Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@bewitchingnight thank you ☺️
I definitely am loving toast at the moment! I think last week that and sandwiches were my main meals. I've read everything to try and help but nothing works.
I totally agree with you, you want to be healthy especially if you normally are but i guess we just have to eat what's getting us through.
That's what I keep thinking, that the symptoms are a lot worse this time round so maybe it's a good sign. Just wish we didn't feel quite so rubbish!!

duchessrose · 31/01/2021 22:23

@RaeRae84 Congratulations! Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good. I'm sure Covid has made it worse, many people feel tired because of it even without being pregnant. Just be kind to yourself and take supplements if you can't get vitamins in any other way.

@jellybean13419 Tiredness is my main other symptom. I have a toddler who luckily still takes 2-hour naps, and I've started sneaking off for a nap when she does! It means I get nothing useful done all day, which makes me feel guilty, especially as DH is wfh.

Hopefulmummie · 01/02/2021 10:45

Does anyone know if there's any good anti sickness tablets you can buy from chemist? My GP is a nightmare to get through to and I need something asap

Mamabearwhere · 01/02/2021 11:33

@Hopefulmummie not sure about tablets but I’ve started wearing the anti sickness bands the last few days and they’re taking the edge off slightly. That combined with drinking something fizzy really helps me get through the day.

Hopefulmummie · 01/02/2021 11:50

@mamabearwhere where did you get the bands? I would give them a go.

I can't stomach any food it's getting worse

Mamabearwhere · 01/02/2021 12:08

@Hopefulmummie I got them off Amazon, here you are and good luck!!

RaeRae84 · 01/02/2021 12:36

@Mamabearwhere thank you for posting. I've just ordered some too now 🤞

RaeRae84 · 01/02/2021 12:37

@duchessrose thank you very much. Yes I think covid has had an effect definitely. I was tired last time but not as bad as this. I'm going to call the midwife this week, maybe that will make me feel less crap as well!

Mamabearwhere · 01/02/2021 13:21

@RaeRae84 I had Covid just before falling pregnant in December and the fatigue and nausea were brutal so I can imagine how hard it must be combined with actual pregnancy fatigue and nausea. Hopefully it eases once you get better from
Covid. Take good care of yourself and rest up.

RaeRae84 · 01/02/2021 13:29

@Mamabearwhere thank you ☺️ I'm resting a lot between work. I wish I could work from home but our company don't allow it so after isolation I'm back in the office. Hard when you can't really tell anyone what's going on either! Just keeping everything crossed it will all be worth it when I see my first scan 🤞

bewitchingnight · 01/02/2021 13:58

@Hopefulmummie second the travel sickness bands - for me the nausea isn't completely gone but it's taken the edge off. I bought mine from Boots one desperate afternoon!

jellybean13419 · 01/02/2021 17:14

Hi everyone.
Lucky to not have sickness yet over here. Sorry to those that do have it and lots of love. But the trapped wind and bloating for me are causing some serious pains. Anyone got any remedies? I'm drinking peppermint tea in the suggested safe doses for pregnancy. But no clue what else to go for?? Any tips?

InTheLibrary · 01/02/2021 18:56

I’d give my nausea a 5/10 at the moment. I said to DH that it’s a bit like when you haven’t eaten and your hungry and have an empty stomach.
It’s definitely not an empty stomach, I’m eating every 2-3 hours which helps with the sickness.
Trapped wind and bloating here too. Peppermint tea, water, lots of fibre.

Scotti84 · 01/02/2021 20:12

I think I’m on the way out of the nausea now, certainly not as bad as it was and I managed to avoid actual sickness. But I feel for you all still in it. I just drank lots of water, fizzy drinks and tried to eat even if I didn’t feel like it as it helped it settle. As for the bloat and trapped wind, I find laying on my stomach for a bit helps, or massaging my stomach so it moves around. Not pleasant but better out than in!

My current struggle is cravings and aversions... still can’t stomach the thought of veggies and really want fried bread with baked beans! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Mamabearwhere · 01/02/2021 20:34

@InTheLibrary that’s exactly the feeling, feels like I haven’t eaten all day yet in reality I’ve had about 10 mini meals but within half an hour it’s back to they empty stomach feeling. It also doesn’t help when you haven’t got an appetite/craving so nothing tastes great. Except for potato smilies. I’ve had about 10 today. And diet coke. Lovey and healthy (!)

Duesept21 · 01/02/2021 21:06

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and my nausea is getting worse each day. Today I'm at the almost throwing up stage. All smells are staying and awful and I have a constant bad taste in my mouth so need mints or chewing gum all the time. I keep craving something but then when I taste it I no longer want it! I went shopping this afternoon and really fancied sorbet but they didn't have any 😩 got some ice lollies instead but they didn't do it for me.

What is working for anyone else?

Equimum · 02/02/2021 10:03

Sorry the nausea is getting worse for you Duesept21. I find sipping fizzy drinks, sucking ginger pastilles and eating a small portion of carbs food helps.

Mamabearwhere I so get the potato smilie thing. DH made roast potatoes on Sunday and I ate at least 10 cold ones yesterday. I really fancy curly fries but cannot get them in our village.

Noodles4Me · 02/02/2021 13:33

I've still only hot waves of nausea for about 30 mins after I wake then am fine. Very lucky, I know.

Boobs huge, peeing even more and have a bump now. Anyone else got a bump at 10 weeks (tomorrow)? Blush

Bubbles1st · 02/02/2021 13:43

@Noodles4Me whilst I'm sure it's because I am
Overweight to begin with and just bloated I am only 8 weeks and I have a bump. I've been taking photos and definitely changing shape!

Scotti84 · 02/02/2021 14:02

@Noodles4Me i have a bump of sorts but not sure if it’s baby or bloat. Maybe half half! I like how were the same date, we can compare 😂

I read that the placenta starts to take over about now so we should start feeling better. I can’t bloody wait!

Mamabearwhere · 02/02/2021 14:42

For those with nausea, DH went to get my a bottle of ginger beer just now and it’s given me amazing relief of this brutal all day sickness, working much better than Diet Coke so I recommend you try it.

Regarding bump, I definitely feel like my sides are filling out and certain workout leggings feel suffocating to wear so something is happening but I am also really bloated

Noodles4Me · 02/02/2021 14:54

Yes, there is bloat but quite belly hard now, must be placenta...saw a bit of newly formed placenta on the scan...wonder if that is making me constantly pee too.

I've got maternity leggings, best thing ever. And have to wear OH's tops as mine don't fit.

God, how huge am I gonna be Shock

leftitlate37 · 02/02/2021 15:43

Glad u lot are feeling this! I'm feeling massive and bloated....loose tracksuit bottoms on for slobbing round the house! Doesnt even subside overnight, wake up and have this big hard tummy! Also wondered how big will end up in 9mo if this is 9 weeks!

jellybean13419 · 02/02/2021 16:43

@leftitlate37 I feel ya on this one! Have been wondering the same thing all day. The bloat is real! Have you found anything to help??

leftitlate37 · 02/02/2021 16:58

fraid not @jellybean13419! sorry you are feeling it too,its horrible! i'm just avoiding the mirror and wearing my loosest clothes so a waistband digging in doesnt emphasise how bloated i feel!
