Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

I had a scan on Monday at 11 weeks with EPU to check all ok following a MC last year. I've got my 12 week one booked on the 1st ( I should be just over 13 weeks then) everything was ok at the scan but tonight I've had some brown blood which is exactly what happened last year. However I found out at 9 weeks last time but the baby had not grown past 6 weeks.
I'm going to ring the midwife tomorrow, I just wondered if anyone had experienced this? The baby was moving loads on Monday but now I'm so worried something has gone wrong 😭

Bubbles1st · 21/02/2021 21:56

@RadDarwazeh I feel you, I didn't think we could get pregnant and definitely would have taken better care of myself if I had known

I'm also sad that I'm going to be an extra burden on the NHS. I've now just decided to enjoy the extra care of the consultant and hope it makes the pregnancy less anxious. Although I am having my blood test tomorrow and I'm feeling really anxious about being high risk due to age and bmi.

Scotti84 · 22/02/2021 09:16

Thanks guys, as much as it’s crappy no one is really relaxed it is good to know I’m not alone in the worry. Such a big day, I find out if all is ok, if it is I can tell my dad and friends, I’ll have an idea of whether I’m allowed to work or not, and what I should be avoiding. Feels like after today I’ll actually be able to make a few plans for the coming months.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today! I’ll let you know how it all went later! 🤞

Kirky658 · 22/02/2021 09:53

@scotti84 I know exactly how you feel, my 12 week scan is the 3rd so next week then planning to tell work the following Monday and then we can start sorting stuff in the house etc too. I am a bit nervous my 12 week scan is at 11+4 but it is basically 12 weeks I guess..

gigi556 · 22/02/2021 10:35

@RaeRae84 did they do an internal scan as that could perhaps cause bleeding? I think if you had a heartbeat that's really good news

gigi556 · 22/02/2021 10:38

I've been a bit quiet on here as I am trying to spend less time on my phone!

Unfortunately, I started bleeding over the weekend so I'm feeling pretty low. I'm booked in for a scan at the EPAU tomorrow afternoon (soonest they could get me in!) I've had really mild symptoms this pregnancy which has caused me worry the whole time so I'm just not really feeling too positive. No cramping or pain which is good but it feels like a long wait until tomorrow afternoon.

MummyLJD · 22/02/2021 10:41

I have my 12 week scan this thurs (will be 13+2) & abit nervous, @RaeRae84 i had 2 mornings with some blood back at 9/10 weeks followed by about a 10 days brown discharge. Even though i told midwife & hospital no early scans given. I have however got quite a bump going especially up top an very hard, the sickness is still not letting up so think thats a good sign. Roll on Thursday so it can also be out in the open Smile

Scotti84 · 22/02/2021 11:08

Sorry to hear that @gigi556. The waiting feels like a lifetime doesnt it! I hope it’s just some weird body thing and everything is ok for you. Sending positive thoughts!

@Kirky658 I get confused with the dates too. Technically when you’re 11+1 you’re in the 12 week but is that then the ‘safe’ point or is that actually 13 weeks? And they change the dates about a bit so who actually knows? I try not too think too deep into it, not easy for me atm but still.

Anyone got any tips for headaches? I think it’s just stress with the appt today but it’s annoying as hell! Might try a bit of relaxation/meditation, see if I can shut off my brain for a bit!

Kirky658 · 22/02/2021 11:15

@gigi556 I hope everything goes OK hun. No pain I would say is a good sign. Everything crossed for you ❤️
@scotti84 you sound exactly like me I'm trying so hard not to think about it. I feel very pregnant right now with the fatigue, sore boobs and mood swings for sure. Nausea has abated but I think that's because I've been snacking more regularly to stop it, I had a bad bout yesterday when walking round B&M...i will ask them at my scan next week I think if I am safe to start to tell people then or not, I'm hopeful I'll be a few days further than I thought as when I went for early scan I was dated 2 days ahead, but who knows what goes on inside our bellies!!?

Noodles4Me · 22/02/2021 12:00

Good luck ladies with your scans. So stressful before isn't it?

I had harmony yesterday and scan again, all good, baby still showing a week ahead!!

Also got engaged, hoping a very very small (4 guests) wedding in May complete with bump!

Scotti84 · 22/02/2021 12:32

@Noodles4Me Congratulations! That’s lovely news!!! What a nice year this is shaping up to be for you guys!

Kirky658 · 22/02/2021 12:41

@noodles4me awwww hun that's so lovely, congratulations! I wish I could get engaged all over again, we've been married 2 years in August x

Bubbles1st · 22/02/2021 12:47

@Noodles4Me congratulations- was it a surprise?
I am wondering if we should take advantage of a small wedding before baby comes, but even if small he parents won't be able to come from abroad.

bewitchingnight · 22/02/2021 12:51

Congrats @Noodles4Me that's lovely news.

Hope your scan goes well today @Scotti84

Noodles4Me · 22/02/2021 13:02

Cheers guys. We've talked about getting married but nothing concrete but was surprised at the (very unromantic) proposal. Hoping ring sorted this week.

Anyone else, go for it whilst you are not obliged to please everyone with a big wedding. Luckily we both hate weddings so the simpler and smaller the better.

RaeRae84 · 22/02/2021 13:10

@gigi556 hi! No it was a normal ultrasound.
@MummyLJD good luck with your scan on Thursday 🤞
I don't know if I over panicked about it. I've had nothing this morning or during today so hoping it's just spotting. I've got a phone call tomorrow with the midwife anyway so will let her know. Just had visions of last year repeating as it's how it started but I'm just going to be more positive today and keep going X

FTEngineerM · 22/02/2021 13:19

Congratulations @Noodles4Me!! How exciting.

Hope everything goes ok @gigi556 fingers crossed for you.

Exciting all the scans this week, I have no idea how I am going to occupy my brain until Friday 😬 I thought about it less in the beginning now worry has just taken over but without any actual reason.

gigi556 · 22/02/2021 13:20

@Noodles4Me congratulations! Absolutely fantastic news!
@RaeRae84 hope it's all ok then. Like I said, if you've littering just seen a wriggling baby and heartbeat chances everything are ok seem good.

gigi556 · 22/02/2021 13:21

@FTEngineerM thanks. I appreciate it :)

RaeRae84 · 22/02/2021 13:30

@gigi556 yes baby was super wriggly and the lady said everything looked fine so I can't imagine in a week everything has changed. I'm just going to keep positive for the next week until my next scan 🤞

MrsMcNtobe · 22/02/2021 13:35

@Kirky658 @Poppins2016 it was the best meal I’ve had in weeks, only problem is it’s now all I want to eat 😂 I did end up asleep for half 8 in a lil food coma!

Mamabearwhere · 22/02/2021 13:57

@Noodles4Me ah congratulations! How exciting :)

Equimum · 22/02/2021 14:34

Noodles4Me congratulations! All so exciting! We’ll be celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary next month!

gigi556 I’m sorry you are going through this horrible experience. I have everything crossed for the scan tomorrow.

Brightspark12 · 22/02/2021 15:16

@Scotti84 I got some of that forehead stuff off Amazon to try not to take paracetamol when I have a headache and it makes your head feel like it’s on fire (prob to distract you form the headache 😂) does work tho.

Poppins2016 · 22/02/2021 15:45

I had my 12 week scan this afternoon, baby was very wrongly and everything's looking good!

Now I've got to decide when to tell work... I told them at 14 weeks last time and then started to feel like public property! Wondering whether I can hold out to 20 weeks(ish) but this is my second, so I guess we'll see how rapidly bump grows (it's certainly more obvious this time round)... I don't attend the office or see colleagues very often, so loose dresses could work.
My boss will be OK with it as long as he has enough notice to plan cover (20 weeks should do it)!
