Gosh I’ve struggled keeping up with it over the last week or so. Congrats to everyone that has already had their baby.
To everyone waiting, I hope it’s not too long!

Our local trust has said that they are just reminding everyone that we are in a lockdown and shouldn’t be meeting with anyone unless of course they are in a bubble with us or we are able to go for a SD walk as per the rules.

My MIL has already said she wants to be video called as soon as the baby is born, I mean I don’t know why a photo isn’t sufficient 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Safxxx it’s on the positive birth company’s hypnobirthing digital pack. I got it on a Black Friday deal for £20. It’s ok, quite repetitive. I prefer her book. She says there’s no point having a sweep unless you’re going to be induced anyway. I guess there’s not much evidence that they do much unless you’re about to go into labour anyway. I’m still going to ask for one at 40 weeks. X x x

Since I came home on Sunday we have seen nobody and don’t plan on seeing anyone, Leila is far to little to risk it and I am going to take a while to recover too, we have video called the grannies and friends siblings etc and that’s the best we can do at the moment.

@Muriel84 thanks, yeah i rather go for sweep first too. The consultant told me everyones diffrent its how our bodies react to the drip they use in induction, she said could take hours or days, and for some it comes to a point that theres no progress or baby is distressed and end up with C-section.
Bearing that in mind i thought why put myself and baby in that situation? So decided now if overdue then sweep and wait....

@Safxxx i am hoping for natural as well I haven’t heard good stories about that pitocin they use iv heard it makes for a harder labor and more at risk for csection! I went ahead and did a sweep in order to hopefully avoid it altogether. My mw said that I could push off induction one more week which would put me at 42 weeks but no longer than that.. she is hopeful that I will go natural though!! I’m 70-80% effaced and a centimeter and a half dilated which hopefully is a good sign.. she said that my body has made a lot of progress in the past week (I was only 20% effaced) which is why I think she is hopeful!

You guys I'm so glad I've got all of you. I'm scared. Vomiting has come back for the past few weeks. I'm 37 weeks today and feeling weird stretching in my vag and a burning feeling.

@Lnbarne you can have a second sweep but hopefuly this one is effective 🤞
Your already making progress so its a good sign.

@faithfulbird20 have you spoken to someone about the burning sensation? You might have an infection, do get it checked out. Xx

A quick little update whilst I’m up doing the night winding (takes so much longer than the night feeds!) but my ds was born 30th jan

Hugo Loxley Ian, weighing 6lbs 14oz , a tricky delivery (first contraction Wednesday, active labour Friday evening, waters broken @ 6:40 and c-section Saturday 9:49am!) but a gorgeous happy boy

@Safxxx glad growth scan went well. Little baby has had a little growth spurt since your last one! I have mine this morning will see how's she's doing hoping induction is off the cards if she's had a good 2 weeks of growth but we'll see xx

@faithfulbird20 didn't have it with previous 2dc but vomiting came back for me just after 37 weeks - usually mid morning and left mw feeling groggy rest of the day. Not so sure about burning sensation tho - worth giving the mw a call as it could be a UTI maybe?

@Safxxx I would do the same in your position too. It’s not like your body hasn’t been through it before.

Echoing others that said hospital didn’t mention having to isolate after birth and actually seemed a bit bemused when I asked the question

Newborn cuddles are great but Isaac was up most of the night cluster feeding (he might have been 7lb at birth but is in the bottom centile for length so hoping all this cluster feeding moves him out of tiny baby clothes soon!). Never been so thankful for DD going to nursery as I am today 😂😴

Morning everyone firstly congratulations to all the new mummies and hi to all the new comers, I know I’m a March date but I can never find their thread and I’m convinced this little lady will appear this month. Sorry Iv been so quiet it’s been a busy time in our household, we’ve sold our old house but thankfully we’re already in our new one so it’s just been getting all the bits out of cupboards and the sheds and going through them. We also quite suddenly lost our ddog after 12 years which has been horrendous on everyone. Thankfully so far all’s well with bump but I can feel she’s still breach and I’m so uncomfortable I’m back with the midwife tomorrow so wel see how that visit goes, bump always measures small (all of mine have) 9/10 centile so I get sent for scans and she’s sitting at 40 so I’m ready for tomorrow being an all dayer going here there and everywhere!
