@safxxx not sure why but iv been getting them for weeks right behind the eyes! Terrible but usually go away on their own after an hour or two today my headache went away finally with Tylenol but woke up from my nap with it again..

Safxxx · 04/02/2021 16:46

@Purplesparkle34 hi welcome, join the queue lol

nursey1993 · 04/02/2021 16:59

@Lnbarne glad im not the only one, ive went threw her bag so many times and the only thing organised in mine is my snacks 🤣🤣 I will do it tomorrow though, just incase lol.

Newmumfeb2021 · 04/02/2021 17:10

My bag was ready last weekend at 36 weeks! I was super excited to go for my last growth scan on Monday and I took my bags along as a practice drill. 😂

@Purplesparkle34 welcome to the thread! We could be baby buddies - I have the same due date with a surprise. I am a FTM.

@babydust2412 hope the nesting energy does magic for you 🤞 keep us posted

Midwife won't check dilation until at least a week overdue 😩 so I have an appointment tomorrow at 40+2 and she can't even do a sweep yet ☹️💙

Theonewheretherewas4 · 04/02/2021 17:31

Mine and babies bags are done I always redo them about 5 times so Iv done my first draft bags. Straws are one of my must haves so I don’t have to move an inch to drink when in labour and face mist, it’s brilliant for keeping you cool instead of a wet flannel or pad. Babies clothes are all in sandwich bags and labelled eg 1st outfit, spare, going home each has a hat vest and sleepsuit.

Lnbarne · 04/02/2021 17:33

I haven’t even packed any snacks because I don’t think I can have them..

Newmumfeb2021 · 04/02/2021 18:11

I haven't packed snacks either, I have asked DH to take up that responsibility! Let's see when that happens! 🤣

@babydust2412 oh my gosh seriously?! Do you think your midwife will offer you a appointment at exactly 41 weeks? Bless you, keep on being active, surely this should help :(

Theonewheretherewas4 · 04/02/2021 18:29

Iv packed things like sweets cereal bars energy drinks for me and oh and then mini cereals and pot noodles, I don’t know how the kitchen set up will be this time with Covid if there will be anything communal so il just take my own in case.

TeaPiglet · 04/02/2021 18:29

I'm 37+5 and I've ordered some cola bottle haribo and smart water (electrolytes) for labour which I'm picking up Saturday shopping.

@Babydust2412 strange thing from MW when I went to my 36wk appointment she booked my sweep in for 40+2 bang on as she said it'd have to be 39+6 or 40+2 as my weeks start Saturdays

babydust2412 · 04/02/2021 18:49

I hope she offers me a 41 week dead on appointment, I'm going to ask x
Not sure why my hospital trust has such silly rules xx
Lots of cramping tonight and have had a little bit of mucus too x

TeaPiglet · 04/02/2021 19:06

Oooh fingers crossed then! Have you got a birthing ball?

Lnbarne · 04/02/2021 20:06

@babydust2412 that’s exciting!! Iv lost some or all of my mucus plug between last night I can’t be sure which since it’s all new to me it’s coming out in pieces and I don’t know how much to expect!! I know Iv lost a substantial amount of mucus either way exciting stuff one step closer to Labor for us hopefully 😁😁😁😁

babydust2412 · 04/02/2021 20:09

@TeaPiglet yes I do, I've swapped my chair out for the ball when I do my university work, so I'm on it all day 😂 xx

TeaPiglet · 04/02/2021 20:24

I probably should go on my ball more, I'm so jealous of you both being close to meeting your babies. I was so unprepared for ages and now I've got everything ready I'm just impatient lol. I'm looking for some sort of pregnancy hack that 100% causes instant labour, so far I've found a magic wand lol

babydust2412 · 04/02/2021 20:44

@TeaPiglet haha me too, I'd love a 100% true hack that puts you into labour instantly 😂
I'm convinced this baby is going to stay stubborn and make me need an induction but trying not to be so negative 😩❤️

babbit87 · 04/02/2021 20:52

Repacked my hospital bags today, between them and overnight bags for my other DC it looks like I'm packing for holiday! Mmmm haribo tho good idea will def add that to the bag!

My nesting comes in 15 minute bursts, all I can handle at the mo!

Seems so strange how all these hospitals have different rules on things, thought they'd be a bit more go with the flow and what the mother wants?

TeaPiglet · 04/02/2021 21:22

I've got a big 4 wheel suitcase with mine and baby's stuff in. I'm taking whatever I want just in case I have to stay and can only have DH there for one hour a day so not risking running out of anything

cat709 · 04/02/2021 21:23

Love all the snack ideas!! The second I know it's happening, my oven is going on and I've got a bag of mini sausage rolls to cook!

Waiting patiently for any plug sign.. or in fact just any sign! Xx

Newmumfeb2021 · 04/02/2021 21:50

I’ve got a weird question- but please bear with me as I’m FTM.

On some YT videos I’ve seen people talk about spray for the bottom. As it will hurt to pee after getting stitches (if at all) - does anyone know what and where to get it? If there’s anything else that I should keep in my hospital bag? Does hospital provide anything like that? Nobody has mentioned to me anything like that. Not even MW.

Another question- my MW told me on my last appointment that I should bring pillows along and it’s written on my notes as well. Should I also take a light blanket for myself? Or just keep it in the car in case needed DH can bring it over. I don’t know how this works! 😕

@Newmumfeb2021
Do you mean Spritz for Bits?

TeaPiglet · 04/02/2021 22:01

I'm taking pillows and my favourite grey blanket because I didn't with my first and not only was I freezing and uncomfy with crunchy hospital sheets but I had two super flat pillows to try and put against the rails to sit up and breastfeed for 3 days. Not fun.

Newmumfeb2021 · 04/02/2021 22:03

@cat709 yes. Where should I get it? And is it required?
