Ohhhh ladies I'm so nervous, I can't concentrate on work. I've spent most of the morning googling what could go wrong at the scan today... I'm just dreading measuring behind, I don't know why, I think it's because I had it in my head I'm 12 weeks on Saturday so can announce to work next week then do the big announcement to everyone else shortly after. Out of curiosity when's everyone else announcing if you haven't done so already? My DH is chomping at the bit desperate to tell everyone xx

@bewitchingnight we are due date twins? I'm 12+5 today :)

I'm quite a big girl so my bump is definitely a B bump rather than a nice rounded little thing. However I'm definitely growing and certainly not usually this shape !
My DP actually things I'm slimming down else where - I think it's just an illusion but I'll take it!

Our daughter is 18 months. She's posed for a photo with the scan picture but probably won't understand what's going on until baby is here.

We announced to close family on the Sunday after we had the scan on the Friday.

@khr1 that's nice. We've told close friends and family already so this will be the 'big announcement' if you like. Just trying to decide if we wait or just go for it if today is all ok

Oh I know! All my appointments so far have been at 9am so this feels unfair! It'll be a long morning for sure.

@Allicit I’m a July baby and definitely felt way more behind until I got to year 3. Really relieved I’m having a September baby for this reason!

@Bubbles1st deffo see a bump coming! I think I’m going to take lots of bump growing pictures this time, I didn’t take one last time other than when huge and purple 😂🤭

Wow, I am seriously impressed (& a little bit jealous) by all these bumps. With my first, we told DILa when we saw them at 17 weeks, and I still barely showed (we were away DSILs wedding so Disney tell them until the end of the weekend, and nobody had guessed!). It was more obvious with my second, but I still didn’t need maternity jeans for my 20 week scan (although was noticeably pregnant in photos from a wedding at 24 weeks).

Just had some maternity jeans from H&M come out the sale, this is my bump! 3rd baby, 7th pregnancy. I’m 12 weeks 3 days today

@Kirky658 stay off Google! Try not to stress too much, I know its easy for someone else to say but please try and relax. MMC aren't the norm and you've had scans already havent you that showed everything was okay? I'm sending you a hug! We will announce if all is well once we've got our screening results back! Im dying to tell my friends, I feel like they know something is up as ive had to ditch loads of zoom calls because of sickness etc but I really just want to be able to be honest with everyone haha I want to do a cute announcement with the dogs somehow.

I am eating so much it’s the only way to curb my nausea basically toast and biscuits all day! I’ve put on weight but I’m not weighing myself as don’t want to depress myself. When I feel less sick I will eat more healthily but needs must.

Kirky658 I would absolutely second what unicornpower says. MMC are actually relatively uncommon, and the vast majority of people get positive news at the 12 week scan. Stay away from Google, and good luck.

My best friend already knows and we have told our eldest that there is a chance we may have a baby. He is 8 and was really worried about me when I was feeling so sick and tired. He was convinced I had COVID and got really upset when I went to the midwife (we told him I was going to the drs). We decided it was best to just tel him, but to say that until the scan is taken, nobody knows for certain. I’m dreading telling my mmm, as she is very anti 3 child families (I am the youngest of three, but she feels her childhood was awful because she was the middle child). I know she will also think I am too old, and be cross with us for taking risks.

Ladies anyone had any cramping around 10/11 weeks? The last couple of hours I’m having quite a bit of cramping :( no bleeding or any other sinister signs. Haven’t dared to google so I came here instead. Ironically I’m always feeling a bit better with the nausea today so I hope they’re not linked :(

@Maybebaby29 I’m looking for new jeans! This is random but if I’m a 14 normally, do I just buy a 14 maternity size or should I size up? I keep looking and not buying cos I have no idea what size haha!

@Mamabearwhere I’ve been having cramping and aches and pains still! I’m the same as you I worry but I had a scan at the weekend and baby is fine! I’m assuming it’s because our uterus is moving upwards now so everything’s stretching more x

@MrsMcNtobe well H&M maternity jeans are really random! They don’t come in sizes they come in like small medium large Xl etc which I found annoying. I’m about a size 12 and I’ve gone for a medium, they aren’t overly stretchy denim on the legs, last time I had maternity jeans from topshop and they were much more comfy but I’m just going to keep these H&M ones cus they were in the sale 🤷🏼‍♀️ I went for my normal size in topshop, you can still get them from ASOS

@Maybebaby29 oh that is random! Same happened to me in Asda the other say with non wired comfy bras and I had absolutely no idea what size to buy so I just put them back! I’m dying for shops to open so I can actually go in and look for things!

@MrsMcNtobe I know same here! I’m hoping we can actually try things on too! Hated not being able to try things on
