@SP2Bx that’s ridiculous! If a couple of days won’t make a difference then what the harm in them seeing you now just to put your mind at ease!

@SP2Bx how unsettling for the sake of a few days. I hope it's goes as quick as it came and there is nothing to worry about however I know that's easy to say.

Thanks @MrsMcNtobe @Bubbles1st , I agree, I could hear them on the phone going “well it wouldn’t do any harm just to give her the anti-D” and they still decided against it 🤷🏼‍♀️ Will see what Friday brings! Fortunately I don’t think the spotting is enough to worry having done a bit of Googling but just wish all the midwives were on the same page for peace of mind!!!

@bluemagicalsky oh how interesting about the heart rate I hadn’t heard that before. Mine was 168 but she predicted a boy although kept saying “but it’s not certain until 20 weeks”. I might do a private scan in a few weeks to find out. I can’t wait to know for sure.

@bluemagicalsky DD1s heart rate was also high so they could be on to something there!

@SP2Bx I would ring them first thing on Friday if I were you! Or even tomorrow if you’re still spotting. I guess the reassuring thing is that if they were very concerned about it, they’d have had you in. Still if there’s no harm in giving it, you’d think they’d just do it!

I found with my last pregnancy, the midwives opinions differed massively when it came to my baby’s reduced movements, it was very confusing!

@Gadea I have a gender scan on the 27th too! I had to book an early one as I couldn’t wait!

@SP2Bx I’m not surprised you’re not filled with confidence after hearing their full convo! Did you hear why they decided against giving you the anti-d if it wasn’t going to do any harm??

@Mamabearwhere, @bluemagicalsky, @Squibble84, did they tell you the heart rate at your 12 week scan? They didn't tell me at mine so just wondered how you knew your babies heart rates. Thanks!

Thank you ladies! A lot of us due on the 14th! I’m having growth scans at 28,32 & 36 weeks too which is an added bonus being able to see baby a bit more! They didn’t check babies heart rate at my scan now I wish I’d have asked!

@MrsMcNtobe, scan is on 2nd April when I'll be 17+1. Still another 3 weeks!
I've bought some things yes! But not clothes yet.

@AdventuresAwait yes they put it on my notes after the scan and now due to Covid all the reports are digital so I get a copy of it. Did you not get any summary report of your scan?

@AdventuresAwait They didn’t do the heart rate at the 12 week scan but in my last pregnancy, whenever they checked my baby’s heart rate at midwife appointments, it was always high!

I have a private scan on Sunday girls. And also not going to find out gender.

I empathise with you girls working. I've been back four days a week since June 2020. Finding it harder each day. :(

Sleeping for two hours after coming home from work so feel like I'm wasting the evenings.

@showmorekindness I was expecting to be about 11w/11+2 at my scan as I knew I ovulated late, so was quite surprised they dated at exactly 12 weeks - I kinda hoped before the scan my EDD would be later in September but not to be!

@Taybz I definitely felt so much better after having my scan! Such a relief.

Had my scan 2 weeks ago along with bloods. I was told a midwife would call about my results but still haven't heard anything. Has anyone else had to wait a while for theirs?

@CherylLW do you have a preference? My partner wants a boy and I want a girl so one of us will be a little bit happier 😋 although of course we really don't mind

That sounds so stressful @SP2Bx I hope this week whizzes by for you. Definitely made worse that you could hear them 😬 awk.

@KH512 ours says if you don’t hear anything it’s good news, then midwife will chat at 16week appt about the other stuff. Could you call them and confirm? Maybe it’ll put your kid at rest.

How is everyone feeling? I seem to be getting worse, done an online consultation thingy because I just have absolutely no energy and STILL retch all day long. Grim. Haven’t got off the sofa today. Mega dry mouth, I dunno what’s going on.

@AdventuresAwait Yeah she was just speaking out loud explaining what she was looking at etc and said the heart rate.
She did also see a bleed near my cervix but was not concerned at all so I'm taking the same stance on that!

@ftengineerm I'm 13+1 now and feel great aside from the tiredness! It's really getting me down a bit because I feel like I can't concentrate at work.

@Mamabearwhere, yes I got a summary sheet in my notes but it just says heartbeat seen, not the rate.

Maybe it is another thing that differs depending on area?
If not, i hope my baby's heart rate/heart beat was OK. She didn't mention it at all.

@Gadea I’m not sure if I do, I’ll be happy either way. Before I was pregnant I always wanted to have a girl but now I am pregnant I really don’t mind 😊 so excited to see the small one again abs hopefully find out what it is too!! Knowing my luck it will be tucked up so I can’t see!

Haven't been on in a few days due to work, tiredness, sickness and getting a new kitchen so lots of posts to catch up on!

Love seeing the scan pics - I've been up since 5am with scanxiety... So excited to see little bubs but also nervous that everything is ok.

Still have sickness and I'm another one that threw up dead on 12 weeks too.
Was hoping this pregnancy was going to improve by now but feel like I'm actually getting worse. Like last time I also had a constant bad taste in my mouth which makes even water taste awful. When googling it always mentions a metallic taste but mine is not that. Anyone else have this? I am constantly snacking at work to take the taste away and it ok when I'm actually eating but once I stop it comes back again and seems to worse the sweeter the food is. I'm like living on crisps and dry bread which is just depressing.

Also anyone else on cyclizine? I've been taking it to get through the days at work without throwing up but it makes me just want to go to sleep! I know that's a side effect but it's really affecting my work.

Do any of you have online notes? They are trialing that at my hospital which is quite useful!
I’ve just done a nub tech report it says boy! I had a feeling it was a boy my husband did too! I would have loved a girl for my last but as long as baby is healthy I don’t care ☺️ Lots of boys going on here! I know it could be wrong but I have a feeling. We had a surprise with my last, it was lovely my husband had ants another surprise but I’m too nosy! I might find out and not tell anyone 🤣🙈

Scan all went well yesterday other than baby being a bit awkward and moving around a lot which made it hard for the measurements. Feel so relieved but so tired today. Anyone any guesses on gender?
