Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@LittleAurora @Mamabearwhere last week was fish week for me! Craved tuna sarnies and battered cod (from the oven), I could really go for salmon but heard it’s not ideal atm.

Citrus fruits are my thing too! Have got some citrusy ice lollies so I get my fix without overdoing it.

I’m also lacking in appetite @Hopefulmummie and have aversions to veg atm! It’s so frustrating cos I think ooh I fancy a tuna sarnie so make one and only eat the half. I asked my doc and he said not to worry, the hunger will come. I’m trying to eat blended veg soups to get some vitamins into me, taken a liking to a splash of balsamic vinegar in sweet potato soup... 🤷🏻‍♀️

My poor other half’s suffering cos some days I either can’t be arsed to cook or I just can’t stand the smell!

Bubbles1st · 29/01/2021 22:02

All that everyone is mentioning is just so difficult when it comes to food.

I just can't bring myself to do a food shop because I have no idea what to buy. My DP doesn't know if he is going to get a meal or a sandwich and when I leave him to it what he cooks smells so bad to me. He can't win 🤣

Duesept21 · 29/01/2021 22:52

@LittleAurora dry foods for me. Same are last time I'm fancying very strong salt and vinegar crisps and also Cadbury creme eggs (luckily the shops are full of those now... Sending partner for some tomorrow!) I'm so hungry all the time but feel awful after meals. Bad taste in mouth too 🤢

Scotti84 · 30/01/2021 13:16

Anyone struggling with dry lips? I always get cold sores when I’m a bit run down but the edges are cracked and dry as a desert and the middle is also really dry and starting to hurt. I’m using blistex but it’s not really making any real difference.

Mamabearwhere · 30/01/2021 13:45

I just had my early and I’m measuring at 6 weeks 2 days and due date 26 September which is 1 day difference to my older daughter 🙈

Mamabearwhere · 30/01/2021 13:47

I meant to say early scan

FTEngineerM · 30/01/2021 15:25

Had booking appt this morning with midwife and a scan this afternoon, all good saw a little heartbeat❤️ 7 weeks 2 days so EDD 16th September.

I feel so much better. Still nauseous though, not I know that I’ve got roughly 5 weeks left of feeling like this it almost feels better. I know where the end point is 😀roughly.. of course.

@Mamabearwhere they may share a birthday!!

@FTEngineerM lovely all is well and scan was positive must feel good :)

Mamabearwhere · 30/01/2021 16:01

By the way for those with nausea today I have discovered that sipping on Diet Coke really helps with it and really soothing. May not be the healthiest choice but it’s making me get through the day.

MrsTD88 · 30/01/2021 17:20

@FTEngineerM congratulations, how lovely 😍

Equimum · 30/01/2021 18:10

Congratulations FTEngineerM

jellybean13419 · 30/01/2021 19:23

Hi everyone!
Been cautiously watching this thread. I'm 5 weeks 4 days, got my first BFP on Tuesday just gone after having a negative test the Tuesday the week before. Checked on Wednesday just gone and another positive. So this definitely must be happening!
29 years old and first baby.
EDD 29/9
Luckily haven't been feeling too bad. Just sore nips and allllll the bloating and trapped wind. Hormones are so fun aren't they..
Just wanted to say hi and wish sticky baby dust to everyone!

Mamabearwhere · 30/01/2021 19:43

@jellybean13419 congratulations on your positive test!!

MedusaRex · 30/01/2021 22:55

Hello, everyone! Im from the US, but I'm 36 and due 27/9 and enjoy reading everyone's posts, so do you mind if i join you? Grin

I have my first scan February 9th and i have been a nervous wreck.

My daughter is 14 and my son is 12 so this will be my 5th pregnancy and 3rd child!

duchessrose · 31/01/2021 00:25

@jellybean13419 Congratulations! I only did one pg test a few weeks ago and I went for my first scan this week...when I was there it crossed my mind that maybe I should have taken another test just before the appointment and it would be awkward if it turned out nothing was there! But I'm quite nauseous (and occasionally a bit moody) so I definitely feel pregnant!

Congratulations @MedusaRex. I'm pregnant with my 3rd child too!

@FTEngineerM lovely scan photo!

bewitchingnight · 31/01/2021 13:10

Hello all I'd love to join this thread too please. Congratulations everyone, so exciting to see some people have had scans already.

I'm 33 and this will be my first baby, I am 8+2 today and due on 10th September. Feeling pretty nauseous and tired! My booking in appointment is in 10 days and apparently I get my scan date after that, I can't wait Smile

jellybean13419 · 31/01/2021 14:58

@duchessrose I'm hoping that the two tests are enough. It is hard to not overthink everything isn't it! How's things going for you since your scan? Have to had any other symptoms other than nausea?

@Mamabearwhere thank you so much! Congrats to you also. How are you feeling? Where did you have your early scan? We have one booked on the 18th at Window to the Womb.

@MedusaRex hi to you! How are you feeling? Congrats by the way. Looks like your early scan is about a week before mine. The anticipation is so hard isn't it!

FTEngineerM · 31/01/2021 15:33

Thanks everyone, I’ve noticed DP being more ‘into’ the pregnancy since seeing the little heartbeat.

Congratulations @jellybean13419 and @MedusaRex must be mega excited? Hope the scans go well for you and the week doesn’t drag Grin

I’ve suddenly become obsessed with chips, I never used to eat them and I’ve had them every day for a week!!

Scotti84 · 31/01/2021 18:52

I’m craving scampi 😩 proper fish n chip shop scampi with chips n mushy peas. They don’t have that over here so I have no chance of even a proper chip 😩😩😩

FTEngineerM · 31/01/2021 18:59

Where are you @Scotti84 ?

Equimum · 31/01/2021 19:36

bewitchingnight congratulations and welcome.

Welcome MedusaRex. I’m also expecting my third. Older two are 5 & 8. Where in the US are you? We spent a year living in New Jersey between having our older two.

I’m another one completely off veg and craving fatty, salty foods. I made vegetable soup yesterday and then couldn’t stomach it. DH then cooked a Mediterranean supper, with grilled vegetables, spiced tofu and also, and that was just as bad. Today he cooked cheese on toast and a roast, and I ate loads!

RaeRae84 · 31/01/2021 21:13

Hello all, I've just joined this site as I feel like I need people to talk to.
Firstly congratulations to everyone!
I got pregnant last May but lost it in July, it seemed to go on forever but I'm pregnant again, found out over xmas!
Going by the date of my last period I am now 9 weeks. I haven't rang the midwife yet because I lost my last one at 9 weeks and I didn't want to go through all the information again until I felt ready.
My main reason for posting is my morning sickness is really getting me down. The last two weeks I've really struggled. I was tested positive for covid just over 2 weeks ago and I didn't know if that's what made it worse. I definitely wasn't this bad last time.
I feel I should be happy that something is obviously going on but I'm getting really down. I'm an active healthy person normally but now I don't do anything except lay in bed or on the sofa. I'm struggling with food as the slightest thing makes me sick. I'm living off sandwiches, crisps, biscuits. I think my husband is really struggling with me as he's not used to me being ill or lounging around.
I just don't know what to do to make myself feel better, I feel like I'm locked in a permanent hangover. I just want to be happy that I am getting another chance.
Does anyone else feel like this?

Scotti84 · 31/01/2021 21:24

@FTEngineerM I’m in south Germany, in the mountains. I can get as much schnitzel and strudel as I want, but all the proper English food I’m craving is just not here! I ordered some online but thanks to Brexit it’s been stuck in customs for two weeks 😂👍

bewitchingnight · 31/01/2021 21:30

@RaeRae84 Oh no, that sounds so hard. I know how you feel (a bit!), I want to feel like the healthiest version of myself but I'm just lying around all day feeling sick and have no energy. Gone right off vegetables and basically just want to eat toast. I had an early mc earlier this year as well so the one grace in feeling awful is that I hope it is a sign that things are going ok in there.
I can't even imagine having covid as well, that must be so tough. My sister in law had it in her third trimester and she said the tiredness was like nothing else. Lots of sympathy from me to you.
