I’ve just been called by the doctors surgery to say that I need to speak to my GP about my blood tests last week. The first telephone appointment they have is on 8th March, so I’m assuming it’s nothing urgent, but she wouldn’t say.

@gigi556 I feel your pain. I've booked a private scan for tonight because I couldn't get through to my midwife yesterday and didn't want to wait until today. I've got the day off today so trying to do housework to busy myself but it's so hard. I hope everything is ok for you 🤞

@gigi556 keep your thoughts positive if you can! I freaked myself out yesterday to the point I gave myself a migraine with stressing about the scan. The waiting is so bad, I know saying think postive doesn’t help but you’ve got all of us sending positivity your way too x

Scan showed a strong heartbeat and baby was jumping around like it was laying on a trampoline. No problems with the fluid behind the neck either so I think I’m going to skip the harmony test as that was our sort of sign if we should look further or not.

Going to pop into work tomorrow to see how we go forward there with my boss. Even though our hotels closed to tourists we have a two and a half week booking for ice hockey teams, they stay three days then another team comes, they also have full board in our hotel and as we’re down to two staff that means normally I’d be asked to work the full 2,5 weeks without a break about 10 hrs a day, great for overtime but I don’t want that much stress! What is good here in Germany is pregnant people aren’t allowed to work sundays, bank holidays or after 8pm, to be sure we have enough rest. But it does kinda leave work in the shit. Hopefully my boss will have been looking for my replacement already... I’ll try not to worry about things out of my control.

I'm 10+1 today and had a pretty eventful first trimester so far, I was in hospital at 8 weeks on a drip for hyperemisis which seems to be under control now, I had a very bad day with it yesterday but today is a little better. Got my 12w scan in two weeks and feeling very nervous! They scanned me at the hospital at 8+3 and saw baby with a lovely heartbeat so im hoping that's a good sign.

How is everyone doing? Looking forward to following you all!

@unicornpower hey hun!!! I know I lost everyone too then joined this one. Glad to hear your sickness is under control now. I had last scan at 7+4 was measured at 7+6 and I am I think 10+3 today, I have my 12 week scan at 11+4 next Wednesday so really nervous now xx

@unicornpower no idea what happened to the other group! Glad you are out of hospital now and feeling a bit better! Hopefully it will all stop at 12 weeks for you x

I thought the glucose test was routine for everyone at 25ish weeks.

I have a high bmi though and had to have one already dry to rule out any issues now. However will then have to have another one still later down the line.

I had midwife appointment yesterday who gave up pretty easily on trying to get my blood for the normal first trimester test so hoping there is more success Friday when then need to collect it twice over ! Then will have another one at my scan next week, going and to look like a drug user at this rate soon!

Thanks for all the well wishes. Unfortunately, it wasn't good news at the scan. No heartbeat was found and baby was measuring 8 + 5 weeks (should be 10 + 4). I really appreciate all your support and wish everyone the best with their pregnancies.

@Bubbles1st I’m not sure, I hear so many things. I’ll have mine tho and hope it all goes ok.

Oh goodness I’m the same! They can never get blood out of me! They have said from when I had my MMC last year to tell them I need it taken out of the top of my hand as it’s much easier... so I’ve had all my bloods from my hand this time round 🤢

@CherylLW I had a GT test last pregnancy and will need one again this time. Last time the drink was fine but after a while I felt a bit queezy with the heat and lack of food. The worst part was the number of attempts it took to find a good vein for the end of test bloods.
I've heard some places are just doing the fasting blood test at the moment to reduce the number of people/length of time you are in the waiting room
