How is everyone feeling at the moment? I'm 9+3 (9+6 going on LMP) and I feel permanently hungover. I have little appetite and insomnia in the early hours is also an issue. The tiredness is overwhelming at times... I'm working full time from home and really struggling some days to keep focused or be in any way productive.

Mrsserenalewis · 23/02/2021 15:00

@Jas87 mines on Friday morning. Luckily the headteacher letting me do it in the staff room saves me taking time off. When’s your scan

@MrsTD88 currently 8 weeks. Same here feeling so drained all the time at the moment. Looking forward to energy coming back x

Hello everyone!

How’s everyone getting on?

I’m 9+2 today (9+3 according to last scan). Just want to have my booking appointment on Thursday now. From memory my scan letter should be sent out a few days after the appointment.

I have a scan booked for this weekend too which I’m equally excited and nervous about. The last scan at 8+4 was so amazingly clear and to see the baby moving around and waving it’s arms was just incredible. Just praying things are still going well.

I am in the process of choosing between 2 clinics on Harley street to have the SAFE nipt test carried out. I’ll have that done around 12 weeks and will get to find out the sex too. Just praying the results show that things are low risk.

As for a bump yet, I already have quite a clear obvious bump. And while I know it’s bloat etc, it doesn’t go when I breath in. I guess being my 4th baby my stomach muscles are shot so things just show quicker. I remember with my 3rd having a very prominent bump by the time I went for my 12 week scan.

It’s getting very hard to hide it at work, I only have a limited amount of baggy tops. I will likely have to tell my boss this weekend if all is ok at the latest scan. But she’ll be on strict instructions that nobody else is to know!

X

MrsTD88 · 23/02/2021 19:23

@Mrsserenalewis me too, the second trimester was amazing for me last time... so full of energy and had that "glow" they all go on about 🤣 counting down the weeks!

Mrsserenalewis · 25/02/2021 06:52

Ladies I’m 8 weeks now. When I wiped this morning. I had pink mucus, is this normal. I would normally be due on today. Looked google but mixed results x

I don’t think there’s an easy answer here @Mrsserenalewis sorry! Could be hormonal because it’s around the time of your second missed period, but you’ll just have to keep an eye and call the midwife if it gets heavier or darker. Good luck xxx

buxton24 · 25/02/2021 11:06

Morning all,

Hope it is okay for me to join. I am 9 weeks, my due date is currently 25th September.

This will be my 2nd pregnancy, 1st pregnancy was ectopic almost 10 years ago.

:)

Aozora13 · 25/02/2021 12:39

@Mrsserenalewis hope all ok. It’s such an anxious time. I’m sure it’s just a hormoney thing or maybe an irritable cervix. I wish we could just know from the start when we’d get to meet our babies! I’m still on knicker-watch and regularly prodding my boobs to check they’re still sore (although sometimes it’s accidental as I haven’t adjusted to their increasing volume).

Hi @buxton24 and congratulations!

Mrsserenalewis · 26/02/2021 04:44

@Kate105 @Aozora13 spoke to early pregnancy unit. The said put a towel on for the next few days and keep track. They said it properly where the placenta is starting to take over.
Thankfully I haven’t had anything since yesterday morning. Pregnancy is just a nervous time isn’t it

I have my booking appointment today. Might make it feel more real 🙈

How are you all.

@buxton24 welcome and congratulations lovely. How you feeling. Have you had your booking appointment x

Happy Friday everyone!

@Mrsserenalewis Thank you :)

I had a 6 week scan 3 weeks ago to make sure everything was okay and i had my booking appointment last week.

I was full of anxiety prior to my 6 week scan but now we are both just so excited. Still taking it slow as it's still early days.

Mrsserenalewis · 27/02/2021 08:28

@buxton24 definitely reassuring once you see the heart beat
When’s your 12th week scan

Where is everyone from x

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I’ve been trying not to get too invested in planning and thinking ahead because I’m so nervous something is going to go wrong but I had my mw appointment yesterday and it’s starting to seem more okay to talk about it now! This is my first and I’m 9+1 weeks (due 1st Oct) but I’m estimating I will be due much later to PCOS meaning my cycles were more like 40 days long! Been feeling sick on and off and I had bad cramp yesterday which freaked me out! I’m waiting for my letter about my 12 week scan. I’m also a teacher and feeling nervous about the risks of going back to school. Hope you are all doing okay x

Mrsserenalewis · 27/02/2021 11:33

@Monstermunch87
I feel the same constantly on edge as every pain or wipe.
Need scan to hurry up. I test a lot too.

I work at the school. I’ve had to work in school every lockdown. Have the school done a risk assessment for you x

OP posts:
Monstermunch87 · 27/02/2021 11:43

No, I’ve not told them yet, I’m waiting for the 12 week scan. We’ve had a few pregnant ladies in the past few months though so I’m not expecting anything significant. I just don’t think there is much that can be done until 28 weeks

Mrsserenalewis · 27/02/2021 12:53

@Monstermunch87 I let know as I’m working everyday so far. I get nervous.
Just booked a private scan for tomorrow to break up the time.

I think I just need to see heartbeat. I think this stems from previous 2nd trimester lost.

Pregnancy drives us crazy.

Have you had any cravings x

OP posts:
Kate105 · 27/02/2021 15:38

I’m a teacher too! 8+6 today. Going to tell work this week before we go back full time, partly to get the risk assessment and partly because I know they’re starting to do the timetabling for next year already... I’m up in the NW of England.

Hope everyone is doing ok! I’ve just worked out that if I drink 3L of water a day I can beat the constipation which has been hideous since I found out! 😅🙈 feeling a bit daft now!

Mrsserenalewis · 28/02/2021 06:11

@Kate105 have you thought about when your going to stop working. How long your going to work for.

Oh no 🤦‍♀️ at least you found a solution. Not fun all these symptoms 🙈🙈

When’s your scan x

OP posts:
Kate105 · 28/02/2021 09:06

I’m not entirely sure- I suppose it depends on the COVID rules because for now our head is sending everyone home at 28 weeks, which I think would be just before the end of term in July. But ideally I’d like to work the first week in Sept (due 3rd Oct) and then come back for the last week of July to be cheeky and get my holiday pay over the summer!

Scan is on 26th March! Eeek!

Mrsserenalewis · 28/02/2021 09:47

@Kate105 same here. I want to work as long as I can. Even if I’m just waddling about. Maybe the first two weeks of September. I’ve been induced two weeks early the last two full term pregnancy due to cholestatsis.

How you feeling today x

OP posts:
Mrsserenalewis · 01/03/2021 07:41

Yesterday went well. They said I was 9w2d. They said wait until 12weeks scan and go by that one officially.

Of course my baby was upside down. This picture is a screenshot from the video. The lady poke my belly so I could see baby move about 🙈

Was lovely to see heartbeat.

My 12week scan is on the 23rd.

Don’t feel as sick today. Fingers crossed it’ll stay that way.

How are you ladies all doing. Not long till our scans. Bloods. Booking appointment for some. It’ll help it to feel real x

@Mrsserenalewis what a great photo, so clear! My 12 week scan is on 24th ... Still feels so far away (I'll be around 13.4 - 14 weeks by then).

Moominmiss · 01/03/2021 08:00

Beautiful scan @Mrsserenalewis!!! Bet you can’t wait until the next one!

The difference you’ll see will be incredible!

I had a scan on the weekend too. It dated me ahead at 10+3 meaning I’d be 10+5 today. But I’m still counting myself as 10+1 by my dates until the actual nhs dating scan.

But baby was so active, kicking and waving. Was amazing. Here’s one of the pics 🥰

Mrsserenalewis · 01/03/2021 13:05

@MrsTD88 your scan will be amazing at 13-14 weeks. So clear. Bet your really excited. Are you going to find out the sex when the time comes

@Moominmiss that’s a beautiful picture. Bet it was so lovely to see baby

When is everyone starting to but stuff.

Is everyone finding out the sex or wanting a surprise x

OP posts:
MrsTD88 · 01/03/2021 13:12

@Mrsserenalewis I know so excited, still got 3 weeks to go!

We didn't find out with our daughter and it was a lovely surprise. We want it to be a surprise again but we've decided once we tell our daughter if she's keen to know whether she'll be having a brother or sister then we'll find out.

We've still got all the big stuff from our daughter including pram and cot (I struggled to part with it all) so just waiting until the dating scan to check all is okay then will start picking up clothes, breast pump etc. X

Kate105 · 01/03/2021 19:47

Ah gorgeous scan photos 😍😍😍

I’m feeling rough as! Was sick again this morning. Grim.

I like the idea of a surprise but not sure I’ll be able to resist finding out...!
