@Aozora13

I didn’t find out the sex w DC1. Thought it would be a surprise, except I was already so surprised by actually having a baby I didn’t really care! So found out at 20 weeks w DC2 and plan to again this time. I already have 2 DDs (4 & 2) so am kind of assuming it will be another girl but happy either way! This will be our last DC so looking forward to completing our family (until I can persuade DH to get a dog!).

We’re in SE London. I’m not-very-successfully juggling working full time (WFH), homeschooling and morning sickness!

Fingers crossed on the dog Grin I agree as long as baby is happy and healthy.

We are finding out earlier to be more prepared. Thinking bedroom wise and I just love baby clothes 🙈

It’s a struggle isn’t it. Thankfully my husband is furloughed so he’s doing the homeschooling as I work in a school so have worked every lockdown still.
The sickness is so draining isn’t it xx

@mrsserenalewis I'm working but from home however got today and tomorrow off so am enjoying a rest. We will be finding out the gender for sure! DH is so excited to find out. I have got my bloods to be done today at 1230 with the midwife, hate needles, but suppose I best get used to it.
Is anyone else really struggling with mood swings? I'm 9+2 and go from being really happy to so angry at the drop of a hat. Felt like I had to force myself to be happy yesterday as was valentines day.

Aozora13 · 16/02/2021 11:23

Oh god morning sickness is really kicking my arse! Just had to turn off video on Zoom and insert crackers to avoid dry heaving in front of my colleagues!

How’s everyone else doing? Hit me with your best remedies please Envy [

Kirky658 · 16/02/2021 12:23

@aozora13 glad it isn't just me on the mood swings! I just hit DH's head off because his valentines present to me still hasn't arrived. On the morning sickness I've been lucky, I have found if I have a big breakfast that usually keeps it at bay if i then have light snacks every couple hours - I swear by finger biccies x

Cisco2 · 16/02/2021 15:52

Hello ladies, congrats to you all! I’m 8+2 due 27 Sept (according to the NHS calculator) I had my booking appointment last week and will have my bloods/weight taken next week. This will be my 3rd dc and hopefully rainbow baby after I suffered a loss last year.
Someone mentioned they are snacking on cheesy wootsits - I’ve never liked them before but my goodness I’m totally hooked! Smile apart from the extreme tiredness and sore boobs I’m feeling well and just so so pleased to be pregnant again. Praying this one makes it.

Kirky658 · 16/02/2021 16:28

@cisco2 that's me with the wotsits!!!! Lol they are the thing that dreams are made of for me right now. You're just a week behind me hehe, I'm 9+3 today. Good god I am exhausted though. I woke up every 2 hours to wee last night, then couldn't sleep, have slept for 2 hours today and now can't be bothered to even move. I've been off work yesterday and today but dreading trying to get through the rest of the week, thank god I'm home

Madeoftea · 16/02/2021 19:46

Hi ladies, congrats to you all!! Hoping I can join in, should be due around end of September.

I'm 9+1 with my first but more like 8+1 based on tracking and my early scan at 6 weeks. Freaking out a bit because I've had spotting for the last 2 weeks but trying to be calm whilst it's staying the same and not getting any worse. Doctors orders are to wait another week to see if it settles.

I've got my booking appointment with midwife at some point next week (she couldn't give me a specific time!) And I got my letter for scan already for the 8th March! So I'm waiting it out for that and getting more nervous by the minute!

Hows everbody doing with the symptoms?
I had sore breasts since starting now i am feeling little nauseous. Nothing much so far manageable symptoms. I don’t want to tell anybody untill 3 months at work. Hopefully my symptoms will cooperate with me untill then. Oh btw i am 6+2 weeks.

Mrsserenalewis · 18/02/2021 05:44

@Madeoftea welcome lovely. I spotted a lot with my last two full term pregnancies. We they normally scan you to reassure you.

I’ve had sickness really bad this time but not actually being sick.

I had to tell my work as I’m working in a school even during the lockdown. Don’t want to risk anything.

I’m sure we will all feel better after 12 week scan? X

@Mrsserenalewis I had a private scan this morning and unfortunately baby stopped growing around 7+3 and there was no heartbeat.

I wish all you ladies healthy and happy pregnancies ♥️

Skymum82 · 18/02/2021 13:48

Hi ya, this is baby number 4 for me too, pregnancy number 5. My first pregnancy was a mmc. I dread the scans.
All mine have been surprises (mainly because I hate the scans and can’t wait for them to be over). However this time we would like to know for the kids, so they have time to process it as they will be shocked 🙈. Mine are 10, 8 and 5. I’m not bothered at all by the sex as have 2 girls and a boy. This was such a shock pregnancy 😂.
I have my booking apt at 10 weeks scan on the 15th March though and should be 12 weeks. Fx

Skymum82 · 18/02/2021 13:49

Aww I’m so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you x

Mrsserenalewis I don't have a date for bloods either I'm assuming they are done with your scan now :/.

Mrsserenalewis · 22/02/2021 06:36

@Skymum82 I hope so. I’ll ask on the booking in call.

I’m hoping the next 4 weeks go quickly. This nausea is draining me

How are you x

I’ve been so rubbish at coming on here!
Had my booking appointment week before last and had bloods taken last week. Have got my first scan on 25th March.

Have had the worst nausea / sickness over the last 10 days or so. Is anyone else suffering with it too?
Any tips?

Hope you ladies are all ok Smile

Folly1234 · 22/02/2021 15:29

Hello hello!
I'm due 19th October with our first
6 weeks tomorrow and feeling completely normal so far apart from a few cramps occasionally. So far I've managed to escape the sickness and tiredness but I've probably jinxed that now! Grin

Kate105 · 22/02/2021 15:33

Hello ladies would I be able to join you? I’ve been lurking for a while but only just feeling confident enough to admit to this (even if only to strangers on the internet!)

I am 29, first baby but second pregnancy- I had an ectopic pregnancy and surgery in September, hence the caution! However because of the ectopic I got an early NHS scan last week so thankfully everything looks ok this time 🤞🏻

Had my booking appointment this morning over the phone and now waiting for the 12 week scan appointment through the post! Eeek! Due date is 3rd October 😊

Oh and the nausea has really hit now! Had a lovely few days last week where I felt miles better, then panicked because I thought that meant something was going wrong 🙈 but then spectacularly threw up my breakfast this morning so feeling rough as anything today!

Aozora13 · 22/02/2021 18:29

@Jas87 morning sickness is kicking my arse. I did find out this weekend that I feel ok so long as I’m lying down and sipping water/nibbling crackers. I have 2 kids and a full time job though so that particular remedy is not currently available to me unfortunately!

Welcome & congrats @Folly1234 and @Kate105

Mrsserenalewis · 23/02/2021 06:28

@Jas87 how long was the booking appointment. Was yours on phone or in person
Still feeling rough. Nothing seems to be helping. 🙈

@Folly1234
congratulations lovely. Fingers crossed you don’t get any more symptoms. How you feeling

@Kate105 welcome lovely. It’ll help having others to talk to. With my last one I found an online group and we all still talk 7 years later. They help keep you sane
I’m counting down to 12 weeks. So I can feel More human again.

I hope all you ladies are coping okay. Any one thinking of names or am I going crazy x

Welcome and congratulations @Kate105 @Folly1234 !!

@Mrsserenalewis the booking appointment was over the phone and lasted about an hour. Then the midwife gave me an appointment to go in and do bloods and collect my maternity pack. Have you had yours yet?

@Aozora13 good tips! I’ve tried to just eat little and often and rest a lot but like you say, it’s really hard with a full time job!!

Hoping the next few weeks fly by!
