@unicornpower My scan next week isn’t until 2.30 and I already know it’s going to be the longest day!!! 😩 I’ve had quite a bit of CM but then I’m probably not the best person to ask since I appear to still be having some weird period things still going on!!!

I have a “Baby Stuff” note in my phone where I save links etc to things I’ve seen or come across that I’d like to buy but want to wait for 🙊 There’s all sorts on there!

AdventuresAwait · 12/03/2021 10:59

@Mamabearwhere, oh! Interesting that the sonographer says boy and nub tech say girl! Do you have any feeling about what baby is?

AdventuresAwait · 12/03/2021 11:01

@FTEngineerM, nub tech is a website that predicts whether baby is a boy or a girl based on the scan pic. They do the nub theory and/or the ramzi theory (with an early scan pic). They tell you how confident they are with a percentage, and return the scan picture with the details.

RaeRae84 · 12/03/2021 11:03

@leftitlate37 @Noodles4Me I'm glad I'm not alone 😂 I had it in my head from 13 weeks I was going to be a new woman!!
I normally train for triathlons and ultra marathons, now I can't even get the energy to walk the dog round the block. I think I've ran twice since Jan. It is getting me down as I use exercise for my well being, now I just feel like a lazy whale 🙈 I would love to even have a proper bump but it's just bloat and too many extra calories from all the bread and crisps!

My mum has started knitting bits but she knows I won't buy stuff until much further on. I start maternity leave in July as I wanted to be off earlier (plus work aren't being the nicest!) So I figure that's 2 months to organise my life then! I still can't believe I'm going to have a tiny human to look after, it blows my mind. I've never even changed a nappy before and I always avoid holding friends babies for fear 😂🙈 I hope someone else feels like this!!

leftitlate37 · 12/03/2021 11:12

Hopefully you'll get that energy back @RaeRae84! Same as u re the marathons and now 10k feels like a marathon...hey we can only do what we can manage and only if we feel ok! Started to read a few blogs from women in US who ran when pregnant, v reassuring in some ways and then suddenly one pops out with a sub 1h40 half marathon about 5 months pregnant!! I permanently feel like I've eaten a 4 course roast dinner and can barely move forward! Here's hoping the next week or so we will get this glow and bags of energy.. !
Oh and loved reading your last para! I have rarely held a baby! Used to panic when ppl be like of here do u want cuddles and thrust their baby at me... argh. Puppies on the other hand...! Itll b different with our own am guessing ;)
Do ppl know what happens at 16 wk appt?? Do you get to hear a HB?

RaeRae84 · 12/03/2021 11:20

@leftitlate37 I'm so impressed you are even running 10km! I am meant to be supporting a friend doing couch to 5km and only managed to do it twice and omg I thought how do I breathe!! I had covid in Jan and I keep wondering if that's not helped me but whatever it is I'm looking forward to getting back out there!! My coach said post pregnancy she ran her fastest ever marathon, I think 11 months postpartum and she didn't run herself after 11 weeks of being pregnant. So there is hope for sure!
Definitely keeping my fingers crossed for us over the coming weeks!!
Haha i think everyone is so surprised I'm having one because I'm normally petrified when they are given to me. Yes I think when it's our own you can be more relaxed and get used to it! Agree completely about the puppies!!
I'm glad you asked as mine is next Thursday and wondered. I am pretty sure we get to hear the HB though but I have no clue what else

Mamabearwhere · 12/03/2021 11:23

@FTEngineerM yes what @AdventuresAwait said, it’s quite interesting and I don’t know how accurate it really is but it’s a bit of fun (and confusion lol) I really feel like I’m destined to be a girl mum plus all my symptoms so far have been the same as my other two girls, i.e. sickness, spotty face, cravings etc so who knows. A girl would make name choosing easy as we’ve decided on one but find boy names so hard.

leftitlate37 · 12/03/2021 11:46

Just doing it while I physically can making running steps but v out of breath going slower than normal! Heard from so many ppl who have found exercise tough post covid so u really prob have got a double whammy @RaeRae84! Hopefully u might get some energy for a plod soon:)
Liking the fact we might get even better after pregnancy ha...altho age is not on my side!
A couple of ppl we've told have defo been surprised we r having a baby.. well....none more so than my mum who said r u joking? I thought u were all running and dogs hahaha
Ooo good luck for next week...how exciting, intrigued what happens.

Poppysmile · 12/03/2021 11:47

Hey guys had my 12 weeks scan few days ago everything great!, anyone fancy guessing gender?? Sooo excited!

September 2021 thread 3 🥳
AdventuresAwait · 12/03/2021 11:51

That's lovely @Poppysmile! Glad all went well.

Rach921 · 12/03/2021 11:57

Scan all done! Baby was super chilled 😂 the sonographer had me running and jumping on the spot to try and get the baby moving but it had enough and turned its back on us 🙈 we had a little wave and leg stretch at the start but other than that, it wasn’t playing ball!

Dated me at 12+1 so only a day further along so due date is 23 September.

I feel soooo relieved that it’s ok and I’m excited for the first time since I found out - was too anxious before x

AdventuresAwait · 12/03/2021 12:04

That's great @Rach921! 🥳

RaeRae84 · 12/03/2021 12:22

@leftitlate37 don't worry, I'm going to be 37 just after the baby is born and my coach was the same so age is no issue! I'm very impressed, hope you manage to keep it up for as long as possible. It's such a nice thing to be able to do.
I will try the c25km again tonight as I feel slightly less exhausted than every day this week.
😂😂 It's so funny seeing the reactions! My mum is the same, she keeps saying she can't believe it's happening. If you find a good running buggy you'll have to let me know!
Thank you, good luck at yours. I will let you know what happens in it!

CherylLW · 12/03/2021 12:33

@Rach921 exciting! So cute!! So nice to feel that bit of relief isn’t it! Xx

Good luck to all those with scans today, thinking of you all!

SP2Bx · 12/03/2021 12:33

Lovely scans @Rach921 and @Poppysmile ! That's so funny they had you try and jiggle baby around 😂

Babynum1 · 12/03/2021 14:57

Hello lovelies!! Scan went perfectly one big ninja baby in there hehe! Baby had hiccups too which was absolutely adorable!! How amazing is this experience?? Due date stayed the same of 19th of September. Anyone fancy guessing the gender?!? I attached 3 as I can’t make out if there is a nub or not 😂

So glad to see all of your scan pictures ❤️

Mamabearwhere · 12/03/2021 15:33

@Babynum1 ooh we’re due date twins Grin

Aww @Babynum1 I’m so glad it went well! Such a lovely scan photos! Hiccups is so cute!

I have no idea about gender but would be interested to see people’s guesses! Welcome to guess at mine too 😂

AdventuresAwait · 12/03/2021 15:49

So lovely @Babynum1! ❤

Bubbles1st · 12/03/2021 15:53

Babynum1 · 12/03/2021 16:11

@Mamabearwhere yay twinning! 👯‍♀️
@Rach921 thank you! It’s still so surreal even after scans! We caved and bought 2 cute little outfits afterwards 🥰
Thank you Ladies xxx

FTEngineerM · 12/03/2021 16:41

Thanks @AdventuresAwait and @Mamabearwhere I hadn’t heard of that and I’m so impatient I might give them a go 🙊!

Cute scans @Poppins2016 @Babynum1 @Rach921 glad they went well.

I think spoke to the doc prematurely; he’s called me in for thyroid testing because I was sooooo tired but I maybe feeling better, oopsy. Maybe I’m coming out of early pregnancy symptoms?!

Kirky658 · 12/03/2021 18:00

@leftitlate37 @raerae84 omg 10k?! I manage about 4 miles now at a slow 10-1030mm and I'm knackered 🤣 starting to feel better now, however I've come down with runners knee I think trying to build up too quickly again so a few rest days and strengthening the glutes should hopefully help 🤞

Squibble84 · 12/03/2021 18:30

Congrats to everyone who had scans today! Lovely to see all the pics! 🥰

All I can remember from the 16 week scan last time is they use a doppler so you can hear the heartbeat, I think they make you do the carbon dioxide blow test. I’m not sure if they start measuring the bump then or if that happens later.

leftitlate37 · 12/03/2021 18:31

Ooo yes likewise @RaeRae84 defo gonna be looking into one of those!! Hope c25k went ok tonight?
Ah @Kirky658 you're not alone with the pain! I've been struggling with hip, hamstring and calf on my left side all week...agree with u, glute strengthening gonna be happening this weekend! Defo feeling like I'm gonna fall apart one joint and muscle at a time! 4 miles is still really good going...I found 5 and a bit today felt an absolute mission so rather than being focused on distance just gonna go with what I feel like!
Congrats on all the scans today everyone :) so exciting!!!
@FTEngineerM nothing wrong with being cautious i reckon! Glad you're feeling bit better tho!!
