Hi everyone how are you guys feeling? Those due early sept have you found your nausea/sickness has improved yet? I’m clinging on to hope that this feeling will pass soon, I can feel myself slipping into depression with his constant relentless 24/7 nausea and can’t find the motivation to get out of bed.

I went for another scan yesterday, saw baby’s heartbeat and they dated me 8W6dways. I know it’s only 4/5 weeks until second trimester but feels like a life time away at the moment.

RaeRae84 · 18/02/2021 09:28

@Mamabearwhere I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and I am still feeling nauseous but I'm not as bad as I was at all. I felt the same, was starting to feel depression creep in as I just felt so awful all the time.
I have started running again this week and even though I'm still eating a lot (it helps me feel less sick) I can eat healthier things than a few weeks ago. I'm managing to get through the work days in the office as well. Tuesday I did go straight to bed when I got home but last night I managed to run, cook dinner and make food for the rest of the week so there is progress!!
I use the travel bands and use some essential oils on the back of my wrist which are meant to help. I'm definitely not 100% but my symptoms started at 7 weeks and I feel like maybe I'm slowly turning the corner now. It's my first baby so I feel like my anxiety doesn't help either.
I really hope you feel better soon, hang in there X

Equimum · 18/02/2021 09:36

Noodles4Me I had a similar thing with my eldest. They said I was around a week further in that I thought I was and was biggish, but not huge (8lb15), so unless you have particular reason to have a big baby, I wouldn’t be too worried in that front.

When I was with the midwife the other day, she actually commented that my babies had been getting bigger each time! I have to say, that has worried me slightly, as my second was 9lb8. I’m trying to console myself with the knowledge that the 9lb8 one was born much easier than than the ‘smaller’ one.

Noodles4Me · 18/02/2021 09:53

@Equimum I'm more worried as I'm not 12+6 unless I conceived on a period. Do that gestation is purely on size.

I'm sure it's fine and will even itself out but blimey. Shock Was always going for a ELCS anyway for various reasons so might not need to worry...got my consultant appointment in two weeks so will see what she says.

Prayingforamiracle2021 · 18/02/2021 10:02

Hi everyone hoping I can join
I am 6 weeks pregnant after 5 miscarriages so praying for a miracle this time as you can imagine.
I have a scan booked for 3rd March , so far everything going well - I remain positive each day
Laura 😊

Equimum · 18/02/2021 10:16

Noodles4Me yes, I think the gestation at 12 week scan is calculated entirely based on size. As I say, I had the same thing and it doesn’t really make any difference unless you go overdue. That was an issue for us as they tried to insist on interventions at ten days past their date and not mine (so I was only a few days overdue according to my dates), but TBF, most people just want the baby out by then. If you are going for an ELCS it won’t make much difference. If your dates are accurate, the baby will still be a full-term at the time of the planned procedure.

Kirky658 · 18/02/2021 10:17

@raerae84 yayyy another runner!!!! I am 9+4 and have been running since I found out albeit a lot slower and a lot less mileage! How are you finding it?

@prayingforamiracle2021 welcome, oh hun you have been through the mill, this one is a sticky bean I bet ❤️ I have my 12 week scan on the 3rd March so let's hope it's a lucky day for us both xx

Prayingforamiracle2021 · 18/02/2021 10:20

@Kirky658 sticky bean I like that 😊 certainly feels like so far so good - it’s hard to get excited so I just take each day that goes by as a positive. cheers to 3rd March it’s going to be a good day X

leftitlate37 · 18/02/2021 10:23

Hey @Kirky658 - another runner here too! im struggling so much :s feeling fat, heavy and slow! managing to keep weekly mileage up but already finding it tough going - had hoped to still be finding it ok but no such luck! going to be sad when cant run with usual mates cos such a slow coach! Just hope that can at least continue running for as long as poss fingers crossed. 11.5 weeks on dates and my running clothes are a little snug!!!
COngrats @Prayingforamiracle2021 - sorry for what youve been thru before. Keep everything crossed for u and roll on that scan soon!

Prayingforamiracle2021 · 18/02/2021 10:26

@leftitlate37 🤞🤞roll on , thank you 🙏

RaeRae84 · 18/02/2021 10:27

@Kirky658 I'm very slow!! My last run was 13th January, then I got covid and my morning sickness kicked in at the same time so I have felt really rough!! This is the first week I thought I need to get back out. Bit gutted as before xmas I was getting back to old form but I would much rather have my baby and worry about it after!
Just taking it really steady, I have a PT so we are coming up with a new plan now I'm starting to feel better. Just desperate to stay as healthy as possible (hard when I just want to eat!!)
How are you finding it? Are you going to try and keep going the whole way if you can?

Kirky658 · 18/02/2021 10:53

@prayingforamiracle2021 ❤️❤️❤️

@leftitlate37 I'm exactly the same. I'm not as far gone as you but the other day I went out and my top felt tight and I'm starting to 'show' think it is just bloat but I felt like people were starting to stare. I don't know why running while pregnant is such a bad thing! I'm struggling with pace now, used to run with a club and we moved to another town last year so I started running with a neighbour. Pre BFP I was running 8:45min mile sometimes quicker.. Now I'm 10mm plus lol!

@raerae84 to be honest it is the only thing keeping me sane, I suffer badly with anxiety and as I have endometriosis keep worrying about how the pregnancy will progress. But I know nothing I do can change it so like you say trying to eat healthy even though I want to eat crap all the time! Last night we had homemade chilli con carne, loads of veg in it, with jacket potatoes and omg I was in heaven. I really want to keep running as long as I can, ideally up to 6 months would be great then just walks with the dog after that. Who knows hey! X

RaeRae84 · 18/02/2021 11:02

@Kirky658 totally get that! Have always used exercise to help my mental health more than anything and having to stop for a month was hard. I'm happy to be out this week even if it's slow.
I had a mc last year so also a bit concerned but like you say nothing you can do. Just have to hope for the best!
Oo that sounds like a nice meal, will add that to my meals for the weekend! I definitely like I can actually eat fruit and veg again after weeks of toast and crisps 😂

Scotti84 · 18/02/2021 11:25

Hi all, anyone else having trouble sleeping due to daft stresses? I’ve been so tired but can’t sleep thinking about when the hotel opens again and I have to go back to work. Normally I’d be racing to get back but we only have two people working front office and restaurant due to having lost staff due to corona (they left I mean). I just don’t know how I’m going to cope doing a 2pm til 11pm shift running between checking people in, answering phones, taking orders and serving in the restaurant, filling the drink fridges, lugging beer barrels around and having to go up to the rooms to make extra beds if things are forgotten. It’s always a stress but I’m a capable person and i just get on with it, but now I’ve got this little bean to think about and on top of that the risk of mixing with people from all over heightens the risk of getting corona. The rules here are that I should just do office work but when I’m alone in a shift and people need things I can’t just sit there and say sorry I’m preggers I’m not doing that. I think I’m also not supposed to work after 8pm but my colleague doesn’t do late shifts. I’m hoping a chat with my doctor on Monday will help and maybe he can do like a letter to my employer of what I can and can’t do, I’m probably worrying unnecessarily but it’s stressing me out. So if anyone has good tips for sleeping and destressing send them this way!

Kirky658 · 18/02/2021 12:17

@scotti84 no tips on the sleeping I'm afraid as I've also been struggling! My job is going to be difficult when shops start opening again, I am doing from home atm but usually based on the road having meetings etc so am worried how that will work. I am hoping that hr will be supportive as I've read you can be put onto alternative duties for the same pay if your current role isn't suitable so maybe see if your gp can write you a letter or something to that extent xx

CherylLW · 18/02/2021 12:40

Just to let you all know, I had my scan this morning and everything was perfect! I was so relieved and can now finally breathe a bit!! Still 11+6 which is a good thing, just what I thought!!

Hopefully lots of luck for all you ladies with scans coming up ❤️

KHR1 · 18/02/2021 13:10

Glad you scan went well @CherylLW!

Feeling nervous about being back to work too. I'm a primary teacher and as much as I know the kids need to be back in, sitting in a room full of people who find social distancing hard and with poor ventilation freaks me out a lot! I've tried lavender spray on my pillow which helps with the sleep a little.

Equimum · 18/02/2021 13:16

CherylLW congratulations, that’s fantastic news.

Hopefulmummie · 18/02/2021 13:45

@CherylLW brilliant your scan went well. :)
I have mine in 2 weeks and getting more nervous as my sickness is definitely easing but I know this can be normal.

I'm 9+3 does anyone else feel more normal?

bewitchingnight · 18/02/2021 14:10

@CherylLW great news about your scan, that's so exciting!

I'm with you guys on the worrying about work and sleeping front, when I wake up in the night I feel like my mind is too full. No tips unfortunately!

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and the nausea has definitely changed recently, at first it was pretty much all day long and now it's just in the evenings. I'm feeling better and can exercise and eat healthier again but when I do feel sick it's a much stronger wave of nausea than previously if that makes sense. Does anyone else feel like this?

CherylLW · 18/02/2021 14:13

Thank you everyone ❤️

@Hopefulmummie I would say it’s normal for the nausea to ease off a bit. I still have it but now it’s mainly if I get too hungry. It’s nowhere near what it was! X

Kirky658 · 18/02/2021 14:39

@cheryllw yayyy!!!! ❤️

Chica1990 · 18/02/2021 15:42

@Hopefulmummie I’m 9+6 and have felt so much better since 8+3. I have a private scan tomorrow and so nervous! I had a reassurance scan due to previous ectopic at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat but I know that doesn’t guarantee anything. I feel silly having one tomorrow so soon before the 12 week scan but I just need to see it with my own eyes.

@CherylLW that’s great!

jellybean13419 · 18/02/2021 15:54

Hi everyone,
We had our early scan today and all is looking really good. We saw the little heartbeat too! I have irregular periods and wasn't totally sure exactly when I ovulated, but the scan today is putting me at 7 weeks 6 days and EDD of 1st October, so I'll be leaving this group to the October one I'm afraid.
Wishing you all a safe and happy pregnancy x

Poppysmile · 18/02/2021 16:07

Heyy can I ask if any of you have had your flu jab yet? I’m going for mine shortly but I’m worried for some reason even tho my midwife told me to go have it!
