@unicornpower oh how exciting. I also got 85% girl with nub tech but adamant it’s a boy. Can’t wait to find out for sure.

Also, I announced to a few very close friends today. One of who told me I’m crazy for having a third and she can’t understand why i would want more kids. I love this friend very much but can’t help feeling a bit annoyed at the response, she’s a mum herself and has had a tough first year so I can understand somewhat, but still ... :(

@mamabearwhere don't let them dull your excitement! Xx

SP2Bx · 14/03/2021 20:28

Oh @Mamabearwhere that's a bit sad, the people closest to us can be the most insensitive at times. You should tell her how that made you feel! I'm sure she'd be mortified really she probably didn't even think.

Happy Mummy's Day everybody, I got a very cute little card and gift from the fur babies and bump 🙊

unicornpower · 15/03/2021 07:48

@Mamabearwhere oh no im sorry she said that! That's very unfair 😕 I would definitely say it upset you, noone should make comments like that even if its how they feelHmm

I bought the dream genii pregnancy support pillow girls and omg I would 100% recommend, its so so comfortable and isnt too bulky (although DH still moaned its taking up half the bed). I dont NEED it yet but i can already feel the back support and it'll stop me rolling onto my front/back! Just thought I'd share as I know we were all looking xx

Kirky658 · 15/03/2021 08:53

@unicornpower thanks for the tip lovely I'm gonna order one this week I think.
I think I might be starting to get my energy back at long last at nearly 14 weeks! Went for a run first thing which was hard though, think I might have to change to a lunchtime run instead 🤔

CherylLW · 15/03/2021 09:32

@unicornpower Oooh exciting about the nub tech! I can’t wait to find out at my next scan! Are you waiting for your 20 weeks or going for a private one?
I’ve got a private one on the 27th, I think it’s also more reassuring for me to have a private one here and there so it’s kinda like a scan every 4 weeks.

I’m having worries and stress about sleeping! I read so much about having to sleep on the left hand side.... I saw on the nhs website you can sleep left or right side. I’m such a back sleeper and my hips are so painful at night (even with all the pillows wedged everywhere). I sometimes lay on my back in bed on my phone for a bit or lay on the sofa on my back watching tv... I don’t know if this is ok and it’s playing on my mind every time it comes to laying down! I’m seeing my midwife for my 16 week next week so I’ll ask her then too xx

MrsMcNtobe · 15/03/2021 10:02

I still haven’t done the nub tech thing but I have the fear as I regularly get stuck down a tik tok rabbit hole and I’m continually seeing gender reveals where it turns out to be wrong once the baby is born 🤦🏻‍♀️ And that’s totally something that would happen to me 😂

Also had to phone the dentist this morning, had really swollen and sore gums the last few days. Apparently pregnancy related due to extra blood flow but nothing to worry about unless infection symptoms. Booked for a check up and first available was 12 April because of covid.. meanwhile just to keep up with oral hygiene and salt water

crobo87 · 15/03/2021 10:09

I am not having a good few days. I have really awful thrush. Probably the worst I've ever had,
I am so sore (sorry TMI)
Awaiting GP calling me back today.

CherylLW · 15/03/2021 10:19

@MrsMcNtobe I know what you mean! That would happen to me too I feel 😂 I would but everything all ready and then it could come out the opposite!
I’m planning on surprising my mum on her birthday with the gender after my private scan so I’m hoping they can see abs it’s correct!

Ouch about the gums, hopefully that’s something that’s just on abs off and not a constant issue. X

@crobo87 it’s awful isn’t it! I had it with my first pregnancy and was prescribed the cream that it’s injected inside and a cream for outside too. I know they have other things like certain antibiotics too if that doesn’t work. Hoping they can get it all sorted for you ASAP x

Thank you! I tried to get something from the pharmacy at the weekend but I wasn't sure what I was allowed to use and told them I'm pregnant and they wouldn't sell me anything! It's becoming unbearable.

unicornpower · 15/03/2021 10:43

@kirky658 you're welcome lovely, I just didn't want one that went round my neck as I always get a stiff neck on new pillows and this one is just back, bump and legs, it's so fab!

@cherylLW ooo we will wait until the 20 week scan I think, we haven't got another private scan booked as I figured the 16 week midwife appt would be okay as they listen to the heartbeat don't they? I'll probably cave and have a scan too haha that sounds really painful with your hips, it's so tricky isn't it, I read that the left side is best too but that it's not the end of the world if you wake up on your back, just try not to fall asleep on your back? But I don't really understand why! Have you thought about what you'll do for a gender reveal? I kind of want to do one but just film us doing something and send it to parents and family as we still won't be able to all get together Sad

@crobo87 yelp! That sounds horrible, Thrush is vile so you have my full sympathy, hope they can give you something to make you more comfortable ASAP!

CherylLW · 15/03/2021 10:50

@crobo87 thats what happened with me! I went to the pharmacy and they said no I had to talk to A GP... in the end they prescribed me what I could have got over the counter the entire time! I think they are just covering their backs too.

@unicornpower I’ve ordered two (one girl, one boy) confetti cannons so I’ll give the correct one to my mum for her birthday 💚 I can’t wait!!
Yeh I think they do listen for the heartbeat, I was reading my pregnancy notes yesterday and it looks like they take your BP, test urine, talk through any blood tests results and listen to the heartbeat... I hope they let me record it on my phone 😍
I’m going to keep trying to stick to left side but my back is just so comfy!! Maybe just even more pillows are needed!

Sillysocks998 · 15/03/2021 12:04

Hey ladies I'm 12 weeks and have no symptoms at all today! What are we like, worried when we have them and worried when we don't. Anyone else feeling all fine and dandy today and not worried lol. Literally feel OK and I'm hungry. Hmmmm

My symptoms disappeared completely about a week ago. I've had a couple of bouts of sickness since then but otherwise feeling pretty 'normal'. I have my scan tomorrow xx
SP2Bx · 15/03/2021 12:21

@Sillysocks998 Don't speak too soon haha! 😂 I seem to have really on and off days now at 12+3! Before I felt nauseous all day but was only ever actually sick in the mornings. Now the sickness can hit anytime but I feel less nauseous in between if that makes sense! Then other days I don't seem to have much of either 🤷🏼‍♀️ As much as I want the sickness gone I also find it weirdly reassuring 🙈 I've got serious dizziness/headaches the past couple of days which I've read can happen around the 12 week mark too - it's never ending! Lol. You never know though, maybe you're a lucky one! 😁 x

Sillysocks998 · 15/03/2021 12:47

Thank you ladies for replying @crobo87 and @SP2Bx

I'm 12+4. Think I just need a little symptom or 2 😅 now and again so I'm not worried. I shall see how this goes and enjoy my food for now. Let me know how things progress with you both and good luck for the scan tomorrow x

AdventuresAwait · 15/03/2021 12:59

@CherylLW, I've done similar... I've ordered two gender reveal cakes for the day we have our 17 week scan! The next day we are going to do a reveal on Zoom with our families. That's if they can tell at the scan! We will be able to meet my sister and her family (in the garden) & then have other family members on zoom (though we are considering just recording a video and sharing it if the 20 week scan confirms the gender!)

@SP2Bx, I'm getting headaches too. Anything you found that helps?

I am suddenly not sleeping well. I wake up nearly every hour and have to go to the bathroom lots. Anyone else?

Rach921 · 15/03/2021 13:59

@Sillysocks998 I’m the same at 12+4. I was so poorly up until around 11 weeks but the last week or so the symptoms have eased. I still get a bit sicky in the car but other than that I feel so much better! I feel a bit tired today but other than that, I feel normal and am able to eat normally

Sillysocks998 · 15/03/2021 14:11

@Rach921 thank you for giving reassurance. It was so abrupt one day I'm heaving over a bucket and the next nothing. Will stop worrying now and just stop thinking how many weeks and days I am. I've got work to keep me busy. Its a long time until the next scan so I definitely need to stop thinking, x

CherylLW · 15/03/2021 14:25

@AdventuresAwait gender reveal cakes, that sounds amazing!! I’ve seen so many good things like people hitting golf balls and the ‘explode’ with colour! I really hope baby is playing ball and is in a good position at the early scan 🤞🏼!! Will be so nice to finally be able to see people in the garden for all these kinds of things and as always... thank goodness for zoom 😂
Also about the needing the bathroom so much... I was the same, it was always a few times a night but last week there were some nights I was up about 8 times!! X

@Sillysocks998 I feel the same, I worry when I have symptoms and I worry when I don’t!! My symptoms have been on and off since about 11+6 and I’m now 15+3... some days I have nausea and others I’m off out feeling great!! Just making the most of the days I’m feeling good x

Squibble84 · 15/03/2021 14:30

@Mamabearwhere that’s a shame you had that reaction from a close friend - like you said, it’s probably because she’s finding it tough but it’s not something you really want to hear when you tell someone your good news!

@CherylLW I wouldn’t worry about sleeping on your back at this stage - I think it’s when the baby is big enough that it puts pressure on your blood flow from around 20 weeks, and I think the research done into it has only looked at the third trimester. In my last pregnancy, I used to go to sleep in my side and wake up on my back in the 2nd trimester. Then in the third, I basically slept sitting up propped up by pillows due to hip pain!

@Sillysocks998 from about 13 weeks my symptoms have come and gone, unless you’re one of the unlucky few that has sickness the whole pregnancy, it should start to ease off over the next few weeks!

Squibble84 · 15/03/2021 14:32

How do people feel about having a September babies Facebook group? I’m in one from my last pregnancy and it’s still going strong, we’re a really close, tight knit group! It’s literally the only reason I still use Facebook!

Rach921 · 15/03/2021 14:34

@Sillysocks998 oh bless you. It is strange how it just stops. I was the same, it went from full on to nothing. I went to my scan Friday so scared that something had happened as I felt “normal” and I’d felt anything but normal for so long. But I’ve accepted that I’m at that stage where things have started levelling out and my body is starting to behave and I can try and enjoy the process. Try not to overthink it xx

Mamabearwhere · 15/03/2021 14:40

@Sillysocks998 I know it must be so worrying when symptoms stop but my god am I counting down until I get better. ENJOY being free of sickness. I’m 13 weeks today and have puked 3 times already today and been bed bound again like week 7/8/9. I’m starting to think I’m going to have this the whole pregnancy.

@Squibble84 I think that would be lovely. I’ve joined one recently but seems they’ve all already got to know eachother so I’m a bit out of the loop but reassuring to read others posts and comments on similar stiff were going through.
