Hello everyone,

I didn’t check the other thread for a couple of weeks as I didn’t get any notifications and seem to have missed a lot!

How’s everyone getting on?

Anyone else starting to really want a proper bump?!

Please can someone let me know how to join the Facebook group?

X

Squibble84 · 17/03/2021 14:21

@Mamabearwhere that’s exciting to be feeling babe so early!

@AdventuresAwait for me that’s what it felt like last time at first, and this feels similar. I didn’t start getting proper nudges to my belly until about 22 weeks last time - I had an anterior placenta too.

@Marshmallow123 if you private message me your Facebook name (and describe your profile pic so I add the right person!) I’ll add you, then invite you to the group. It’s hidden so you won’t find it by searching x

Skymum82 · 17/03/2021 14:27

@Squibble84 how do I message 😂😂😂. Is the group private too.
I'm still feeling sick is anyone else? Hoping it will subside soon

Marshmallow123 · 17/03/2021 14:29

@Squibble84

Thanks

I think I’ve messaged you...not sure haha

I just wrote your name at the “to” bit on the mumsnet PM section

If you don’t get anything please can you send me a message and I’ll reply?

Sorry for being useless!!

unicornpower · 17/03/2021 14:37

@Skymum82 if you click the three dots at the bottom of squibbles' post and then click PM and it should bring the messaging bit up! Im an admin too so you can message either of us xxx

leftitlate37 · 17/03/2021 15:14

wow i dont check for a couple of days and soooo much to catch up on!
Looked into some of these book recommendations - thanks for those :)
Also thinking waterbirth here but absolutely blooming terrified about how things may pan out so dont think anything will be off the table for me!
@Rach921 - v much same as u - as day goes on i swear i get bigger and bigger! Defo a baby bump as even when i've ahem...been to the loo...the bump is still there!! still just feels like im a bit fat in my normal trousers tho!
Exciting some of you are starting to feel movement already - cant wait for that stage and then hope might calm down with the never ending panic something isnt right.
Good luck those of u with 12 week scans coming up - exciting!

Maybebaby29 · 17/03/2021 15:15

@Squibble84 I’ve been feeling them wiggle and kick for the last week, I’m 14 + 1 now and everyday they get stronger so your not imagining it! With my second I felt him about now too x

Sceptre86 · 17/03/2021 15:20

@Scotti84 thanks I might give that a go. @MrsMcNtobe I normally take aspirin and cyclizine for the nausea , I know I can take both whilst pregnant but would rather avoid if I can manage. Nothing beats lying down in a dark room but with work and two other kids to take care of it can be hit and miss sometimes. I'm due the 1st of September and am in west lothian so baby will be born at St John's 🤞

Geegee20 · 17/03/2021 15:22

@Squibble84 @AdventuresAwait @Mamabearwhere tes I've felt little movements an bubble for about 2 weeks now I thought I was just Imagining it but it kept happening, so I was like no that's defo movement. Am on 12+2 with my 4th, and I've defo felt everything and showing early this time around. 😄

Sceptre86 · 17/03/2021 15:25

Has anyone found good maternity trousers for work? I want over the bump ones that cover the ankle as my ankle get massive towards the end of pregnancy. My normal trousers are getting too tight at the waist band now.

SP2Bx · 17/03/2021 15:28

Thank you everybody!

I am soooo jeal of all of you starting to feel things, cannot WAIT for that day, I've heard it's a bit like having butterflies, like little flutters?

I lie there sometimes willing myself to feel something because I can't comprehend that there is something the size of a kiwi inside me that I cannot feel! WEIRD!

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 15:31

So lovely @Geegee20!

I've been looking too @Sceptre86 and can't find any so I'll be interested to see replies! I like wearing patterned trousers in the summer too. So would love to find patterned maternity trousers.

Marshmallow123 · 17/03/2021 15:49

@SP2Bx I am so looking forward to feeling the little one too!!

It feels unreal that there’s a tiny human inside right now!!

CherylLW · 17/03/2021 16:01

@AdventuresAwait thanks 😊 I’ll look into those!

I also have an anterior placenta, when I had my 12 week scan she told me but didn’t really explain so I’ve had to rely on google! I’ll talk to the midwife next week about it... all I know is it can move and it might take a little longer for me to feel anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 16:09

@CherylLW, that's all I know too! Will also ask at my 16 week appointment next Friday.

Also, the author of The Modern Midwife book, Marie Louise, has an Instagram account too!

CherylLW · 17/03/2021 16:11

@AdventuresAwait mines next Thursday so I’m sure between us we can find out all the info 😊

Ooo I’ll have to find her on Instagram, thanks for that 😊

Marshmallow123 · 17/03/2021 16:26

@cherylLW and @adventuresAwait I also have anterior placenta, found out at 12 week scan but they told me it’s a “normal abnormality”, it may take longer to feel movement but that baby should be moving and growing ok

If you find out anything else please let me know!

CherylLW · 17/03/2021 16:33

@Marshmallow123 will do, I’ll make sure I ask as it’s one thing I keep thinking about and I hate to keep checking google for info!

Marshmallow123 · 17/03/2021 16:36

@cherylLW
Thank you! Gosh me too, I feel like Google can be such a minefield!

RadDarwazeh · 17/03/2021 16:44

@Marshmallow123 I feel like I am getting a bit of a bump. It's definitely a B shape currently. Can't wait to for the bump to "pop" and round out 💕

RadDarwazeh · 17/03/2021 16:47

Here's a scan pic girls at 12+5 I had done on mother's Day privately so my DH could come with. It was magical!

SP2Bx · 17/03/2021 18:31

@AdventuresAwait I have these saved in my "Baby Stuff" links if you're looking for patterned maternity trousers... Sainsbury's!

September 2021 thread 3 🥳
Squibble84 · 17/03/2021 18:58

@RadDarwazeh great pic! A good idea to do a private one so you could take DH along! I’m really hoping that by September, all the covid rules for partners and visitors to the maternity wards have been scrapped!

AdventuresAwait · 17/03/2021 19:09

Lovely pic @RadDarwazeh!

Ooh @SP2Bx, I love those! Will have a look, thanks.

RadDarwazeh · 18/03/2021 10:13

Anyone had experience of love leggings? I'm wondering if I should get the tall or normal hmmm. I'm 5'8 with quite a booty
