@Poppysmile that’s so good you’re getting your scan so soon and don’t have long to wait to have your mind put at rest! I can’t complain really as I had one a couple of weeks ago due to the fact I was having quite a bit of spotting but all was well thankfully, I’m just impatient to see the little wriggle bean again 🙊

@Poppysmile is it maybe trapped wind? I suffered sooo badly with it and it was so uncomfortable x

@2021mumma yes that’s what Iv read on google and it’s on my what to expect app and it does all sound similar as it goes away when I’m sat down I can just feel it when doing day to day things!, Thankyou for replying

@Poppysmile I’m also getting this too! Since yesterday and on and off today! I think I may have another UTI, is it worth dropping a sample off at the doctors to check?

Think I’m going to tell mine soon, just had returning PT after may leave agreed so now that’s out the way I’ll drop the bombshell. Our company has only just made a maternity policy I laughed out loud, a month before I start to return to work. Great timing guys.

Yes @Maybebaby29 I’ve read all sorts about strep so just pop it in and they can do the rest. Better to be safe.

@poppysmile I get trapped wind a lot, its an awful pain, I had it while running in the early weeks it stopped me dead! I found gently rubbing my tummy helped.

@ftengineerm thanks lovely, I am so relieved. It was going to say it was weird announcing over teams, but I'd have to have done it over the phone in normal times as I'm a remote worker anyway as the office is based in London. Said she's happy to look at any adjustments for my job when the time comes. Tbh putting me on furlough would be ideal 🤣 my colleagues are all dead chuffed for me as well, I'm the youngest in my team for 15 years and the only one who wants kids so they're all chuffed for me. X

@Poppysmile I’ve had some tummy cramps the last few days, felt like mild period pains. It does come and go and not consistently there.

Speaking of aches does anyone get hip/side pains during the night? Omg I wake up I’m agony from sleeping on my side and I cannot believe it’s only first trimester what’s going to happen further down the line when we get really uncomfortable?! I thought it was my underwear so I bought some non visible line ones which are super smooth yet I still woke up with my hips numb and achy!

@Mamabearwhere yes to the pains at night. I feel really comfortable and cosy going to sleep then wake up with searing pain in my hip and can barely move. Manage to roll over and then it goes. When I wake up in the morning it's then more of a dull ache for a bit.

@Mamabearwhere yep def hip pain and sensitivity. Also itchy hips? Maybe new stretch marks are gonna develop there. I am mega hourglass so widest bit of me is hips xx

Morning everyone. My scan yesterday went well :) they pushed me up 4 days as was measuring infront so 12 weeks now. We baby was flipping round to it's side when she was trying to measure lol was amazing seeing it moving about. New due date is 16th September :)

@FTEngineerM same as me this morning. Was up from 5 because I couldn’t get comfortable, my hips aching and my back aching. I ended up sitting up for a bit to get some relief whilst Googling pregnancy pillows. I never had one my previous two pregnancies but feels like I’ll def need one this time. Which one have you got? Do you recommend it?

I would highly recommend a pregnancy pillow even this early on. I got one a few weeks ago and I've had the best sleep every night ever since

My scan yesterday went well, I couldn't believe how much the baby was moving around, sucking their thumb, even waving every so often 😁 it was so funny and cute.

New due date 8th September

@Mamabearwhere I’ve only had the one so I’m no expert but its the ‘Kolbray® C Shape Pregnancy Pillow - Full Body Maternity Pillow’ and is soooooooo comfortable. The only down side, which may make me sound bonkers, the cover has gone bobbly after one pregnancy 😬 like the under arm of a cheap polyblend cotton T-shirt. Eurgh I hate hate hate it. Luckily without the cover the liner is super soft so I just use it without now.

Fingers crossed you can squeeze a nap in @Bubbles1st
