤞
