We're still waiting on updates from @Dorset555 and @ClockSpanner. They both went into labour a few days ago

Hi guys so Poppy arrived on Monday evening...we had to have a emergency csection in the end but the NHS were and are being literally amazing - the best laid plans don't mean a thing if your baby has other ideas...but that's fine! Wishing everyone good luck, we are staying in hospital for another few days with antibiotics etc but making to most of social interaction and really hood breastfeeding support! Poppy weighed 8lbs 8 - this was after measuring in the 90th percentile + throughout- xxx

@Dorset555 very similar to mine! We ended up with an emergency section after 29 hours of labour and getting to 10cm with him in the wrong position 😩 my temp rocketed during labour so we both ended up on antibiotics due to him having high infection markers in his bloods xx
We are finally home now ❤️ so wishing you both well and fingers crossed you will be home ASAP 🤞🏼😊

@Dorset555 I'm so glad baby's here safely and you're okay too, that's the main thing. Hope you're enjoying your newborn snuggles. I've been thinking of you and hoping you were well.

@Muriel84 hopefully you arent too far from meeting your little one! Maybe this sweep will do something for you and you'll not need the induction date!! Just go with it & see what happens 🙃
Still no movement over here, 3 days till due date! But Ive developed carpel tunnel to add to the list of other lovely pregnancy symptoms, didnt know how sore it would be ! So trying to stay off my phone as its my dominant hand lol. Apparently its very common and it goes straight after birth , heres hoping!!
We are almost there 🤗

@Muriel84 really hoping these sweeps do something for you 🤞🏼🥰 you're doing so well waiting so long, it'll all be worth it when baby finally decides to make an appearance ☺️

Anyone who's going overdue try not to panic, I worried so much about having to be induced and all sorts but I went into labour naturally at 40+6 ❤️ so don't lose hope and even if induction is the only option, your bub will be with you by the end so it'll be worth it ☺️

Hi, Ladies

I'm getting leg cramps and lower back pain. It feels like period pains. I've only got 7 days left. Anyone else having these symptoms and is it a sign of labour.

@MissKhan1990 I had this over the weekend, now Wednesday and nothing has happened for me and the pains seem to have gone 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm so tired and fed up. I just want it to be over now 😩

I'm taking it that nothing is a sign of Labour until the heads hanging out. I bloody quit.

@MissKhan1990 I'm getting impatient now as I just feel like an overgrown penguin lol. I've got 6 days left so we could both be still here until the end 🙄

@TeaPiglet I'm following the same advice as you until this baby's head is halfway out its not in labour haha.

Seriously though all these stop start symptoms are such a pain. I start the day disapointed and end the evening with so many symptoms I think tomorrow will be it and wake up again with nothing!!

I have my first sweep tomorrow so hoping that will help as I find walking really uncomfy feel like the baby is sitting on my pelvic bones.

@Safxxx @babydust2412 @ @jbx10 thanks ladies. I really hope I don’t need to be induced. Been up half the night again and feeling very mopey and sorry for myself this morning. Had a good long cry. Hate being in such a negative frame of mind. I was on such a high at 40 weeks I didn’t think going over would be this tough. Wish the dating scan hadn’t brought my date forward.

I am also now ignoring every twinge until my waters break or I’m clearly in full blown labour.

Can’t be bothered to get on my ball. Walked loads the last few days and made no difference. Third sweep booked for tomorrow morning. Might ask for another one over the weekend if they can.

@Muriel84 I love the name poppy but having a broad Yorkshire DH who pronounces it 'pop-eh' instead of 'pop-pea' put me off all names sounding like that 🙄😂

@TeaPiglet 😂😂😂 my partner doesn’t like names ending in y cos his last name ends in a y! It rules out a lot names... x

I've got a sweep booked for 26th but not sure if I'm actually going to go ahead with it.
Hope you have some luck with your sweeps though! I had bad "period like pains" last night, on and off for a few hours and bad back pain. I was convinced I was going into early labour, think I just wishful thinking as it's calmed down today and only very very mild.

Got a mixure of stomach cramps, periods cramps, lower back pain, achy legs and feet and alot of all over pressure down below and pelvic pains. Been on going since yesterday evening. Baby is not moving much since i've been getting these symptoms and thats worrying me. Tummy feels very hard and painful.
Had to cook for lunch and dinner and it was torture 😢

I had to ring the hospital the other day due to reduced movement and they said drink pints of cold water and lie on your left, turned out baby was just having a rest because as soon as I did that she started wriggling away.
If you are at all concerned give them a call, they totally understand how nervous we all are, could be that they say you're in early stage labour but at least it'll put your mind at ease
