Got too impatient waiting for my letter and scan is booked for next Thursday when I’ll be 12+6! Feels like forever awayyyy 😩

@sillysocks998 I was actually sick for the first time exactly at 12 weeks 🤮 thankfully it hasn't happened again.. Touch wood. But I'm so exhausted still and suffering with constipation on and off too.

I'm keen to know if anyone knows of any nice hand creams? I have eczema anyway but my hands are so dry and flaky. Also my nipples are so itchy, anyone else had this 🤣

@Sillysocks998 I have mine on Friday too! I'm so nervous already- what time is yours? Mine isn't until 3pm so I have to wait all day! Im hoping its all okay so I can tell people! Im also still getting nausea each eve- I was sick last night at bang on 12w so yuk. How are you other than that? Have you had any scans already?

Thanks for the advice about retinol! I didnt know that either so will have to have a look at my stuff!

You girls still with the sickness post 12 weeks are ruining my dreams, I’ve been counting down the days for it to stop haha! I threw up 3 times before 1pm yesterday... so over it! My sickness seems to have changed this week though from a constant feeling of nausea, to just more intense waves which actually make me sick but I feel a bit better the rest of the time. Not sure which I prefer!!!

Hey, ive got nausea, sickness (once a day in evening before bed usually), greasy hair, spots, a small bump now, hiccups, I rock too when I am nautious lol and just look abit ugly these days. Lol.
Scan is in the morning at 9! I had the sbc bleed at 5 weeks and early scan at 6 weeks. I also had a scan at 8 weeks and I'll have one every 4 weeks (I've extra medical needs). Apart from that, I can't decide what to eat ever! I'll order something online and not eat it! Really hoping the nausea goes so I can enjoy my roasts again. I get the waves too but if I quickly eat something I feel better. The pregnacare max I take also makes me feel sick the tablets are huge! I also inject clexane into my tummy which hurts 😭. But yes excited for Friday just hope our little bambino is doing OK 😁 lots of love x

@sillysocks998 I feel your pain, I used to adore roast dinners and I said to my mum earlier the thought of one right now makes me want to heave...

Good luck for Friday! I am umming and ahhing about paying for a 16 week scan tbh as my 20 week is bang on 20 weeks... But not sure! Apparently midwife listens to hb at 16 week appt so maybe I won't if that's all OK...

@Kirky658 I try to follow a vegan diet and hate vegetables right now 😭 so I'm now eating mini cheddars!in bed already too.
Id say try not to worry, if the MW is going to hear HB at 16 weeks then wait for that? Completely your choice. Or you could see if you can hold out and have it anytime between 16 and 20 weeks? If you want to know gender however they could probably tell you at 16 weeks.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! 😊 @Sillysocks998 I was really emotional in the scan room and was trying to keep it together. DH and I have been trying for a year so it's the 1st time I actually accepted we're finally having the baby that we so wishes for! I was in some kind of defensive denial in case my baby wasn't really there. The scan though made it so real 😭

@MrsMcNtobe the scan was comfortable for me fortunately, I just feel so shattered now but still on cloud 9!

@Kirky658 yay mid-September baby! I think that's when the UK summer weather is still holding 😎

@Sillysocks998 and anyone experiencing constipation..have you tried green tea up to x2 a day? I was incredibly constipated a few weeks ago and it really loosened things up! Also tamarind mixed with warm water helped massively!

@sillysocks998 tbh since I've had the 12 week scan I feel much more relaxed so far! Just wondering whether to have the scan so I can see our bub again to be honest 😂

@Kirky658 I am the same with roast dinners! My absolute fave normally but the thought of eating one at the moment turns my stomach! I did manage some stew the other night which I really enjoyed though. Hmmmm tough one on the scan I'm a scan addict so I would say go for it!

My scan is still a week away, I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. All my symptoms have pretty much gone except bad skin and tiredness so I'm anxious!
I had a scan at 7 1/2 weeks and all was well but I am really really worried because of the no symptoms; I know it's common for symptoms to tail off around now but anxious me is still at the forefront!

@Sillysocks998 im with you on the food thing. I get an idea in my head, order or cook it and its never as I somehow thought so don't end up eating it. My other half gets some random stuff in his packed lunches these days!

I calmed down after my 12 week scan, but that was two weeks ago and I'm feeling pretty much OK apart from food, weird hair growth, constipation and crazy dreams that I'm worrying again. I'm waiting for the definite bump to show then I'll feel better I hope. Id like to stop worrying and start enjoying it at some point!

Lovely news about your scans today 😍 who ever said they had itchy nipples me too! 🤣🙈 how random! A bit of a spotty chest and back too 😑 the skin on my arms and hands have gone really dry! I’ve got sensitive skin too which doesn’t help what I can put on it to get rid of it.
It was my first day back at work yesterday and omg I was so tired i couldn’t think straight when I got home 🥴 I don’t know how I’m going to cope if this is how awful I’m going to feel everyday until maternity leave!
I have my dating scan tomorrow I’m super nervous! I had a bleed around the sac at my previous scans I’m really hoping it’s gone and baby is ok! Tomorrow is the first time my husbands been to this babies scan, we have been ttc for 2 1/2 years so I think when he sees baby on the screen it’ll make it so much more real for him!
Debating whether to tell our other 2 children once we have our screening results back or wait until after my 16 weeks midwife appointment

Glad to hear others are having itchy nipples too 🤣 how glamorous is pregnancy... I've just put some palmers coco butter on mine and omg it felt amazing, and it's stopped them itching! Yay!

I’ve been eyeing up baby boy clothes today online, feel like it’s too early to buy anything but I’m so excited I can’t stop looking. After all these years of pink and unicorn dresses I’m excited to dress a baby boy 💙

Has anyone experienced round ligament pain yet? I think that's what I'm feeling today it's like pains on both sides on my stomach near my hips..its quite sore and annoying

On the first scan I did not have to do a urine sample, I had my weight, blood pressure and carbon dioxide test done and my scan and blood test, good luck

@Hopefulmummie I think I have, I get strange pains around my tummy but usually go if I change position and move around a bit. Sometimes when I’m sat down and get up my tummy either feels really tight or I get a kind of pulling/stabbing pain.
I just keep telling myself that all these pains are normal as my tummy is getting bigger to house the small one 💕

I was having loads of ligament pain with my first at this stage, very little this time but I guess the ligaments are pre-stretched now!

Oh my goodness, the nipple torment... even running against clothing can make them sting! Doesn't help that I'm still breastfeeding (and I think we're at the end of our 'journey', DS is starting to refuse the breast and his latch is getting sloppy... which is not helping the soreness)!

First appointment (over the phone) with the consultant tomorrow, should be interesting.

I'm also seeing my boss in person tomorrow for the first time since December... just before an intense management meeting! Think I'm going to wear a loose dress and hold off telling him until our next face to face encounter at the office. To be fair, I'd rather not become 'public property' just yet, I'm enjoying the pregnancy being private! Might try to hold off telling most people, work included, until 20 weeks... hmm.
