I feel ya @Hopefulmummie I was just saying yesterday how it’s making me feel sorry for myself... I am 15+1 and it pretty much left at about 13 weeks for a bit but last 5ish days it’s been back and I’m off lots of food again!

Back to supplies of ice poles and cold melon for me 😂

RaeRae84 · 13/03/2021 13:18

@Mamabearwhere it's amazing how our bodies react so differently. I said to my mum I don't understand how you've done this 3 times! And yes I was thinking about joining my local NCT. I don't know anyone that has but I thought it might be helpful to me as I have no pregnant friends/family and feel I could potentially be lonely.
@Kirky658 I'm exactly the same, eating loads and I wanted to exercise to keep weight down and mental health in check but I'm trying to cut myself some slack and stop worrying. We've nearly finished our home gym now so I'm going to try some zoom work outs instead of upsetting myself about the running. I know we can get pace back after the baby!
@Bubbles1st yes to highly irrational. I'm pretty sure it's got to be our hormones though and I'm definitely tired most of the time which doesn't help.

Sillysocks998 · 13/03/2021 13:32

I have around 5 dreams a night. Exhausting! @Hopefulmummie perhaps yours will ease around 14 to 16 weeks. I hope so soon. Its the worst way to be sick, waking up like that. Nausea and sickness gets you feeling majorly depressed but remember it's your body making your beautiful baby and just reminding you of it. Pray because it's quite lonely when your like that. And know it will go away. The nausea can go away quite abruptly. I still get it but not as much now. The last 2 days have been better but I'm still scared it'll be back. I'm starting to eat more but I'm still scared that I'll be sick. It's not like I use to be before pregnancy. I think things get better but you don't go back to pre pregnancy. Hope that helps xx

AdventuresAwait · 13/03/2021 14:34

@Mamabearwhere and @KHR1, thanks for the information. I thought my midwife said there was nothing at the moment due to covid but maybe I misunderstood! I'll look into it as it sounds good. Thanks.

MrsMcNtobe · 13/03/2021 15:42

@Mamabearwhere I got a leaflet at my booking appointment for online antenatal classes but they don’t say when you’re meant to do then, like from how many weeks 😂

Can I also ask roughly when people felt their first movements with baby #1?

Scotti84 · 13/03/2021 15:43

Hi everyone, hope youre all ok.

Bit worried atm, having a bit of pink discharge, not filling a pad but there when i wipe. Im about 16 weeks, should i be worried? Anyone else have this or something similar?

unicornpower · 13/03/2021 15:44

@Babynum1 based on what little knowledge I have of the nub theory im guessing a girl!

@Taybz two of my friends said girl too! Im convinced it's a boy still though so probably will argue the fact until someone tells me it's a boy Grin do you have a preference? I really dont tbh

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! So nice to have everyone's support! How long did everyone's bloods take to come back?

KHR1 · 13/03/2021 15:55

@MrsMcNtobe I think I felt odd flutters and pops at around 17-18 weeks in my first pregnancy.
Nearly 16 weeks this time and I think I've started to feel some flutters in the last few days.

MrsMcNtobe · 13/03/2021 15:56

@KHR1 thank you! I was reading online it can be between 16-24 weeks and I’m desperate to feel kicks just as extra reassurance.. I’m almost 14 weeks so hopefully only another few weeks to wait

Mamabearwhere · 13/03/2021 16:01

@MrsMcNtobe with first I didn’t feel until 19ish weeks. With second I could feel at around 13 weeks.

We just told our kids, their reaction was so sweet and priceless. My 6 year old was so happy she got teary. So glad we’ve told them. Anyone else told their kids yet?

Yes to the weird dreams! The other night I was having dinner with the kardashians and Kanye had suggested I go to Liverpool for therapy 🤣 this afternoon I had a nap and dreamt about ham and cooked broccoli sandwiches... very odd!
Anybody else become obsessed with a food? Mine is subway melts with all the olives they can fit in - I had one today the guy making it said it looked like the wheels had fallen off an artic lorry 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

@unicornpower that’s so exciting!! Other half is convinced baby is a boy because of the way “he stretched his legs out in the scan - footballers legs” haha. We’re wanting to book a gender scan for 16/17 weeks 🥰

Kirky658 · 13/03/2021 16:31

I've not had any info on any antenatal classes off my midwife yet. I last saw her about 9 weeks in to have my booking bloods etc done, then I'm seeing her again April 1st. Perhaps she will give me some more info then. We've been given our first baby present today from my auntie and uncle. The cutest little babygro that says "I'm proof that mummy and daddy didn't social distance" it's adorable! They weren't able to have kids after 5 rounds of ivf do they're so excited. And we told my Grandad over the doorstep today we were expecting, his face lit up 😍❤️ xx

Squibble84 · 13/03/2021 17:38

Aw it’s so nice to be able to tell people!

@Scotti84 spotting can be normal, I had on episode of pale pink spotting last pregnancy in my second trimester. If you’re worried, I’d call your midwife, they should be able to reassure you!

I’d definitely recommend the NCT classes! I’m fast friends with a few of the mums from when I did mine from the first pregnancy and they got me through lockdown!

Taybz · 13/03/2021 18:35

@unicornpower I'd love a girl to be honest! I love baby girl clothes!

@MrsMcNtobe everyone will think I'm mad but I can already feel small flutters - I'm quite petite and the baby looked rather tall on the scan so that may have something to do with it

Re: antenatal classes.. my oh and I would love to go to some but my midwife says they've all been cancelled 😞

Taybz · 13/03/2021 18:37

@Kirky658 that's the loveliest present! I love what it says 😄

Squibble84 · 13/03/2021 18:53

@Taybz that might have changed by the summer fingers crossed! Our NCt classes for DD1 who is also a September baby wasn’t until I was about 33/34 weeks.

Chlo1999 · 13/03/2021 18:58

Hi I’m a first time expecting parent and I’m abit lost on what the rules are about cot bumpers etc are they safe or should I avoid? Any advice will help but please don’t judge I just want help 💕 I’m due in September this is my first child

FTEngineerM · 13/03/2021 19:12

Just catching up

@bubbles1st if you find anything decent to get rid let me know 😬until then 😢 solidarity on the lightening but cheek.

@squibble84 that sounds so painful, did it develop from sciatica to hip pain? Or are they two separate things? I’m trying to figure out if that is what’s to come 👀😢.

@Nervymama congratulations, welcome, don’t worry you’ve found your fellow maniacs here 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ I remember the stress before my 12 week scan I think most feel similar you’re not alone. Best off and chilling rather than going into school with masses of kids.

@corbo good luck for Tuesday, I’m sure everything will go fine! It’s such a stressful time.

@Sillysocks998 good luck telling the fam tomorrow 🥳🥳 have you mentioned it to anyone yet?

@leftitlate37 I was up early too, DC is sleeping all bloody night so we’re up at 5 like woohoo ready for the day 😂. I’m sure they’ll let you know if they’re not happy with something. We’re all just winging it.

@Kirky658yes!! I dreamt I painted our neighbours wall brown but when it dried it was grey and they fucking hated it, they were fuming with me?! What is that about I don’t know 😂. I think I’ll feel better and more relaxed when I can feel them rumbling around and kicking me in the ribs everyday.

I didn’t do any last time but I think I will this time @khr1 maternity leave is damn lonely!!

@scotti84 no I keep checking every time I wipe but no pink discharge, give the midwife a call. Better to check. Have you started those long days yet?

@mrsmcntobe I’ve been feeling flutters since 12 weeks, not movement but when they flip or roll or jump around. It’s just like if you had a tiny person doing a cartwheel, gentle but noticeable. @mamabearwhere yeah I’ve felt them earlier this time too, is it because everything’s a bit stretched so more sensitive?

@kirky658 I LOVE that present 😂

@Chlo1999 the lullaby trust is a great resource, have a look at their website if you haven’t already. They don’t recommend them because it reduces air flow and possible strangulation risk as the baby gets older and moves around. Check them out though loads of good advice.

MrsTD88 · 13/03/2021 19:14

@Chlo1999 I would recommend reading the info on The Lullaby Trust website. It is advised to avoid cot bumpers etc. to reduce the risk of SIDS.

Squibble84 · 13/03/2021 19:20

@FTEngineerM I don’t think it developed from sciatica. I had SPD, pregnancy related pelvic pain, from the late 2nd trimester onwards and I think it was linked to that. I can feel it already this time so not looking forward to that. The pain got unbearable by the 3rd trimester and obviously being pregnant, there were no strong painkillers to help! 😩

FTEngineerM · 13/03/2021 19:32

@Squibble84 oh phew, I was ferociously googling then to see if my fate was sealed! That sounds super painful 😬 does it ease if you sit/lie down or is it constant?

Squibble84 · 13/03/2021 19:38

With the pelvic pain, movement made it worse, and with the hip pain, lying on my side made it worse! I’m trying really hard to practice my pelvic floor exercises this time, I was crap at remembering last time!

FTEngineerM · 13/03/2021 19:41

Yikes, I hope it’s not as intense for you this time around❤️

Mamabearwhere · 13/03/2021 19:44

Wow my nausea has returned today worse than I’ve had it the whole pregnancy! What the f is that about?? I’m 13 weeks Monday and was hoping to be better by now. I had a few ok days the last few days but today totally threw me off. I’m hoping this is the last of it now before it eases off. I’ve also been SUPER hungry but appetite exactly like those first few weeks.
