I hope they still do listen to the heartbeat at 16 week scans, mine is next Friday and I have been so excited for it. Apart from the nausea, tiredness and my rounding belly I could forget I am pregnant so it is nice to have a very real reminder. Just a shame that dh won't get to hear as he was able to with our older two but its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I had a lot of growth scandals with dd and ds but because ds was a big boy (his sister was tiny as I had IUGR) am not sure If I will have any in this pregnancy unless I am measuring behind which is not an exact science anyway. I will definitely check with my midwife next week and ask when I should be expecting to see a consultant. My pregnancies tend to be uneventful till the 3rd trimester where things start to go a bit south🙄. I am just taking a what will be will be approach and just trying to keep up with my exercise and eating well.

Re baby books, I am in Scotland and we get a book called Ready steady baby not sure if you might be able to find a pdf version online. It basically goes through what the scans involve, different stages of pregnancy, birth options, labour positions, bottle feeding, breast feeding, foods to eat and avoid, medicines used in pregnancy etc. It has loads of web addresses where you can access extra help.

@Kirky658 I'm a hospital girl too. I know thats where I'll feel most safe.
@FTEngineerM Haha that is brilliant. Love the sound of that. It's ordered ☺️

MrsMcNtobe · 17/03/2021 10:03

Hiiii ladies! Sorry I was so ill yesterday easily the worst day I’ve had, think it was a migraine tbh.. can someone tell me how to find the fb group? I’ve went back a few pages but I can’t find the post 😂 xx

MrsMcNtobe · 17/03/2021 10:04

@Sceptre86 I’m Scotland too and that book probably has sooo many good tips! I have the odd flick through but haven’t sat and looked in any detail yet

Bubbles1st · 17/03/2021 10:49

@MrsMcNtobe sorry you've been suffering home you're feeling better today.

If you DM @Squibble84 your Facebook name or link she will add you as a friend, invite to group and then remove you as friend. It's hidden so you can't find it yourself!!

Sceptre86 · 17/03/2021 11:27

@MrsMcNtobe migraines are a awful, I'm prone and have had quite a few this pregnancy. Hope you are feeling better now. I am trying to make more effort to read the book as I know from previous experience I won't get around to it when baby is born.

MrsMcNtobe · 17/03/2021 11:30

@Sceptre86 Is there anything you usually take for a migraine? I just tried paracetamol and napping! what’s your due date? Would be funny if we were due the same time at the same hospital! 😂

Scotti84 · 17/03/2021 11:43

@Sceptre86 @MrsMcNtobe i suffer with migraines too, have since puberty, i hadnt had one in a while then a couple of weeks ago i had the start of the headache and felt like i had a cold, completely didnt think thats how they start and suffered for two days, felt the same last week and as soon as i realised, i had a cup of coffee and it stopped it hitting fully, no headache. Not sure if it would work for everyone but when the headache kicks in for me, nothing helps but sleep, but the coffee seems to stop it taking hold.

Regards maternity clothing i got some leggings off amazon that go over the bump which i find really comfy, the ones that sit under i find dig in a bit. I also got some jeans from bon prix, do they have that in England? They sit under but with the stretchy band that goes over, theyre really loose on the bump atm and i love them!!!

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 12:11

Is anyone getting a bump yet? My husband thinks I'm getting a little bump but I'm not sure if it's just more weight I've put on! 😕

Geegee20 · 17/03/2021 12:14

@RaeRae84 yes 4! My oldest is 12 and youngest is nearly 4. It's hard but i love it. It's so tiring but I suppose its not going to be any other way🤣... yes I dnt remember being this tired with the others I think the older you get and the more you have you get more tired, because yius gotnothers to look after plus working and house work, my partner is so good so he does help alot but still so tiring. Am hoping it passes 🤞🏼🤣

Geegee20 · 17/03/2021 12:22

@AdventuresAwait oh I definitely am getting a bump. But this is my 4th an I show so early the more I've had. Am 12+2 and definitely have a little bump. But then some days I feel like i dont and it's just fat.

SP2Bx · 17/03/2021 12:36

@AdventuresAwait I definitely am! I'm wearing jeans today and definitely think I won't be getting in these again next week, so uncomfortable. Everything is just, firmer and more "forwards" than the flab that was there before 🙈 I'm 5'8 and a size 12/14 usually so not really slim or overweight I guess, so it's probs just that my bit of flab is being spread out lol 😆

I'll definitely be getting maternity clothes ordered on payday! I'm already in maternity bras and giant cotton pants 😂 so comfy.

Scan tomorrow girls 🙊 I'm so excited but a little apprehensive!

Kirky658 · 17/03/2021 12:44

@adventuresawait pretty sure I've got the tiniest little bump. I'm a size 8-10 and flat tummy normally so it's noticeable! DH says it's deffo a bump as it feels firm.

@sp2bx good luck for tomorrow lovely is this your 12 weeks one xx

SP2Bx · 17/03/2021 13:01

@Kirky658 Sure is :) I'll be 12+6 xx

crobo87 · 17/03/2021 13:10
@Kirky658 Sure is :) I'll be 12+6 xx
Good luck for tomorrow xx

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 13:11

@Kirky658, @Geegee20, @SP2Bx - thanks!
I'm a 16/18 but felt different & wondered if it was the start of the bump like my husband said. I was unsure especially as it is my first pregnancy but it is definitely more forward and much firmer just as @SP2Bx described! Thanks x

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 13:12

All the best for tomorrow @SP2Bx! Exciting xx

Geegee20 · 17/03/2021 13:20

@AdventuresAwait aww yeh you'll be getting a little bump, I cant waitn to have a big bump 😍

Rach921 · 17/03/2021 13:24

I’ve got a little bump appeared. I’m usually a size 8 so wondering if that means it’s noticeable sooner? In the morning I have a flat stomach but it gets bigger through the day 😂 I look like I’m bloated more than pregnant

Skymum82 · 17/03/2021 13:27

Hello hope you don't mind me joining!
I thought I was going to be a october mum but actually September :).
Can I ask is there a Facebook group too!
Hope your all ok.

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 13:48

Me too @Geegee20!

Ahhh @Rach921 😍

Welcome and congratulations @Skymum82!

Squibble84 · 17/03/2021 13:51

I’ve definitely gotten a bump earlier this time and I swear I’ve felt those little bubbles that are the first movements but I’m only 15 1/2 weeks so I may be imagining it! 😂

@SP2Bx good luck for your scan tomorrow!

@Skymum82 yes we’ve just started a fb group, if you private message me your Facebook name (and describe your profile pic as I’ve had some trouble finding people! 😂) I’ll add you! It’s hidden so you won’t find it by searching for it.

Mamabearwhere · 17/03/2021 14:07

I definitely have a bump and couldn’t even hide it if I tried but I did show very early from week 9 and I’m almost 14 weeks. I’m slim and size 8 but this is third baby so that’s probably why. I’ve been in maternity leggings and maternity bra for a few weeks.

@Squibble84 I definitely felt some movements last night and it wasn’t gas or air bubbles. Baby was also super active and jumpy in the scan yesterday and midwife said it won’t be long before I feel something and I guess she was right.

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 14:08

@Squibble84, how exciting! I can't wait to feel it but it may be a while for me as it is my first and I also have an anterior placenta. Is that how it feels? Like little bubbles? 😍

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 14:08

Wow @Mamabearwhere, so exciting xx
